If this website is to be believed the sets will be roughly equivelent size/parts/minifigs to these LOTR sets Bag end = Mines of Moria Mystery of the ring = Gandalf Arrives Attack of the Wargs = Attack on Weathertop Fleeing from the Mirkwood spiders = Slightly bigger than Shelob Attacks Cave of Orc King = Half way between Mines of Moria and Helms deep Just a bit of perspective.................

I don't know what it's like in the rest of the world but they seem to be flying off the shelves in Australia. A lot of places are running out of the bigger sets pretty quickly.

Just ordered helms deep from MYER online at 20% off plus free shipping beats paying the full quid thats for sure!

To all the Australian LOTR Lego fans, It seems Big W is stocking the Orc Forge -as well as the other sets- on its shelves, seen it at two stores so far. I don't think the Aussie Target and US Target are related, so Big W must have got the exclusive.

I dunno, the weren't charging us double for LEGO when the aussie dollar was half the American dollar 10 years ago. It's all swings and roundabouts as they say.

Sets have arrived at Toys R us here in Perth (and selling out quick). Managed to pick up the moria and Urakai attack sets for the same price as listed on S@H. I'd say if Perth has them most of oz would have them by now.

Cool, I might have to have a hunt around, it might take them a little while longer to get over to WA though. cheers.

Just got back from the show with my kids and enjoyed it a lot! Highlights were the LNG tanker and the mine site Highlight for my girls was Rupunzels tower. Hope you finished the bridge, there still seemed to be quite a way to go this morning.

Winning bid + postage = $5 Australian (which is maybe 2 US cents :-D ) Auction finished at an odd time I think that helped my cause. Ebay isn't usually a happy hunting ground for yours truely.

Just picked up this baby off ebay ( for less than original price *y* ) It is a great little set and the crusader has been welcomed with open arms by the others I already have. :'-) Reunions are so beautiful *sniff*

It's NOT a re-release. It is simply a castle inspired by King Leo's (and much better IMO) and Royal Knights Castle. Bricklink has plenty of classic castle sets for sale, give me a new design any day- even if it does have it's flaws. *knight*

Yes but note the gate behind in both shots and the anvil in the foreground of the 'torture' shot. Unless they just flipped one of the shots? Can't wait to have a good look at this set

It does seem to have a lot of random 'strange bits' that lego would usually trim from thier sets. The torture chamber and the furnace/anvil seem to be located in exactly the same spot too. I wonder if it is an alternate or if they havn't decided on the final layout?

This castle is great IMO, it is obviously LEGO's attempt at appeasing the Classic Castle fans. It has a good minifig count, not many <insert that tiresome argument> peices and a lot of random specialty bits (wagon wheels and I think that 'dog' could be a PONY?!) Obviously this offering from Lego won't please all CC fans- sometimes it seems only a castle made entirely of 2x1 bricks would - I think this is a BIG step in the right direction. I would much prefer new sets in the older style to straight remakes of old sets. One happy camper *sweet* Sorry not a pony (just had a closer look) it does look like a brown dog.

Just giving everyone who's interested the heads-up. Lego S@H has the 8781-Castle of Morcia at half price as well as some other KK2 sets. As far as I know it's only the Europe/Australia branch, it doesn't seem to be availiable in North America S@H anymore.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I picked up a dusty copy of Forbidden Island and Buried Treasure. They were in an toy store that obviously doesn't replace stock as I also picked up a few old Harry Potter and small Knights Kingdom 1 sets. The pirate sets were about 30% above what the list price should have been but it was worth it considering they've been sitting on the shelf for almost 15 years

Hi I recognise you from CC. I don't really like this set, or this faction even- the heraldry seems too cartoonish. As you said the concept was there they just didn't quite pull it off, you'd think a kings carriage would be a bit more closed in to prevent any bandit or assassin arrows bringing his reign to an end. The colours are a bit too much too. Ps. I enjoy you're reviews, particularly the stuff from the minifigs point of view. Look forward to laughing at more in the future X-D

Thank you admins *y* I usually try to look in at CC every day ( being mainly a castle lego fan) but I for one will keep coming back here too. Most other forums would have kicked us out for even mentioning another forum. Good to see a lot of Classic Castlers (is that a word?) in here too :-)

Hi another CC refugee (starts to play the broken record) who has lurked this site on and off for a while. You guys must be stoked with the membership boom *sweet*. I'm a big fan of Castle inspired lego, but I take great interest in Moc's of all decriptions. I already see some familiar faces here and now I'm a member I'll be sure to stick around after CC is back up and running. And a big thanks to this forum for offering a 'port in a storm' to us AFOL's from other sites *y*
