  1. Rebrickable.com already has many set "alternates" in its database. I did a search for " -2 " sets, and got this 6-page list.
  2. There is this picture showing the relative size of his MOC:
  3. @ Perthent: Mmmm, I answered this earlier today (but my post was deleted), so here it is again: Welcome to Eurobricks! You can download Lego Digital Designer (LDD) here. There is a Eurobricks Digital Designer Forum with this Section Index to help you get started with LDD.
  4. Isodomos posted these Lego 1093 Instructions that should be good enough to get the unit running. However, I searched all over the web for scans of the original instructions, and they are not there....
  5. Welcome to Eurobricks! Read this previous Eurobricks topic about the 1093 set.
  6. The 42004 Mini Backhoe Loader is a nice small set. According to this TechnicBRICKS article, "Each function or articulation is controlled from its own knob: Articulated steering (via HoG in the top of the cabin) Two articulations for the front loader Main arm via exhausting pipe and Shovel via side knob [*]Four articulations for the back tool Sideways movement, rotating the whole back tool in each direction Boom via rear knob Stick via side knob at the end of the boom The bucket uses LEGO hinges connector, thus it moves (rotates) manually" The B-Model is a telehandler:
  7. Wow, that's a nice Lego Technic Pneumatic Lanz Tractor! Your PDF Building Instructions are very well done. Thanks for sharing!
  8. If one considers the information and opportunities available to Technic FANS (as opposed to just the official sets), the "Golden Age" of Lego Technic is happening now, for these reasons (to name a few notable ones):
  9. @ Starfighter93: I like your MOC a lot, and loaded your images into this Flickr photoset. Flickr has the advantage over Brickshelf in that (1) Your images can be viewed immediately without having to wait for moderation, (2) You can control the size of the image to match Eurobricks' 800x600 maximum pixel size, and (3) You can provide a detailed description of the creation. The first 200 images you post on Flickr are free. I used the standard Microsoft Paint "crop" tool to trim the blank areas around some of your images. Thanks for sharing your MOC, and welcome to Eurobricks!
  10. I like your solution to the Tumbler's tricky front steering arm:
  11. @ Starfighter93: I copied/pasted those URLs above into the "Image" icon that you see midway across the "Reply" window. Your LDD .lxf file is hyperlinked using the "Link" button two icons to the left of that "Image" icon.
  12. @ Starfighter93: Only YOU can see the contents of your Brickshelf folder. You need to follow the Deeplink procedures here so that others can see your individual images. You need to copy/paste the URLs of each image you want to link to this topic, not just the URL for the Brickshelf folder....
  13. That's a very capable crawler, Max! I like those RC4WD Rok Lox 1.9 Comp Tires on the Lego 44772 wheels. Your cat is very relaxed during your testing of the prototype:
  14. @ Starfighter93: Nice MOC! All Eurobricks members are only allocated 150k of "Attachments". If you want to post more pictures, open a free Brickshelf account and then "Deeplink" those pictures into this topic. By "deeplinking", people can see your pictures immediately instead of waiting seveal days for the Brickshelf moderator to make them "public".
  15. Nice video and MOC. That minifig is holding on for dear life! I like the visible, working V10 engine too.
  16. Actually, if you look at the 42004's Parts List on Page 66 of the B-Model PDF Instructions, there is no yellow 1x6 thin Technic Liftarm in that set. The yellow Bricklink 32063 part remains a rare item:
  17. I'm holding my copy of Winning Design! Lego Mindstorms NXT. Although it is made for FIRST Lego League competitions, it does cover the basics well. It talks about NXT robot design and construction, much like Sariel's book does for Lego Technic. It does not contain NASA-type programming code, but many pictures and great explanations of robot design. You can find this book for sale at Amazon and other resellers. After you have mastered the basics of Lego Mindstorms, you could consider getting Philo's book, Extreme NXT.
  18. The Scooter Guy had captured the pictures of that Lego 42000 that was (briefly) offered on eBay. He posted them on his Flickr photostream. Here are comparison shots between the official TLG "renders" and the actual model that was on eBay:
  19. @ Tacker: Look here. In addition, Anika Vuurzoon used Lego Power Functions LED lights in her NXTified Unimog.
  20. Go to Sariel's website, and look at his Monorail Mk4 Police Transport.
  21. @ Good old Lego builder: You should read Sariel's "Scaling Tutorial for Vehicles", and make your own "studded" Unimog creation.
  22. @ Makorol: Welcome to Eurobricks! We had admired your work on your Lego Technic Caterpillar 963D Crawler Loader some time ago, in this previous topic.
  23. @ Sicil: When you built your original Rally Car "Blacked" MOC (with two Power Functions M-motors connected to a single terminal on the new v2 PF Receiver), did you happen to notice the phenomenon discussed in this TechnicBRICKS article by Conchas? He summarized: "The issue can be put shortly like this - When two or more Medium motors are connected to a single output of the V2 Receiver (no matter which one), they often make a squeaking sound instead of starting, and only start after some time, or if forced by hand. Even after they finally start and then stop, the problem occurs again."
  24. In this TechnicBRICKS article, Jetro de Chateau posted his review of Sariel's book, The Unofficial LEGO Technic Builders Guide.
