LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
TheNerdyOne_ replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I mean it's outer space, it's not like he's really likely to hit anything. And he can see through the force anyway, really that's the best way to pilot a ship. Your eyes aren't as helpful as you think when piloting a starship, it's mostly about situational awareness. -

A Force Priestess would have been a great addition to Yoda's Starfighter. It is a bit oversized, but I think it's about as small as they could feasibly make it. -

The Rebels version also has a shorter fin and lack of "legs." The Ghost crew seemingly modified it, given that the other Separatist Shuttles we've seen in the previews look more or less the same but with much larger fins. -

Well the new Phantom looks fantastic! Really looking forward to that set Yoda's fighter looks okay, I think I'll like it much more once we get proper images of it though. Definitely going to be picking up both of those sets! -

Since we're talking about this, I think it should be alright for me to share. I was one of the fans that helped with the Minecraft Micro World Cuusoo set, and during that process we got some behind-the-scenes knowledge. The promotional images such as these are definitely real, when they're renders it's pretty easy to tell (just look at some of the various promotional images for the Micro World sets and you'll see what I'm talking about). LEGO may have access to some pretty great rendering software, but it still doesn't compare to an actual model (though it's good enough to work as the images on the box, if you look at the Micro World box I think all of the images are renders). They had us send in some LDD models of alternate builds for the Micro World set, which they rendered, and even with just simple bricks, plates, and tiles like that, it's very easy to tell (though convincing at a glance).Given how much harder it would be to render complex pieces such as these, I can say with almost complete confidence that these are images of an actual model, though they've definitely been edited afterwards. -

The same could be said about the Death Star but look what happened there.I would also very much prefer something new, or at the very least something that hasn't been done so recently. There are plenty of other options, though discussion on those would be better kept for other threads. -
Unfortunately I don't think there is an appropriate hairpiece for her, best thing available is the standard Imperial officer cap. Hopefully she appears in Rebels or something to justify LEGO making a figure of her with a new mold.

Just because it looks like it fits doesn't mean it's actually minifigure-scale. A true minifigure-scale falcon would be 100 studs, or 80 cm, in length. This makes the UCS Falcon just 4 cm too long, and the usual system-scale Falcon 33 cm (or 41 studs) too short. -

He seems to appear briefly in ones of the trailers IIRC. Probably not confirmed, but I do know it's heavily rumored. -

Rogue One. The sets for next year aren't the cheapest, but they're not $500 and he could very easily be featured in one of them. -
Recently I discovered the design that was planned to be used for a refit of the NX-01 for Enterprise season 5 before the show was cancelled, and I fell in love with it immediately! So I thought it would be fun to make a LEGO version, especially since I haven't really found a decent LEGO NX-01. I made the refit version first because I liked it so much, but it didn't take much modification to convert it back to the original design. You might want to watch the episodes. While it may not have a hyperspace drive, it does have a docking ring like the other Jedi starfighters which can be used for hyperspace, and Yoda only uses it as a personal transport between various worlds (including Dagobah) in his journey to learn how to be a force ghost. While it's armed to he could very well use it as a starfighter, he doesn't as far as we see. And it's unlikely he would, as Yoda generally stayed out of combat. -

We aren't getting Yoda's Starfighter instead of the AT-ACT. Unless you want a tiny 30 EUR AT-ACT.Also, we know we're getting two Rogue One sets, one of which is a big one. Who's to say we aren't getting an AT-ACT? Why is that odd? We're still getting prequel and OT sets even though we're in the middle of the new trilogy. TCW is a part of Star Wars, no reason to just disregard it because it's no longer brand new. Well to be fair, he only used it for transport. It wasn't really a combat vehicle. -

This is the first TCW set since the series was cancelled, correct? Well at least we know LEGO hasn't forgotten it, though this set is from one of the last few episode arcs. -

Hopefully either Yoda's or Saesee Tiin's, would kinda suck to get Anakin's again. Sounds like the it could be the Phantom's replacement from season 3. Seems like a pretty steep price point though, considering it's the same size. Hope they don't make it a lot bigger than the Phantom was, would be nice if it fit with the Ghost as well. -

Still loving the U-wing's design! Though the set could use a few improvements, but they should be easy to MOD. That and the AT-ST are probably the only sets I'll get, but the rest don't look bad at all. Also, these images affirm my belief that the new rebel trooper helmet that comes with the U-wing is nearly perfect for the rebel crewmen from Rebels. Really a shame we didn't get this mold in the Combat Frigate set, hopefully they use it in a Rebels set next year! -

I modified the interior as well, just didn't bother with pictures. And personally I don't mind the size too much, and fixing that requires a much more extensive MOD. -

It's Yoda's Hut. I would assume that the person who provided the info for the first post simply didn't specify that, just knew what the figures were. -

It is for me, I would have been more than happy to buy the set had it had an accurate color scheme. -

Just to prove the Combat Frigate can look perfectly fine with a few small adjustments and color changes. -

White plates would make it less screen-accurate. What it needs is orange and yellow plates, but unfortunately those colors aren't available for the parts used in this set.Personally, I was absolutely planning on buying the set despite all my issues with it, but after seeing the review I will definitely just be buying Ahsoka and Sato separately. Nothing about this set makes it at all desirable, especially when I have my own version of this ship already mostly built that I can just add Sato to. -
I did the Sterdic Star Microfighter, planning on doing a bunch of others as well

People have already gotten their hands on the set, she has blue sabers.
