  1. Fantastic work! I'm most impressed that you managed to build a studded model an odd number of studs wide!
  2. Did this still come in a bag with a piece of card, or is this a cheaper solution for Lego?
  3. Fantastic! And steering all done with the servo, which a lot of people on here (many of whom I consider experts!) said was impossible. So that leaves XL for drive and an L motor for each bucket function? So where do we think the M motor will go? Also, I think that an L motor to tip the bucket is massive overkill..
  4. Perhaps this would be better here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=85899
  5. I was wondering if anyone has made a spring loaded trigger mechanism to attach to the train remote. I want the desired effect to be something like the Scalextric controls.
  6. If the rumours are true then the steering will be Servo controlled. How though, I don't know either..
  7. In the UK it is £2.00 regardless of the size of the order (seemingly).
  8. Thanks so much for this! I have just bought all of the Chrome elements and all of the Dark Blue elements (except for three 15L beams...) from the 41999 for less than £20!! I'm in exactly the same boat. There used to be one in the Bullring when it first opened, but has since been turned into the Bear Factory
  9. Have you considered this smaller scale dumptruck by Madoca? (I find more and more of his indredible models each week!)
  10. Yeah I have looked for 50301 without any joy. I must admit I'm very surprised it isn't available.
  11. Hi Everyone, I'm looking for the following piece and (think) I've looked everywhere.. It's listed on bricklink as a complete assembly of two separate pieces, but I can't find these either. Help would be very much appreciated
  12. Power Miners for all those Lime liftarms! I could finally build a Monster sponsored Dakar truck after years of wanting to!
  13. I was just about to say that most of that sounded like a copy-paste job. That said, it would explain why sets that contain PF and winches (unimog, recovery truck) might bear a Made in China mark?
  14. Speaking of design, has anyone really justified the decision to switch the 1/4 cylinder panel to the new style? To me, Technic panels are simply there for aesthetics, to fill the voids and the chassis-esque designs of the old days and cover the mechanisms. So why the need to compromise this for the sake of connectability? The new panel reduces the smoothness and increases the gaps in a model that a panel was supposed to eliminate in the first place! And as if to add insult to injury, the new connections are necessary. I managed to build the entire 41999 using the old-style panels. Yes the instructions required the connections, but it was incredibly easy to connect the old panels by moving around a few pieces without compromising the looks or functions (in other words, it was unnoticeable) Please tell me I'm missing something here..
  15. That buggy really is a beauty! Still need to get myself some of the newer wheel hubs though, and I don't much fancy the 42000. Can anyone suggest any good substitutes? Do you think it's possible to use the ones from the 8297 like Madoca has used for steering?
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks Madoca. I think it's fair to say you will be very made very welcome here, your AWD SUV already gained you God-like status, and now this! I look forward to seeing (and spending money to buy the pieces to build) your next creations
  17. The Power Puller is one of the worst sets in my opinion. The model itself is ugly and the colourscheming is garish and horrible. It might be realistic, but the motorsport theme its based off is niche and unknown to most of the world. Strange choice for TLG. Also, besides pushing it in a straight line and watch the pistons move, the playability is nill. The only positive is you can pay a few months rent each time you sell a wheel Again, a niche motorsport that has few followers in comparison to F1 and NASCAR. Personally, the B model is awesome though and with some L motors, a servo and RC, it can be modified into a fantastic little stock car. I think TLG got the A and B models mixed up here
  18. I'm completely baffled by the whole concept and TLG's marketing strategy - and I run my own business. Just taken a quick look around - 100 bags of these sets of 47 crap random pieces - $485?? I've been a builder many years and I'd struggle to create something with those 47 pieces, so how can I expect my novice-builder employees to do anything other than laugh at the whole exercise?
  19. Finally! Are you able to customize which functions sit where on the display. Only because it looked a little tricky crossing over to operate the 9398.
  20. I'm curious too. And had anybody spotted the elusive 5 axle with stop in the wild yet?
  21. This similar topic was moved to Lego General Discussion not so long ago. I suggest this one follows suit.
  22. Is this what you're referring to? If so, they are found in these sets.
  23. I love the Le Mans car! Not understanding the hate.. That would be everyone here then.
