  1. Hi guys, not so much a custom but I received my first order from Brickwarriors today and am very impressed with the quality, sure makes the Laketown Guards look a bit more intimidating Was also pleasantly surprised to receive a couple of freebies, I'm now officially converted to the "dark side". laketown guards by slobey79, on Flickr
  2. Looks great so far!! Love the interior and the rock work integrated into the ground floor. Look forward to seeing the finished product!
  3. I realise that. the point of my post was to highlight TLM and Disney Princess sets being in store.................
  4. I picked up DGB today and was possibly the worst packaged set I've had.... No packaging around the instruction books so they were a crumpled mess and some of the stickers had come away from the sheet and adhered to the part bags. I was able to salvage them but still wasn't impressed when I opened the box.......
  5. Don't know if it's benn mentioned but Myer in Perth CBD has pretty much all of TLM sets with 20% off all Lego. There were also all the Disney princess sets and more than a few Opera Houses
  6. Don't know if this is across the board at Big W but the one in Kwinana WA has LOTR black gate for $58 and council of Elrond for $38. It seems to be an everyday price. Other lines may be cheaper but I didn't look. I was pretty happy getting the black gate for $40 off RRP :-)
  7. Looks like "good morning Bilbo" will be the pre order bonus for the video game.............. https://ebgames.com.au/xbox360-164938-LEGO-The-Hobbit-Xbox-360
  8. I have doubles of all my Hobbit and LoTR sets. My son is 2 1/2 so if he is into Lego when he is older they are for him. Otherwise I'll have a fresh box if I ever want to build Orthanc, Bag end or Helms Deep again with out having to find pieces among my collection...............
  9. New Hobbit sets available on S@H......
  10. Any sign of the new Hobbit sets? they seem to be springing up elsewhere in the world and Aus usually gets them earlyish
  11. Safe to assume then that Australian prices will be as follows:$29.99 DGA $49.99 MEA $99.99 LC $119.99 DGB *sigh*
  12. I think a large brick built Smaug would be a win for the Lego group. It would appeal to Hobbit fans as well as the casual Lego buyer (I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to build a giant Lego dragon?!) I would be disappointed if they gave us a "Hungarian Horntail" version of Smaug.
  13. Time to stop digging mate.... It's one thing to tell a white lie, it's a whole other thing to put someones job at risk
  14. It's all about perspective.... We're complaining because the Aussie dollar has been so strong up until recently compared to the greenback but with the Aussie dollar dropping prices become more comparable. We CAN'T have it both ways. I bet no one was saying we should pay more for Lego 4 years ago when our dollar was worth 60 US cents. Not to mention the average wage we receive in Australia compared to the USA.....
  15. I agree I think it will be much the same as last years Bilbo "exclusive" There's no way Lego would not have a main character like this in a widely available set. Mind you if you really want it you can mortgage the house http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SDCC-2013-ULTRA-RARE-Sealed-LEGO-Minifigure-HOBBIT-in-hand-AZOG-Exclusive-/321168263589?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item4ac71ec9a5
  16. Thanks for the info! Picked up another of the Goblin King to stash away for my son. $75 dollars off always makes you smile It's not marked as such though.....it was on the shelf with the usual 20% off sign.
  17. Standard shipping, other sets I've ordered from them in the past have come in a box but they couldn't get it right- everytime it was a pancaked package
  18. I'll never order from them again.... My Hobbit Barrel Escape arrived wrapped only in brown paper and squashed beyond recognition. After lodging a complaint and sending it back it happened 2 more times (over the space of about 5 weeks). I ended up insisting on a refund.
  19. My girls (8 and 6) love the sets. They had the Hobbit read to them when they were younger and have watched this more times than I care to recall. So they can relate to all the characters and are probably more excited about a Lego version of Smaug than I am
  20. Unfortunately under the Australian justice system if they are juveniles and get caught, they'll only get a slap on the wrist and told in a stern voice not to do it again....
  21. My Tower of Orthanc is still on backorder What's the point of ordering it early as a VIP if it gets shipped after the 1st July anyway.........
  22. I don't know where you live in Perth but Big W Kwinana had a whole heap of them when I was there yesterday..........
  23. Picked up a couple of LOTR sets today, thanks for the heads up! Seems to be the only place in Perth stocking them yet............
  24. Managed to find the new sets at one of my local department stores, so I bought the two smaller ones for the moment. The council of Elrond is outstanding!! The new arch pieces and the Elrond/Arwen/Saruman minifigs are fantastic!!
  25. Baaa... Looks like the WBShop.com loophole has been closed by LEGO. No longer shipping Lego outside the US
