Legends of Chima 2013
lightningtiger replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agree with you on what we can see so far is looking AWESOME, though to me it's a fusion of Ninjago and Animalia....with touches of Donkey Kong Country and some story basis from Flash Gordon. -
Outside of The Avengers this could be the best Disney themed product to be punched out of the Lego factory.....depending on cash and cost - I'll be trying to buy them all........just don't tell my wife ! Interesting to see the hand guns are new but the rifles are old school 1990's Wild West ones ?
-
Which is......? I have to dig up some orange tiles today so I can finish the safety signs - the jackhammer work is going in a totally new place in the beginning of an intersection where a 1x2 tile is missing perfect for a hole in the road ! Now do we have any suggestions for railway warning lights, etc., and NO not the ones to warn cars/trucks.....I'm talking of trackside lighting/warning systems ?
-
Beautiful MOC......such a delight to see so much detailing in it too ! Very 1950's.....that collectable mechanic minifig does look like the Fonz doesn't he ? I the jukebox.....AWESOME work 'ER0L' and Brick On !

REVIEW: 76004 Spider-Man: Spider-Cycle Chase
lightningtiger replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice review 'CoP', cool set.....in my to buy list for sure and the reason is two words Nick Fury ! Interesting bike and car designs......great for playability.....the only downsides......that eye patch strap gap and yes, why is every dam action set coming out with an AC pistol - I find it an odd looking weapon....maybe that's the reason it doesn't look like a current modern hand gun ? That poster looks genuine, perhaps Chima is only going for one season or perhaps cross-over of yet again Cartoon Network will end up with two Lego TV series on at the same time ? Remember the ending of the last series left the door open for another ?
-
Nice suggestion, but I was looking for a humble small shunter that's cheap but still realistic looking to make......please keep those suggestions coming.
-
Wonderful layout.....a delightful mix of city sets and MOC's......excellent work 'soundwave_sw'.....you and your team in your club. I the ski slope and lift.......Brick On in the snow !

REVIEW: 75001 Republic Troopers vs. Sith Troopers
lightningtiger replied to Moexy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for this review 'Moexy', being busy haven't you eh ? Dam it, Lego are trying to twist my arm for buying at least one Old Republic set and it might be this one......the minifigs totally rock, different faces just AWESOME and handy to use in other fleshy sets and not just Star Wars right ? Speeder is nice too.....yeah, looks like three sets might be on the list next year.....just for the love of Star Wars and old times sake. -
REVIEW: 75013 Umbaran HMC (Mobile Heavy Canon)
lightningtiger replied to Moexy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for another review 'Moexy', nice cannon and Ashoka looks AWESOME....she's turning out to be a SW babe eh ? The downside of this set are the Umbaran helmets, Lego must be getting lazy....though I say the heads and torso look fantastic. -
Thanks 'Moexy' for this review.....dam it I was going to buy anymore SW or CW stuff.....but I might have to make a rule to the exception here.....those AWESOME minifigs and cool speeders , only downside.......the blasted DSS. The out-rigging for the sidecar......is that a new technic part ? Like I wrote....might be the only set I might consider buying next year.....it could join the Nightspeeder in my small SW collection.
-
Thanks 'Alasdair', I saw that shunter on Goggle Images.....though I'm thinking a two axle type so I can use a motor from the high speed train.....dam where are those train guys and girls when you need them. (I've only ever MOC'ed one whole engine before.....not sure where I have stashed it...oops ! ). Yeah, I like my little compressor too.....now I must also remember to knock up for track signals too....keep watching everyone (any more suggestions ?).

Excellent and realistic looking fire truck 'Marc' but I do agree with 'Alasdair'.....opening compartments to store equipment might be a good idea. Brick On 'Marc' !

[MOC] L-DI-EGO's INCOM T-65 X-wing Starfighter
lightningtiger replied to L-DI-EGO's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Beautiful creation and I agree......cool and clever targeting computer 'L-DI-EGO' ! Excellent designing and with more realistic flashback reflectors on the laser canons too ! Brick On with the Force 'L-DI-EGO' ! -
Review: 75000 Clone Troopers vs Droidekas
lightningtiger replied to mordatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review 'mordatre', not bad set it will sell....it has that magic word Star Wars written on the box ! I too don't mind the destroyer droids.....there will be some members who will say again that Lego can't get it right. That flick fire weapon is used while no one is sitting at that terminal. Brick On Review On 'mordatre' ! -
G'day everyone, I haven't started on any cars yet....but more importantly since I cancel my train set layby I need to design a Aussie shunter.....any ideas ?
-
