  1. It already was most impressive, but still keeps getting better. Amazing job!
  2. Hi Jim, In your review you mentioned the different colour axles and (somewhat) question the logic behind it. When building the Claas, I noticed a few possible explanations. The odd length axles (5, 7) are distributed by color between the tractor and the attachments. Not that it makes a lot of sense to me, but possibly to TLG it did (making the building process more idiot proof etcetera). And the 8L and 4L come in black and red. The black ones are necessary to avoid colour vomit in the cabin and front mudguards, while the reds are used in the internals. That might explain the different colours, although of course they could have used black ones for the entire model...
  3. Hi Jim, Many thanks for your excellent review! Do you, as an Admin, know if the Volvo and BWE will be reviewed on EB?
  4. Second that. Mine arrived this morning. First thing I did was putting the tires on my 42030. Alas they don't fit very well. In the front they rub the mudguards slightly, in the back they scratch the chassis when in extreme suspended position. Nothing which couldn't be solved I guess. Maybe soms pics follow later, but I first want to build my Claas!
  5. What is your point? Different model, totally different parts.
  6. Would the tires also look good on 42030? If possible, can you post a picture in your review? Many thanks, and your teasers are killing me...;) There may be some reviews before yours, but your pics are the best and well worth biding time...
  7. Amazing remake! Reminds me of the thrill I felt when I got the original for my 9th birthday. Time to rebuild!
  8. Very nice indeed! I'm impressed by your creativity. Haven't got it myself (yet...), so I can't help you. But this topic is gonna help me when I want to quickly look up the mods I want...
  9. Wow! Sell this idea to TLG and we have a flagship model for 2017!
  10. Jim said no in his review. A bit strange since they tend to wear out, as he mentioned.
  11. Great, always looking forward to your reviews!
  12. It sure seems as if there are PF lights in the front...
  13. Too bad only six of these amazing creations can get my points: 10: 10 5: 6 12: 4 1: 3 6: 2 2: 1
  14. My highly subjective opinion: 13: 10 16: 6 11: 4 14: 3 4: 2 20: 1 I must admit that I was a bit sceptical about this contest, but a lot of truly fantastic creations have easily convinced me!
  15. Funny. My instructions have a step 3 which adds just these two pins. Apparently the instructions already have had an update.
  16. 8466, for all reasons mentioned above. The horror of searching for a few black pins w/ towball between hundreds of black pins and other black parts...
  17. Not to be nitpicky, but actually 42009 had 495, with about the same number of parts in total. Big sets just happen, or need, to have many pins. Stunning review by the way, Jim! Although I needn't be convinced, it's nice to see that your review seems to get people enthousiast. TLC should be grateful to you!
  18. According to the small pic on the box (down right) it should! At least, I think I see a small round arrow around it...
  19. So difficult to pick the best, I decided to go for originality: 37: 10 45: 6 28: 4 17: 3 33: 2 26: 1
  20. does the dump truck (42035) have a 1-cilinder engine next to the cabin? That would be a nice surprise!
  21. That's compensated for by the angry hamsters on the stickers! By the way, I was planning to skip this one, but your review makes me reconsider… My wife won't be happy...
  22. You're very welcome! Tried to post pics of the sticker sheet, but I failed. Need to practice a bit if I really want to enter the MINI-MOC contest! A good thing by the way you didn't place 8265 behind 42030 on your last picture; it would almost completely disappear!
  23. Other sets with stickers for A and B models are 8880, 8480 and 8458.
  24. Thanks, Jim, for your excellent review and stunning pics! On the other hand: no thanks, you just made the waiting for august another bit harder… ;) By the way, does it have a working steering wheel?
  25. Cool! Could you make building instructions please? ;)
