  1. It's a different green from Zaktan's sand green color, more of an olive-y shade as opposed to Zaktan's kinda bluish-grey green.
  2. Personally I'd rather they'd just flat out go with solid colors, since they can't make pointy weapons using the much less pliable transparent plastic. The current washed out colors are pretty lame.
  3. I personally have not experienced this phenomena, and I do a heavy amount of MOCing.
  4. Not that that's a bad impression or anything...
  5. Given that the previous use of the mold on Rocka has the same weird not-transparence going on, I dunno what you were really expecting. I must lament the change from gold thighs to gunmetal thighs though, could have used the new part color. At least Worriz has those sweet dark red shells. Ultimately these are nothing more than parts packs to me, but I'll be picking all of them up eventually.
  6. The point is that good writing transcends age boundaries and one shouldn't use the target audience as an excuse for poor writing.
  7. Good writing is good writing, it doesn't matter who it's aimed at. That's why Rescue Bots and My Little Pony are enjoyable and Family Guy and the Cleveland Show are not. Unfortunately, Hero Factory does not have good writing.
  8. Even if it's for kids, it really shouldn't talk down to them. Truly good cartoons don't do that.
  9. It does say the dragon was "contained", maybe it was moved onto Makuhero Planet as part of the containment? =V
  10. I like to think Dragon Bolt is the same dragon as the one from this mission log:
  11. Space Cowboys!
  12. I would like more feet options, myself.
  13. Indeed, the worst news of the week this side of Fighting is Magic getting shut down.
  14. I'm disappointed the new legs don't have gold "wide" shells, really.
  15. Ew, no. Not because of the color, I'd love some pink or violet, but the popular insinuation of sticking a female hero with a "girly" color scheme hurts me in the not-being-sexist-organs. Besides, pink would work much better as an accent color ala Late-Generation-1 Decepticons. EDIT: Just realized how long ago this post was made. The "Go to New Post" button must have gone wacky.
  16. Frankly, I was always only interested in these as parts packs. Never really looked that good, and the new versions just mean less of the new parts I wanted, which is a shame. Also the new blades continue to disappoint, being this ugly not-transparent color. I mean, I'm sure they would have been too sharp or something like that if they were proper transparent plastic, but alas. Well, okay, Cragger is still pretty cool, all told. I'm actually a bit disappointed that his forearms aren't lime green, if only because it makes them somewhat impossible to replace with shorter bones and still look good.
  17. Venting and/or cooling systems, probably not made for extensive use underwater. Or at least, that's how I'd rationalize it.
  18. Man, that sure is a tiny pic to judge the entire line and all of its faults with.
  19. No they didn't, there's a superficial resemblance but nothing is a direct copy of the bone-and-shell build system.
  20. As a staunch Hero Factory fan as well as a Transformers fan, I don't know quite how to feel about these yet. The alt-modes are about what I'd expect from a constraction figure line. I'll get Starscream since he's inexpensive and also wears his yoga-robot-vehicle mode the best. What'll make or break this toyline is joint strength and part quality.
  21. Pretty darn happy about Gorzan being built like the Hulk, this bodes well for my Pyrox revamp.
  22. Can I just say that I agree with you guys like super hard? Sometimes I forget I'm not the only one who thinks this way about Hero Factory figures.
  23. Man, whatcha got against Bruizer's shank? You better watch what you say or he'll cut you! Seriously though I thought that was kinda clever for a tiny knife-dagger-thing. Seriously though I really liked this set, sure the gimmick arm was kinda dumb but it was fun for the short time I kept it on him. Refreshing to see some function return to the sets. BAM BAM! Hahaha.
  24. I like how people are using Transformers Size-class terms like "scout" and "deluxe" for Hero Factory sets, by the way. Very amusing.
  25. Nah, the parts are pretty blown up in the episode, but aside from the texturing I think that's all the embellishment he's getting.
