  1. It seems that your forces did not bother to sail to the other side of the island, where three mighty Mardier Towns await them. Settled over three years ago, and burgeoning with trade and a royal fortress, La Isla de Media will not be conquered by mere squatters. Skaford heights by skaforhire, on Flickr

  3. To the citizens of the Brick Seas. If the maroons of Eslandola do not remove themselves from La Isla de Medio by October 14th, 616, the King of Mardier will issue a letter of marque to all willing participants. The letter states that the captain may attack Eslandola’s vessels of all nature in the name of Mardier. This will be considered a lawful prize to all courts in all nations, as Mardier and Eslandola shall then be at war. Along with this letter of marque, the king offers a generous reward for every Eslandolan vessel taken or sunk in the conflict. Captains may keep the vessel, with a clear title for 15% of the value of the treasure on board. Any Eslandolan Warship taken or destroyed will also merit the victor 100 gold doubloons. We encourage Eslandola to rethink their discretions and avoid this fruitless war. Sincerely Count Adwin Encarnacion Minister of the Colonies of Mardier We were surprised that you could settle a village so close to a major city. This must prove that Eslandolans are blind! 7. Due to recent misguidances about geography and the power of the Great Old Empire, the Empire of Mardier. This thread is for the colony of La Isla de Medio, known by the name of Skaford Heights or Island 11. It has come to note that this colony is much older than many of the colonies in the Sea of Prio area. Like King’s island, it was founded roughly three years ago. It boasts three large settlements one with a royal fortress, (La Puebloto). It has a robust citrus export trade, and the Bay of Good Hope has been considered a safe harbor for Mardieran traders for years now. The native peoples have been pacified and have begun to be assimilated into the Mardieran work force. The island is well travelled and documented, and considered an important part of the Crown’s defense plans for the Prio Sea region. Recently, a group of maroons have taken a small bay in the cliffs of the south end of the island. Supposedly they are supported by the Crown of Eslandola. The full force of the Mardier Navy will be brought to bear upon these illegal squatters, if they do not immediately remove themselves from our island. Below is the map of Mardier’s PRIME colony in the Sea of Prio region. Graciously mapped in the common tongue by the Cartographers Guild of Corrington. Skaford heights by skaforhire, on Flickr Settlement on this island is closed to all but authorized citizens. Foreigners must have a Mardier sponsor. The great city of La Puebloto stands as a bastion of the King’s might in a troubling time. Gods Save the King! Gods bless Mardier! Gods protect La Isla de Medio! To the citizens of the Brick Seas. 8. Perhaps a lesson in history would do you well, sir -- There were many wars between Mardier and Eslandola from the time of the revolution to the present. The recent violations were made by both sides of the Mardier Civil War, which has nearly come to a close now. You should fear the wrath of the Great Old Empire, for her fleets can be turned on the weak Eslandolan fleet now. The Eslandolans have attacked a settlement that is fully settled by claiming a meager bay on the south side of the island? What happens when the Mardierians decide to take Nelisa? Stop your rabble rousing in Olean and prepare you own house for the reckoning to come. -Sid Vicinte, Mardier trader.
  9. because there would not be that much variation. Most ships were very similar in speed during the Age of Sail. So everyone would be just traveling 3 zones and that's it! The original use of the speed was also somewhat referring to the ability of the ship to make port, sell quickly, and move on. it was a mixed ability. That is changing. I am actually writing that rule as we speak for the MRCA II
  10. Volcanic Glass (or he can do stone quarry as it came up on the dice. Same value, cooler story!)
  11. Silver Quicksilver / mercury What Island was this? That impacts the role. I am pretty positive I already rolled for this one, and posted in this thread, but just in case : Iron
  12. All ships are on that list that I had data for. Either there is missing data, or they were not submitted correctly. Kwatchi, pirates will have something to do in MRCA 2. I am guessing that September will be our last MRCA 1. The system will be broke up into adventures and safe trades.
  13. I will double check, but that was ALL of the ships that were submitted to the form. The list on my flickr is wrong for name of owner, but all information aligned with the proper ship name is correct.
  14. If you are going to "peek" at the results know that the name of owner is wrong on the chart, go by the ship name and you will find your totals.
  15. Well, we will just claim all of the Wither Woods and make good with that. Muhahaha. And since Beery is no longer here to invade us, I see no objections. lol.
  16. A big problem here is that the four main maps don't line up correctly. the shape of the Avalonian / Kaliphlin border has always been a debate. You could say the same for Nocturnus / Kaliphlin, but those two sides don't really care so much!!! This would be a very hefty project indeed! It seems like Ulandus may be a bit small here.
  17. One word: Scarst. Hit me up with a messege where to send the results, I will tell you how to read them, and you can be our first guest writer. I am sorry guys I just can't believe my summer exploded with work.
  18. we can just go with this.... lolI am almost done with these end of program exams for one of my degrees (chalk up another masters degree for me, hopefully! still chugging away at the phd though) I should be back in semi-full form this weekend. Sorry for the delay, I thought we would get the results out before this week of exams started but I was wrong.
  19. As some of you may have figured, there will be no update for prio this week... this is due to a busy schedule. I am currently finishing end of program exams for one of my degrees, but I should be returning to semi-full form this weekend. So Prio will be delayed a week. the MRCA is in partial completed status, and will be announced at the end of the weekend.
  20. Garvey wears purple, Mardier wears Yellow and Orange. We can change Altonia around to be more Dutch. I don't see a huge problem with that. They could also wear orange, they were once part of Mardier, so keeping similar colors would be fine. Maybe their colors are green and orange. I do have a flag for them somewhere, I can change up the colors. Namere wears grey, and their colors are grey and purple, with a wolf emblem. Carno's color is red... I have to find the original file to let you know about the other ones. A little more on politics of the smaller nations near Mardier: Namere, once part of Mardier, are the easternmost people on the continent. They are avid seafarers, but mostly travel west. They control the gateway to the north coast of Halos, and have a pretty strong local navy. They are currently involved in open support for the rebels in the Mardier Civil War, and have been issuing letters of mark. The rebels opinion is that any of the major nations that still trade with Mardier (all of them) are supporting the "False King" in power currently. So a Namere privateer would have permission from Mardier rebel command to plunder any ships of another country not currently backing the rebels (Namere, Carno, Garvey, Altonia).
  21. I thought I posted a turn 1 date -- but I guess I did not. Please send me your commands for turn 1 no later than Saturday anywhere in the world.
  22. I don't have the final report, but Alfa did take lesser vessels, so there are some prizes in that squadron as well.
