Miderun glares at the Enchanter, swinging at him from the back row.
-
I think you forgot to calculate free hits. If any of the Barghests are at less than half health at any point, Atramor uses the Decamodifier on one from the back row. If not, Atramor attacks Direwolf B (and C) with the Tiger Claws from the front row.
-
Atramor slashes his Tiger Claws at Big Rat C (and D) from the front row.
-
Atramor walks into the Fields, looking around idly and shuffling his Decamon deck almost compulsively. McCafferey blinks at the other farm animals with disinterest. "Good to see ya' again Hoke. Nice to hear ya' have experience with this place, which location's our best chance startin' things off here?"
-
Miderun smiled under her hood and gave a short wave to William and Lacey. "Yreg il canzo. Glad to see you two are okay, and that your town has been prospering. It seems we may be able to help you once again. I'd suggest keeping your people away from the forest until we can take care of this beast. At least this monster doesn't have uzard on its side. Not like last time. Anything you two can tell us concerning your stake in this expedition?"
-
That's hilarious. There's a lot of great detail here. Those french fries are absolutely perfect.

Intimidation - Rather than using Diplomacy, the Black Knight gets their way by instilling fear. You're overcomplicating it.
-
Then you're using it wrong. Intimidation is used to intimidate people, believe it or not.
-
Miderun peered around the familiar town. It felt good to see the place in such a better state. "It was some hermit's plan to have the people of Tridentia removed. He took the color from the berries to make it not worth staying. He also raised many uzard and attempted to wipe out the village when all else failed. Me and Vind helped put a stop to it." "You should've expected danger. Been more careful. Olag azh zor kah sarosh muzr. Now what is this monster we have to kill?"
-
"Doubtful. I'm pretty sure I don't read...whatever it is you write." Miderun crossed her arms. "Hard to think how you're sending people to die over one little myvr and the legends that follow it. But I'm sure we can handle it." "You should stay your distance though. My fights tend to get messy. Don't want that hair of yours matted with the gore of this abomination, now do you?" Miderun snorted in amusement. "Let's head to Tridentia."

Atramor scribbles his name down under the Fields of Glory before scooping up his next rum and returning to his seat in the bar, adjusting his new hat and tossing back the spiced alcohol contently. With little to do, some practice with his cards might be a good idea. He slid a half-eaten cob of corn over to McCafferey, who began pecking it while her beady eye slides across the other denizens of the Hall.

It can get confusing, so I wouldn't advise just outright renaming everything you get. Especially not to names of objects you already have.

I think that's the wiki description...

My stats are fine. Miderun looked around the vibrant, lively docks with some recognition, easily the most familiar part of Eubric (minus the Hall) so far. And there was no false image of 'refinement' other places in the city would try to push. Just people going about their business as they would. She approached the party and the ship, listening intently to Fabio and her gaze becoming increasingly unconcerned. "Not much of an art person. Only some reading. What is your relationship with the the people - the kuuno of Tridentia?"

Every battle should not depend on whether one player gets good rolls or not.
-
A class that depending on rolls can obliterate their own or the enemy's party sucks all the fun out of the other players.
-
Too many special rolls.
-
"Looks like it has," remarked Miderun, with a nod towards the quest board. "And a few others we can trust to watch our backs too. This'll do well."
-
Medals are 250 GP, and you guys spent months there. It takes a LOT longer than the length of one quest.
-
There's sometimes next to no effort from some players who go to the Fields. Some players value roleplaying just as much and don't want to have to go through the Fields enough to get a Medal.
-
I don't think I came up with that, I believe I read at some point in this topic. It actually might've been WBD in the first place, I forget.
-
I think that was the purpose of this topic once... Personally I add up the party's current power to get a ballpark for enemy health and multiply as necessary based on what kind of enemy I'm going for (minions, elites, bosses, etc.). With few exceptions all enemies should be able to deal notable damage to each party member without instantly killing anyone.
-
A lot of defense?
-
Apparently you guys. I'm kidding, but battles can be poorly designed just like anything else. Some of those in Quest 69 REALLY dragged on. Those in 121 were almost pointless for how quickly your party tore through them. QMs don't host quests just for the battles, and PCs shouldn't quest just for the battles either, there's a lot more effort behind making a quest than figuring out battles.
