Hero Factory: robots built by/for robots?
CabooseBM replied to badbob001's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I just kinda figured from the surrounding fiction like the web content and advertisements that the organic folks were all conveniently off-screen due to budget constraints. -
Why hello there Lehvak Kal sheild, haven't seen you in a while.
-
Whoa there friend! Chillax and enjoy some extremely relevant music.

Nonhumanoid mechs are the best, man. =P

On one hand, I have plenty of black 3M shells and I don't really need more, so I'd like these Tr. Brown 3M shells more, on the other hand, I still have not found a use for Waspix's big tr. yellow shells.

Is LEGO playing it OVER CAUTIOUS with Hero Factory?
CabooseBM replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
While I understand Hero Factory doesn't really have the numbers to support a robust media push, I do feel LEGO is doing a poor job of giving even the minimal amount of media support, the website only barely functions and various media is hard to access or poorly advertised. I don't even want a big media push at this point, I just want what we have better organized. -
Hero Factory Moc Week. Nebula Gang 2.0
CabooseBM replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
How you did XPlode's and Rotor's shin armor is pretty inspired, will have to try that out for myself. -
Well, what's good for the goose is good for the gander... For better or for worse I've posted the revisions.

I tried what you suggested Dorek, and I gotta agree more purple looks great on her, but the hero core is kinda hidden under her head, and she's already got one on her back anyway. A shame I already entered her, because I'm much happier with these revisions. But alas!

The thing it's "munching on" is supposed to be a lolling tongue. Far be it for me to not inject a little whimsy into my horrible death machines named after transforming robots. =P

Snapdragons are notoriously cute critters -Well, okay, I think they're cute- that live in the same volcanic region the Pyre Oxes resided. They're named as such due to their only defense, they snap their jaws together, spraying sparks at whatever happens to provoke them. They're a bit jumpy, admittedly. Well, really jumpy. Don't look at them funny. Of course, with the recent Brain Slug Invasion, their jumpiness has ceased to be a concern. Because we're more concerned about the extra head, extra-extra-large size, and extra-extra-extra-potent fire breath. Sinnertwin is not a beast to be trifled with. It thinks trifle is tasty. Good appetizer for Hero Armor. Good luck, Hero, you're going to really need it this time.

Bonnie Crusher has always been an upstanding, hard-working and courageous Hero. That said, she hates everything. And I mean everything. She maintains a list. It's pretty nuts, my friend. Which is why her recent encounter with The Brain Slugs concerns us. You can see why. We've put together a brief profile of her, so you should be able to handle the situation just fine. Or not.

Can I get like, ten more minutes to take photos please? I had to work late and only just got home.

I wonder why that is? Maybe because it's made of rubber? I know my Piraka Teeth and Gadunka head and whatnot still glow if I leave them out.

I'd like a small assortment of new feet and hands, personally. Maybe some sort of new multi-part torso to shake things up a bit.

So how come Hero Factory doesn't rate a proper TV show?
CabooseBM replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Glad I'm not the only one, whenever toyline movies come up at least half the thread ends up as people going off their nut about how much a crime against humanity the Transformers movies are. Ignoring all the good it did for Transformers as a franchise and all the nice things it got for the fans. -
I'd like to see a combining themed wave, now that we're talking about it. I know combined sets have been a thing since HF's inception, but a wave and story focusing specifically on the idea could be really cool.

A shame, I'd love to see a Calender Man homage villain in all it's ridiculous glory.

Wild West Dinosaur Hunters Dragon Warriors Roboriders Homage Throwbots Homage (With at least one "Evolutionary Throwback" pun as a tagline.) Ninja and Samurai (Ninjago Crossover? =P) Transforming Heroes and Villains And so on and so forth.

They're LEGO sets, building is the entire point.

Hero Factory Series 1 - To Collect or Not
CabooseBM replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I thought they were really nice looking figures, but they fall short in functionality. I would suggest tracking down Furno, Surge's, and Breez's weapons and helmets if you haven't already, The chest pieces are nice looking but aren't very versatile, but the arm/leg pieces make for dandy lower arms/legs when you want something more unique. -
The De-Evolution of Lego Action Figure Packaging

I'd still like to see someone make a Ganmen-esque MOC incorporating the Mask of Life lid as a big mask or something. -
The De-Evolution of Lego Action Figure Packaging
CabooseBM replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, I really love the new packaging, the old canisters really just took up space and made me feel bad when I threw them out. Another thing I really like in the recent packaging trends was the move from individually colored cans to wave-wide colors, made it a whole lot easier to check and see if there's new product on the shelves or not. Though I'd like to point out that this is completely wrong? -

You can do some pretty decent things with Hero Factory's story just using the seeds planted through out the different story years. You don't have to have the thick layers of overgrown canon-vines like Bionicle did. I think the main reason LEGO isn't interested in doing a Hero Factory cartoon is because they're not interested in the entertainment business, any story is a vehicle to sell sets. Which isn't even a bad thing, really.
