    You know if I did this one I've might have done better in the competition ! Now the sign on the roof......totally brick built or brick build a something with clips and use coloured tubing to look like neon tube lighting to spell the word 'GAS' ?

    Thanks for the feedback everyone......now the reason behind the black tiles is that the base of the building and pump are the collectable minifig mounting plates......plus I need some DBG 8x16 tiles.....so more tomorrow....keep watching !

    Thanks and that's the idea being tiny.....as in respect to the hardware store yes.....but back in the 1930's these art deco style structures sometimes didn't reach the same heights as mid to late 19th century timber and brick combo buildings. Now I have designed a "GAS" sign.....out of brick on LDD......that should be done tomorrow and also the interior too. Keep watching !

    Like I wrote in my latest hardware store topic I had started a side project.....a gas station and here is a progress shot.....will of course more to come so keep watching !

    Until further notice, I had a chat with Darren yesterday.......I'm off there in a moment to buy parts for my new 1940's gas station.

    The gas station is coming along nicely......I'm building it on only a 16 x 32 base plate.....hopefully I should have the walls up and I'll try to post pictures in a new topic.....keep watching !

    I do have a larger one http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85347&hl=landmark, but this is one for Cuusoo......it's one thing I've learnt about Cuusoo.....really big expensive designs are bypassed by the review teams once they hit 10K.

    Lego city designers could not be running out of great vehicle design ideas that the will rehash a 5 year old set eh ? Does it come with a push bike like the 2009 set did ?

    Suggestion.....Goggle Image search the topic.....they are there....all those watermarked images. So no need for links or anything like that.....just go look for them. Hopefully we can talk about the sets and not the reasons why and what for of Lego not wanting the general public seeing pictures of sets early. Though remember a few years back and the A-6 Jedi Shuttle.....they changed the minifigs around in the final set. Hence things might change again.....Lego doesn't want to let their fans down do they ?

    So it's a basic car carrier, but does it have the upper deck on either truck or trailer ?

    I've tried designing 'Hooper's' as a brick built sign........each letter was 5 stud wide.....it would span over 40 studs wide with gaps between the letters. So no brick built sign.....maybe if I do a gas station from the 1940's.......hmmm....there's an idea !

    Depending on when sets are being release determines also when catalogues are given to the dealers.....as far as I know in Oz no independent retailer has a catalogue yet so they are ordering by name of the set only and hoping for the best. Now about to the car carrier trailer......'andythenorth', that truck had a single rear axle.....the truck, not the trailer.......'p_d' said the trailer had a single axle on it...which again doesn't make sense. Perhaps Lego should talk to car and truck designers before putting their spin on things eh ?

    Thanks 'ER0L' and 'wedge09' for your kind words, now some people like the sign and others don't hence why I have both posted.....I like to keep as many people happy as possible. I would have to try in LDD first if I can brick build the name of the store or not.....might try tomorrow. The fan I thought up of after I installed the ceiling......not easy to fit the fan once the ceiling was in place.
