Hello.....there's that new girl's theme for 2014 !
-
Like much of New Mannum has been posted on Cuusoo including my Landmark Store.....titled "Farmers Hardware Store". But since I have a new Landmark building for New Mannum, my old Landmark store was lonely.....so a bit of a redesign and simplification along the way.....i.e. less stickers....just five and here we are......my redesign.......(okay, mostly on the interior ) I actually glue the 1x2 and 1x4 panels in the front of the bottom shelf......I wish I had some white 2x2 corner panels. I made my ballcock float valves again, tossed in some floats and shovels.....and my original water pump from a few years back. Now for the support link......http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/13998.........it's only scored 36 supports since the original design was posted there almost a year and a half ago....so I hope the redo might help.

Disney Princess 2014 Rumors & Discussion
lightningtiger replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
No, no.......I say original Charlies Angels ! -
Thanks 'prateek' and 'eurotrash' for your kind words, I should point out that I have set this design in the 1940's - the same era as 'snaillad's department store so any suggestion must be from that time period.
-
I wonder if there will be new front end body kit parts.....like 6 wide versions of 4 wide parts originally designed for the Cars/Cars2 themes.
-
One word......AWESOME and now that is so Blacktron ! I like the styling of the craft plus it's weapons packs....sweet heat ! Brick On Fight On 'Horatio-Caine' !
-
Nice on 'Kai NRG', now that's a sausage dog ! Brick On 'Kai NRG' !
-
Could this be a tease for something coming back ? It does seem that Lego are releasing themes/sub-themes....possibly every five years......the last pirate theme (excluding PoTC) was in 2009......so next year will be five years since the last. The sword looks really odd, no gold pieces or jewels - a very odd minifig pack indeed.....but at least the heads on some of them are different than previously.
-
Who ya gonna call ?.......'ER0L' ! AWESOME Ghostbuster station wagon, excellent detailing.....only missing the signs on the sides.......Brick On 'ER0L'.......because busting makes you feel good !

Well, she's getting what she wants.......public attention - oh, look at me hard done by......by a global empire.....oh, dear.......- give me a break, if she really wanted to fix the problem she should have got some legal advice before going public on Youtube.

Wonderful train station 'alois', I like the floor inside plus the use of that old yellow vehicle hinge piece for the ticket window. Brick On 'alois' !
-
Thanks for the kind words 'kermit' and 'paostmo', now there is no upstairs as such......empty space, the brick wall at the rear is to hide the ceiling and roof mounts/brackets. Any extra suggestions ?
-
Single axle car carrier.......WFT ? Look I'm a son of a truckie and that makes no sense......unless it's like a B-train type design and it's for only light vehicles ?
-
In Ben10, they were called The Forever Knights.
-
I went to that Facebook page and saw no pirate figure pack at all......do we have a set number to go by ?
-
Thanks for the feedback everyone, now I did say my printer ink was running out......it's meant to be tan with brown wording......but we got two tone pink.....but that was a colour in use in the last 19th century plus it's an old store so the signwritting might have faded. Double thanks to 'snaillad', like I wrote earlier it was his department store that inspired me to create this. I don't know if I can improve on what I have done so far......any suggestions will be considered.

Sweet looking ride 'oirad 72'.....Brick On Drive On !

He really does look a lot like old Mr Hooper. Now how's that for a set of scales eh ? Sorry, for the poor focus in the foreground but you can see the big ceiling fan that is above the counter from which Mr. Hooper rules his store from. I will edit my first post with a new image of the store's frontage with a sign saying 'Hooper's Hardware' shortly so........Keep watching !
-
Ah, no scales.....no room on the counter.....though outside an old sack scale might be possible and those light fixtures are thanks to...... I'm going to try and make that sign today.....keep watching !

True, but I'm talking of projects that have shot to 10K in a matter of days though fan-dom.....point in question Purdue Pete ! Many of those who support just one fan-dom project don't support any others.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
lightningtiger replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I noticed yesterday that 'GRogall' spent overtime removing links from people's posts, I feel it's best to toe Lego's line and not upset them. Perhaps it's better that if those with these images shared them by not posting them on forums or links to other photo sharing websites.....but by emailing them privately to those wishing to see them. Lego doesn't want the images public, and perhaps for this reason this time round.....those new blasters. Back in the late 1970's when SW toys started to grow rapidly in popularly there was release the Boba Fett action figure with firing missile but was canned for a non-firing missile action figure of Boba due to fact that it could take out a child's eye.....hence possible lawsuit - so it was dropped and is a very expensive item to find these days going for thousands of dollars. Lego might not release the BP's with these blaster firing tiny plates just in case some child is being silly with them. -
Well, that least the kid was cute saying something.....but seriously Lego is scared of just two people saying they won't buy any more Lego......they would go, big deal.....plenty morefish or kids in the sea ! Hopefully, Cuusoo is not heading down the wrong path......because we would hate to lose this valued way of getting fresh ideas flowing forth in the Lego world.

Great collection of merry men, very merry men in tights.....Yesss ! But where's Mel Brook's character in there eh ? Brick On in tights 'Southwest Chief' !
-
It's also thanks to fan-dom and social media that this might also be the problem, though it does bring Cuusoo into the public arena. More than once if not scoring supports, I at least scored a higher view count thanks to Facebook....though with my 27 projects I know in my heart I'll never see any of them reach 10K. But still I will continue with Cuusoo, maybe one day I'll look on a toy store shelf and see a city set that looks similar to one of my designs......then I'll think...gee, did I do something right to inspire someone else ?
-
Well, thanks for the feedback everyone.....I'm very grateful indeed. Now there are two reasons for no stickers, first I wanted to see what the feedback was like with a major build of mine being stickerless (some purists like no stickers on things). Secondly, I have run out of printer ink. I still might add a few final touches to the interior today too, I guess I should point out that this MOC is based in the same era as 'snaillad's department store and that Mr. Hooper is based on the Mr. Hooper from Sesame Street in the 1970's......my minifig looks just like him. Keep watching as I usually add at the end of posts because like I wrote.....a few more things are coming.....I hope. Edit - I have designed a sign go on the front.....even though my printer ink is very low, it might work to my advantage since it's an old hardware store.
