  1. Hello papacharly! Welcome to eurobricks!
  2. Has anything came up for the Destroyers set yet? I am very much looking forward to that set, and to see if it has an official name too!!
  3. Haha, my bad, I just saw the pic again I originally only saw the top part which appeared to be a short black tube, thanks for the correction, I'll be sure to look closer next time.
  4. So apparently its not a cigar... I'll still use it as a cigar since it is the closest we'll ever get to one. And now I think all the anticipation is for December. With the leaked prototype pictures, we basically already knew what the man-bat set would look like, and we already got all the leaked minifigures for that set. And the penguin set already had a picture or two. But the steam-roller is the only one of the 4 to not get any real pictures, batgirl is not finished in the image, and we are unsure if that robin is Damian Wayne or not. Also the steamroller itself seems to not be finished either, so that's the one sets I really wanted to see, glad they waited on that one though, it was the most anticipated for me. But in December we get the summer retailers catalogue is out, and then we'll see if DC gets another wave or not. Hoefully no more batman, and if we're lucky, we may even get another member of the league.
  5. Actually now that I look closer, the control device penguin has is not in his hands, and indeed, he has a short black tube-like thing in his hand. I think it may just be a cigar. If anything I'll quote the picture and point it out later, but I'll wait and see if I'm allowed to, I've read a couple of times that quoting pictures is a big no-no. And I agree with Darth Vader, we as adults do not contribute largely enough for TLG to make sets that will end up costing them money, on us. However I am still dissapointed with the sets, 2012 was basically a "make-up" year for lego, they had to remake sets from the old Batman line that year. And this year TLG had sets for Mos and TDKR to make, along with more characters and setting to remake. And if the theme lasts into 2015, Lego will be making sets off of the batman vs. Superman movie. So 2014 was, in a way, the only year lego and DC could have elaborated on more characters, yet they still made batman sets. That wouldn't be SO dissapointing had we gotten characters like Rha's Al Ghul, Talia Al Ghul, or even another Two Face (I would even take another Poison Ivy), but no, they had to give us Man-bat, who we basically already had, another riddler, and another joker. What makes it even worse, is that we get yet another Batmobile, Batcopter, and dragster. Except this time the dragster was given to the riddler, which doesn't help its case. But the one thing I don't understand, is why the marvel fans are complaining. Lego and DC are rinsing and repeating this entire line (it will at one point become as predictable as city) while marvel got 9 heroes o its 1st year, 2 more on its second, and my personal favorite: villains for different heroes. We got spiderman villains, Iron Man villains, Thor/Avengers villain, and X-Men villains. I can't say the same about DC, it's all Batman and superman, and even then Superman only got 5 villains, 3 of which were based on a movie, and 1 was an SDCC exclusive, which means we basically only got 1 comic superman villain. Pardon me for saying this, but I think this whole theme was just a giant middle finger to the public. I wouldn't be so mad however, if it weren't for the name of the theme. Don't call it DC superheros, that's misleading. Call it "Lego Batman and friends" and maybe the public won't be so suprised and dissapointed when all they see is batman. There is a plus side though, the lego movie stuff seems to be doing so well, I may just spend my money on that and save money on this theme, if anything. Now that I think about it though, there may always be a retail exclusive in January, or a second wave in the summer, but even then I'm 99.9% sure it'll be batman related. The other 1% goes for superman.
  6. Let's hope, I really do love this theme. I just hope they don't give it a TV show, I feel like the interest may be lost if they did that. I'm also pleasantly surprised at how many sets we got to see. 3 sets and a collectable minifigures series? Not to mention how good they all look.
  7. Yeah but, it just seems like she has that kind of dark side to her.
  8. I think she will be probably be one of those "I was evil all along" type of deals. Really, she is just wierd. And she is said to have a dark secret, and shooting a show with president business along as laughing while Emmet is being chased, isn't helping her case.
  9. Woah, is Uni-Kitty evil? In the palace, she is sitting laughing while Emmet is being chased by the evil robot. And now in Lord Bussiness's hideout, she is sitting on the couch laughing while the cops are getting frozen and Vitrivius and Lord Business are fighting! And the Luchador is getting glued by kragle, seriously if she were good and posed a threat, so would she. Also this: He was pretending the invisible jet got a set made, just read the comments above
  10. Hello there Dr3!! From the looks of it, you are collecting technic, but if you want suggestions for other themes, the collectable minifigure series is a great one for cheap and yet fun collecting. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  11. I really do love this series. I've been able to match up some of the names with the figures, but I still haven't been able to figure out some of them. Can someone please tell me who is who? I of course got to know Emmet, Gail, Wildstyle, Panda suit and all the others. But the robots are confusing me... Oh! And do we have 6 females this series? I'm very sure 2 of the 3 robots are female. So excited, the cop is the only one I might not get, and that is of course, because he is too generic for a CMF series, split personalities isn't enough for $3 right? We'll see.
  12. So just2good, what was the color scheme for Hulks lab? I bet right about now these questions are bugging you, so lets just hope you're patient
  13. Well first question is, where did you even get to see the pictures? I mean, really how did you get ahold of it? And when do we usually get hi-res images
  14. Hey guys, I noticed we haven't had a thread for this, and I was just wondering: do you prefer DC or Marvel? And does this affect the sets you buy in the superheroes theme (if you collect from that theme, that is). I personally love DC and wish the sets could gear more towards the justice league, or the teen titans rather than just batman. However Marvel has its place in my collection as well, what about you guys? Do you prefer DC/Marvel, but still buy from the opposite theme, or restrain yourself to your preferances?
  15. Yeah, but I don't want to go off topic, nice sets though
  16. Well if he has a white cape, I think it just might be taskmaster. Darn, I actually really liked the idea of a lego Arnim Zola. And do we know yet how many X-Men sets we'll be getting? And why wait till March for Marvel? If the first 3 sets are based on Ultimate Spiderman, than what's holding lego up with the release? And is DC getting any more sets for the year? It'd be a shame to go another year with only the bat family and a random member of the league in a set. At this point, we may have half of the hero's marvel has by the end of the license. So any word on late DC/X-Men sets?
  17. Wow, after thinking about it, this is the first time Lego can't do anything to dissapointment me with the minifigure selection of a set! Then again, this is my first year keeping up with Lego and all of its wonders.
  18. Everyone is seeming to think the orange/purple guy will be taskmaster, but to be honest, the second I read just that, an orange/purple guy... I thought it was arnim zola. Maybe the robe is a stand in for his newly molded head?
  19. Hehe yeah, they did do something right, but after a couple quick searches the theme is actually way better than I had expected, just my biased mouth voicing itself.
  20. Woohoo 100th post! Wow, I thought I'd be picking up NO DC sets at all. I guess I should have bit my tongue! The Man-Bat is alright (of course, these are preliminary) I was hoping they would give him a ripped labcoat with an alternate head showing him as a scientist. I don't think I love that steamroller (or even like it!) but I don't like going to second-hand sources (bricklink, ebay, amazon, etc) for figs, so $50 it is. Rather interesting that Spiderman variant. I was 99.9% certain they wouldn't re-use the 2012 Ock, thank you Lego, for that. Green Goblin set is meh, but with MJ, Powerman, and some sort of GG, it's passable. Of course these are all prelim- but I'm loving them already! Now if only they gave us a green arrow...
  21. Hello, I had a similar question about that a couple months back, I'm sure a moderator will merge your thread with the same one my thread was merged too, and you'll get all your answers there. But by messaging an admin or a mod (I think it's and admin you'll have to talk to) you can have your screen name changed, however there might be more to it, that's what happened to me.
  22. Agreed ^ This Thor movie seems to be the best movie marvel has given out of 2013 (I haven't seen it yet, but it looks so promising) and the fact that Lego has made such small sets for this entire theme, Thor seemed like one of the only themes that could either pull off small sets, or bring in very large ones. I would buy every Thor set hands down if Lego made them, but they didn't so... Also the minifig designs in the poster to me were more insulting than they were teasing. Of course Lego is making sets for children, and children seem to love the same 10 characters. The MODOK set only really sounds nice because I don't think anyone would have predicted a MODOK FIG, and he has an extremely cool design. As for the entire theme, it's nice, but could be WAY better. Seriously Lego, I'd rather have every single comic-book character once than see the same 10 over and over again. At least the penguin set looked great, I didn't think I would want it, but it's even looking better than the 2012 Catwoman set (which I loved). We also about a week or 8 days until October ends, do you guys think we'll see pics? I'm thinking the third minifig in the man-bat set will be Vicky Vale, and that "Robin" in the steamroller is really Nightwing, and GL will be included in some Lego movie sets or a retail exclusive during the summer. I only say this because Vicky Vale is the only character in Lego Batman DC superheroes who appeared in 80% of the cut-scenes and didn't get a fig. Lex, Joker, Batman, and Superman all got figs, I'm so sure Vicky will too.
  23. Woah, this totally caught me off guard, really I can't think of it being anything other than the rumored UCS slave 1 (however I don't think that would be really "big", or a jedi temple or hopefully a new death star! By the way, how exactly does one talk to a lego designer? When reading on the parisian restaurant thread, I noticed that many eurobrickers know lego designers by their first name. How do you talk to them, do they have their own little website or such? Or are you close friends with a designer?
  24. Hello, I usually don't comment on this thread but was excited when I read something about hero factory including minifigs next year. This breeze girl, is she a leaked minifgure/buildable figure? Or is she from some Hero Factory movie/T.V short/online comic? I used to LOVE Bionicle and when it ended, I hated Hero Factory for taking it's place. But with new of minifigures and a large set, I think I may just have to "move along" and start following this new theme, haha. This theme is looking very promising to me. Also, if "Breeze" is a character from some sort of online short, can someone post the link to the short from it's beginning in 2010? I want to catch up (if there is any catching up to do).
  25. Odd... but thanks anyways.
