I think that aquaraiders octopus is awesome, especially how they reworked that turret/joint piece and added an iris inside the eye *y* unfortunately, :-( it is the only thing I'm intertested in, out of this set.

Pic Review: Aqua Raiders 7770 Deep Sea Treasure Hunter
ghoulrealm replied to bdd's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
SirNadroj, I like your crab moc *y* Your pics of the box are a bit more clear than previous images. -
Those are sweet! I like the head best without the tile on top. Ive seen that leg design here before. It's a good design and posable, but a bit weak at the hip as far as holding up the torso.

I was thinking it needs some more bley dispersed thoughout the ship. Also add hints of dark green bricks in addition to some transgreen seaweeds. Sadly, I have not touched this ship since the last update :-( I've been engrossed in the aqua raiders and other brick built beast that I found lately. *y*

I would eat any kind of meat as long as it was muscle tissue only, thoroughly cooked, and NOT seasoned with onion, garlic or any of their botanically similar tasting relatives. My favorite is clam, squid, and white fish. *y* My most hated foods are beets, asparigus, garlic, onion, and anything resembling onion such as chives, Shallots, or cilantro :-X I do not allow onion in my house, if you bring it, you will eat outside or you can just leave. I also learned how to cook because it's difficult to find many foods that don't contain onion/garlic seasoning! as for horror... I once ate so many pickled okra, I got sick and didn't eat any for 2 years.

Pirates Of The Caribbean - The Curse Of The Black Pearl

I stole that crow's nest design for me ghost ship...arrrg -
I thought she looked her best before ANY alterations. The makeup alone makes her look fake.

I would assume if it did "eat" other ships, it would just chew a big enough chunk of a ship's hull to sink her. not to swallow an entire ship. Though I think your'e right about it being astetically menacing only.

I like the the flying greeblie! *y* If you were to add extra sheilding I would limit it to a few areas, sort of like a motorcycle's fenders. however that would detract from the matrix look it has.
-
Don't forget to add this set next time! That drawer face is creepy :-D :-D X-D

Sweet! *y* I for one love Japanese demons. I would love to see more demons, and in system brick form as well. The mix of bricks on the tengu works well.

This is a carrack, my favorite type of ship. I love almost everything about this design aside from yhe stairs.

*y* That's pretty neat! Does it roll when you blow on the sail?

Kraken can be almost any type of sea monster. Contemporary thought of as a giant squid. This happens to be more octpus like

WAAAAAH! Lego killed my sculpting hobby WAAAAAAH!

I think Femo was the brand that takes half an hour to knead and then is too warm and viscous to hold it's shape well. I will knead sculpy a little but I don't like it too soft. The firmer the better. I usually use a toothpick or foil armeture to stabilize and hold forms esp. while cooking. Ive never used a heat gun. I will use a toaster oven or microwave that has a convection setting. I once made the tinytoon's cat and forgot to set the microwave to convection. It was malformed (pretty funny looking) but caused a lot of noctious fumes and probably would have caught fire if I hadn't checked on it when I did *wacko* -

ghoulrealm replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in Community
I typically use Sculpey, but I don't make action figures... more like figurines. All the baking clays are too brittle at the small scale for posing and playing. A lot of my modles fell apart before and after baking if they just sit for over a month. >:-( And many ceramics have too be to too large scale and also fell apart during firing. So I stick to sculpey because no needing ans just superglue the pieces that crack off. -

I tend to juggle between my 4 main hobbies; playing instruments, sculpture, videogames, and Lego. Sculpture has taken a back seat to the others as of late, but I still get inspired on occasion. Last year I built some halloween bats, and an alien in a jar. This year i made some mesoamerican artifacts. X-D I used to do alot of dinosuars, but havent in an age. Your Felicia is very good. I've started an Ariel the mermaid a while back but only her head and hands. at least I finished the most difficult parts first. -
I'm impressed with the execution of this design. The color scheme is in high contrast but I love it. The detail is unique and interesting. I agree that the mast are too close together and I would have opted for the blue striped sails if possible. The cannon is quite nice too. One of my overall favorites. Very well done!

The ship's base color and interior is a light orangish brown and glows with a green tint. I would love it, if it is glow in the dark, because as youre probably all aware, I love them ghostly ships. If I recall correctly the ship's interior was rather spars.

ewoks and wookies have brown hands! Maybe you don't have many but I bought so many starwars sets just for the brown bricks alone.

Halloween 06: What has scared you the most
ghoulrealm replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know if it means anything in particular, but the ouiji board never works when I touch it, even with someone else who it was working for. I think it's a good thing actually. Maybe I'm a ghost repellent, or I think is more likely I don't have an exoexpressive subconscience. -
Halloween 06: Lego Studio Monster Sets
ghoulrealm replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I had to have them all. They some of my favorite sets and contain rather unique and rare parts. Athough the dracula set has my most hated piece of all time 'the garlic tile'.... HHISSSSSSSSS Well the piece itself is ok because it is not real, but it represents the second most horrid of flavors/smells. -
Halloween 06: What should Halloween be?
ghoulrealm replied to Zane's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think both. On the night of tricking and treating should be fun and maybe a little bit of gross out yard displays. But tis the season of good ghost stories with friends or paranormal movies in the dark. I love this holliday more than any other. I still carve pumkins and roast the seads, build yard displays and play Toccata and Fugue on my sythesizer with skeleton gloves and in costume(it's difficult, but most of the kids think it's recording at first) -
I like the ghost first the skeleton takes a close second, though I don't recal it but from some pirate sets. I know they are both in a the latest "KK classic castle set." I don't choose these just because of the holiday season,.. I promise!

Halloween 06: MiniFig Contest: ENTRIES
ghoulrealm replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I suppose I'll start us off with the helmsman from myHere there be Mocs thread. I wanted to build something new, but I'm probably not going to get to it in time, So... He is the helmsman of my ghost ship no one knows the names of the the crew or the ship. If you were unlucky enough to glimps this sight, you wouldn't likely live to speak of it. The most frightening aspect of the helmsman is that he has no eyes to navigate his cursed ship. *skull*
