  1. Thank you. Third Midifigure of this year is Darth Vader. The force is strong with this one.
  2. Thank you both. I am currently updating my old version 1 midifigures, and here is my next one, Luke from Hoth Battle scene in his orange jumper suit, or better known to my youngest son as an Orange Guy.
  3. My first build of 2018. It's been too long since I worked on the Midifigures. It was time for an update with better leg, arm and head articulation with a complete head to toe redesign. Something I have been wanting to do since their inception. I present you with my favorite Star Wars character Princess Leia. More characters to come. Let me know what you think.
  4. Deck the Space Halls in a creative way.
  5. Oh man, this project is so fun to follow. Thanks for allowing us to watch this evolve. What a fun yet technically challenging project.
  6. Hey guys. Sorry for the mass delay in response, I guess I was really busy. You can download the Lego Digital Designer of the UCS R2-D2 conversion to R5-D4 via the link below. I detached the head so that you can edit the file easier and only focus on the head parts list. The other conversions are re-coloring of the body on the front and back from white or dark blue to red. There are not changes to the legs recoloring, I know, I was surprised as well when comparing R2-D2 and R5-D4. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3ME1BfzxExrR1VGQ3FRemR2Y1U Let me know if there are any issues. Miro
  7. Amzing sculpting. The curves and connections are so human and very feminine. It must have been an exercise in female body sculpting as much as technical connectivity. Great job in pulling it off. Getting shaping, articulation and seamless joints is not an easy task.
  8. Spectacular Amsterdam and Dutch corner slice. The interiors are just as nicely detailed as the exterior. I vividly remember Amsterdam looking like this, especially with the canal boat houses. If you were to keep adding to it, I would suggest making a bridge crossing the canal to the other side with another side of row homes. Miro
  9. MEK should work with welding Lego together. MEK is also used by hobby model builders to fuse plastics together. The bond is permanent as MEK melts the two plastics together allowing them rebond together. All of this happens within seconds. Allow 24 hours total cure time. Make sure to use a needle dropper as you will only need a tiny drop to fuse the two pieces together. Have the pieces handy when doing this, as the solvent will evaporate quickly. In that regard, work in a well ventilated area away from any source of heat/flame.
  10. I have been quite silent and away from this forum and this thread for the last 6 months. Here is an update for what has become now a series, as I like to call Woodland Creatures. The bear cub and the wolf have received an updated look. Bear Cub by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Wolf's howl by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Woodland Creatures by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Cheers, Miro
  11. Thank you. Yes, instructions of the AT-AT and the base can be downloaded from here: https://humblebricks.com/star-wars/ . Just scroll to the bottom of the page for the AT-AT instructions, snow base LDD and Rebrickable page link. Cheers
  12. Thank you. I recycled the base from an Arctic Explorerer MOC and replaced the trackprints for AT-AT footprints. A number of people are asking for instructions for the base, so I will make a LDD file of one an add it to the Rebrickable page and my web page as a download link shortly.
  13. What a great shuttle MOC. I as other too like that cockpit. You have nailed the shaping of it. I think I would prefer fewer studs on the wings to better match the sleekness of the nose and the top wing, but all in all ace job!
  14. Taking a little break from building a minifigure scale AT-AT and going in the opposite direction in scale. Not sure what to call this scale, so I call it Tiny AT-AT. The AT-AT measures 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall. Feel free to build your own, follow this link to my web site for the instructions, LDD file and the Rebrickable page: https://humblebricks.com/star-wars/
  15. I am currently neck deep in building Jhaelon's minifigure scale AT-AT. It's been a slow going as I look for LBG parts as I continue building it. Feet and legs are done and I am about halfway done with the body. After that the head and undercarriage details. Hopefully another week or two to finish it. Jhaelon's AT-AT https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-7540/jhaelego/minifig-scale-at-at-w-interior/ Although I have been wanting to make a better walking AT-AT than what Lego has produced. Here is my inspiration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=BR&hl=pt&v=34tgu7ULkeM Progress update:
  16. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. Glad you like the Vikings, shields and water. The MOC was a big hit at the "House of Denmark" local event in my town. You may browse for Lego miniland scale builds in this Flickr group (https://www.flickr.com/groups/975302@N21/pool/) to get the sense of proportions, but you may need to scroll a bit to get passed the non-miniland stuff, as this group is not really being curated. Also this Legoland set (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=40115-1#T=I)has Miniland figure representation, but purists will tell you that actual miniland figures have the 1x2 jumper plate between the neck and the head to form a chin. However, who cares, build them as you wish. I did not use the chin on my vikings. Thanks. Those shields do add a nice pop of color to an otherwise dark colored ship.
  17. Thank you. Glad you like it. Thanks. It is one of my favorites as well. In fact, it's the only UCS version I have built, but the UCS version is so strictly for display only. I don't have any of the system ones either. I have not seen it in the video game. I just thought about how big it would have to be to fit a minifigure in the cockpit and went from there. I totally agree. I think midiscale is an overlooked scale that Lego has not capitalized on much. Some of the Microfighters look goofy, like the X-wing, and others look very cute, like the AT-AT, Y-wing and Krenik's ship. You are right, I have built it for the FBTB contest, but not sure if it will make more sense to include it as a midiscale or micro fighter scale. Either case, both LDD files are available via the link in my original post. Something quick and nice to build while one awaits the May the 4th Lego sale event and whatnot. You are too kind. I am not sure if I got the proportions spot on, but I like the overall solutions for the shapes. It's quite sturdy, so feel free to give it a try. LDD files are freely downloadable, just follow the link to my site, they are in the Star Wars section, at the bottom of the page.
  18. I designed this microfighter plus-scale Lambda T-4A class Imperial Shuttle for an upcoming Star Wars event and I thought I would share it with the Lego Star Wars community. You can download the Lego Digital Designer file via my site link here: https://humblebricks.com/star-wars/. Features hinged wings, fully retractable landing gears and an open cockpit seat for one pilot (as a customary microfighter feature). You can download that LDD file via the link listed above, and below is what it looks like (a render image for now). 19. I always liked the Vikings theme, but I missed it during my dark ages. I have collected a few of those figures since, but those beautiful boat hulls escaped me. Our LUG is doing an event at our local "House of Denmark" annual local event and since Lego being Danish, we participate. I wanted to build something Danish-y and hence the subject of Vikings. I used the ship hull pieces that the Pirate ships use, in dark brown, and built up from there using dark brown 1x4 tiles and various slopes. It became apparent that the ship was too wide for a minifigure scale Viking ship, so a miniland scale it became. I enjoyed building the miniland vikings and their shields. Total build time of 4 days for the ship, Vikings, tree and scenery. Vikings by Miro Dudas, on Flickr
  20. Amazing Tantine IV build and I totally agree with your building and through process. I go back and forth between real brick and LDD when constructing things, using the advantage of each medium. I was never a fan of the UCS Tontine IV, but you made it the way it a proper UCS version should have been done by Lego.
  21. Thank you everyone for enjoying this series. Here is another duo picture of Han and Leia at Echo Base. Sure, the whole debate of was Han's jacket blue or brown. I still like the blue look, because that is how it appears on the screen. 22. The atmosphere and scene recreation is done exceptionally well. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Just catching up on this thread with additional Leia builts This one below is the original Star Wars Tantive IV scene version of Leia, but with her hood on. A New Hope Duo (revisited) by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Moving on to Empire Strikes Back, Leia in her Hoth outfit Hoth Leia by Miro Dudas, on Flickr Continuing on to the next episode, Return of the Jedi, with Boushh bounty hunter outfit Leia Boushh Leia by Miro Dudas, on Flickr And to round things of, still working on Slave Leia and Endor Leia cheers, Miro
  24. For those that would rather have proportional pilot figures, I have built these scaled pilots Luke Skywalker (right) and his expendable gunner Dak Ralter (left). Follow the link below for LDD file. I have posed them in an action pose as they hurry to their snowspeeder for some AT-AT wrangling shenanigans. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-7457/Miro/miniland-rebel-pilots/ To make them fit in the seats, they might have to lose their lower body or some modification may be needed. However I did scale them accordingly, assuming ~6 foot tall pilots and a 17 foot long snowspeeder. cheers, Miro
  25. My Manatee prize C arrived the other day. Thank you CopMike and Lego. It was a pleasant surprise to find in my mailbox and the figs are great too. Keep up the good work you do.
