  1. This'll be a fun party to watch.
  2. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you come back eventually, Flare.
  3. In all fairness though you did each get one of those great items. Which I thought was generous and very fitting for you guys based on how the quest was structured.
  4. As I recall your quest description was 'protect our circus'. Seems like an appropriate payment to me.
  5. After a week or so of visiting random bars around Eubric, Atramor returned to Heroica Hall, this time to the Training Room, where the Copper Fox looked to be assembling more combat dummies. "Mister Fox, there ya' are. I was hopin'-" "Decamon Drafter? Few others seem to have many cards left. It seems the only viable reason to have kept yours," guessed the Fox shrewdly without even looking up. McCafferey clicked her beak almost approvingly of the Veteran. Atramor only blinked in mild surprise. "Well...aye. Figure I could use with more flexibility in what I can do in battle." "Then I hope your Witch training comes in handy. You'll be spending a lot of ether." The Copper Fox stood - but rather than the usual sparring weapon in his hand, he had only a few Decamon cards. "Now then. Let's play." Twenty minutes, a lot of cards, and many training dummies maimed in various ways later, Atramor left the training room as a Decamon Drafter, and looked the part as well. 6. Atramor dropped by the Marketplace briefly for 10 Grand Tonics at the cost of 300 gold.
  7. Miderun made damn sure her name was signed up under Quests #122 and #125, looking up from reading her book intently as more heroes filed into the Hall. There was more non-humans than there first appeared to be, although that still amounted mostly to elves and gnomes.
  8. There's also the fact that we have no idea how big Olegaia even is. Who knows how far those Uncharted Waters go.
  9. Like I just said, a wizard did it. What other explanation do you need? I don't think Mercution was a 'continent' like say Xu or Baltarok is. I thought it was just something like a medium-sized island and the parts that remained above sea level became Uland and the Free Islands. Uland isn't THAT big. I don't think the water level would rise enough to flood the world.
  10. I think the story is that mages sunk it when it became infested with demons, courtesy of Baba. I could be mistaken.
  11. Demons, shades, gnomes, halfling, dwarves, imps, Wolfgangers, the undead, a dragon...
  12. That sounds like a spam Z-Mail.
  13. We kinda did. His idea of 'handling Sauron' ended up being trying to usurp his power with the One Ring. That's what I got out of it, anyway.
  14. That's needlessly complicating a simple, fun game.
  15. What's keeping a person from just buying the best cards and cleaning everyone out? The element of randomness offers some balance here at least.
  16. His own staff gets melted in DoS, but now that I think about it, no.
  17. Nobody would drop a scroll like that, for this reason.
  18. "Damn. Well, it'll be the last dragon ya' ever see," remarked Atramor, laying down his Flesh Golem (Dark 3). "Plant Champion my megablocks. Good game, I suppose."
  19. It's super hard to do. And QMs come up with even more devious specials to get around it. I do the best I can to better my character but I've never felt like I've been removing tension with how good my build is.
  20. Atramor plays his Phoenix (Fiery 9), tying with Emeraldo, and then his Carcinos (Aquatic 8).
  21. "Emeraldo. Looks like you've been doin' well for yourself in your little exile." Atramor plays his Cloud Gigas (Electric 9), trumping the Decamon Champion's card, and then plays his Lucky Rabbit (Icy 1).
  22. Exactly. Planning was relatively easy for most of the others (though dueling Hoke was hit-or-miss) and I typically debate for some time before deciding on a hand but I felt like half of this one was just guessing. It was a close one, too.
  23. Atramor plays his Star Elemental (Ethereal 8), winning the game but at great cost. "Good game, mate."
  24. Atramor plays his Cloud Gigas (Electric 9) and then his Unicorn (Luminous 5).
  25. I think we're both more or less guessing. I typically tailor my hands specifically to counter an opponent's most likely cards, but we have so damn many of them.
