Gee, this one line is getting quoted a lot today eh ? Now as part of posting a project on Cuusoo, the designer/poster must sign over his or her design over to Lego.......just because your design doesn't make 10K, doesn't also mean it won't be produced in some other form by the use of inspiration based redesigning of one's project. Don't think for a moment that Lego's different design teams don't have a good look at Cuusoo to see what fresh angles they can give to their respected themes.

All this talk of copying other people's designs made me think back.......last year when I saw Pekko's mini shops project I thought to my self they look a bit like something I knocked up back in 2010, of course a few months after Pekko's was posted I posted my old designs.....no problems were had there. Though when I think about it again, could have Pekko taken inspiration from my work two years before his Cuusoo entry, those buildings were posted here on EB, Brickshelf, MOCpages and ANZFOL......I guess I'll never know, but really it doesn't worry me. I have learnt that Cuusoo can not be taken seriously, supports are given by people who want too.....though fan-dom rapid voting to 10K can sometimes tick me off, but that's life and everyone sees things from different points of view..

Well, we might get one of his likeness as Bruce Wayne......interesting combo Batman and Superman together......but this talk is for the 2015 topic whicj is a year away so it's not really anything to do with what's coming out next year.

Seeing the wonderful work of 'snaillad' the other day got the tiger thinking.....what could I come up with ? Well, for a change - no stickers but still open backed though. I now present.......Hooper's Hardware Store This the updated store front with scales and sign saying 'Hooper's Hardware'. (edit post date 24/08/2013) Here we see Mr. Hooper about to sweep the front entrance of his store. (original post date 23/08/2013) His father started this business in the late 19th century and modern ideas are the last thing on his mind......he's quite old fashioned in his ways. As you can see the store hasn't changed much since the late 19th century, the big drawers full of hardware, the big paper roll for wrapping parcels, the old school display tables and the big heavy front doors (yes, they do open and close perfectly). Hopefully tomorrow if Mr. Hooper is in a good mood we can get some more interior and close up shots of the store.....but he was a little testy tonight so fingers crossed for tomorrow then. Comments are always welcome, plus any questions for old Mr. Hooper.....hopefully he'll answer them (oh, I hope he doesn't mind being called old ?)

Now I do like those patrol cars......their shape looks so spot on for patrol cars from the USA. Neat modifications to everything else 'mifody'......Brick On while serving and protecting !

Well if timing is anything, since there was a five year gap between coast guard/cargo themes......then farm maybe next year and a new airport the following.....but this is only guess work. Lego in the back rooms know what's happening in 2015 already as it takes time to tool up for new parts and colours.

Thanks for an AWESOME review of an AWESOME set 'mifody', oh man......now I want to really buy this set at least ! I like all the play features and that new mine cart is fantastic ! Again the figures are a great selling point.....man, my arm is really getting twisted now........Brick On Review On 'mifody' !

Oh, someone is being a comedian eh ? Be funny if we end up with farm sets again or a revamp of the garage from 2009......since this year saw both cargo and coast guard sets appear again after 5 years.

Couldn't agree with you more, we should never assume by looks that someone muscle bound is a sports freak or slim and pretty isn't into hunting or extreme sports. These days stereotyping is not pushed on to children at the school level these days.....next year my son is entering high school in a performing arts (acting, music & dance) home group......mostly girls in that group but they all must do tech studies.....woodwork, metalwork and electronics along with their arts subjects. I'm wondering when this topic will see an end, because it does seem to be going around in circles in a way. The simple fact is we should always consider all humans as equals, also that people are different and there can be plus there isn't a stereotype for everyone. It's intolerance and fear that causes many problems in the world, just seeing people for who they are and what they what to be is what we all should aspire to.

The auto transporter could actually be carrying two four/six wides....that's four wide body but six wide wheel/axle combos. Let's hope the second half releases have a truck stop or new servo to go with all these great vehicles......designers at Lego must have thought about it by now.

True, it might be a HQ for the elite forces....but Lego might not riot equipment in Lego City.....it's meant to be peaceful.....though highly unrealistic with that idea.

But as of yet we do not know if we get any more elite police or it will the good old stand ones we have be getting for the past 6 or 7 years ?

While it's true that many of us are getting sick off all the police action in Lego City usually the second half sees different themes/sub-themes being released. Though we'll have to wait until February next year to find those out.

You know 'SalvoBrick' I have the same problem.....I'm never truly finished a town layout. I do like the changes you have made......I think a new post office right next to the bank might be my only suggestion. Brick on 'BrickSalvo' !
