Shortening the quest WAS the attempt at fixing it. You can't sprinkle pixie dust on a quest and make it better at the drop of a hat.

Guts is overpowered. Honestly, the only reason I was concerned about the blacksmith was a lot of the services were simply easy to abuse. I liked most of them but it would've been trivial for say, Guts to make Lifestealer deal poison by 100, which is an issue. It needed to be nerfed, but maybe it was by a little too much.

So you're complaining that your frustrating experience should've been longer? I'm not saying it was the players' fault, but a little more understanding probably would've been appreciated. Shortening the quest was probably a good call.
-
That's the vibe I was getting too. You guys didn't look like you were enjoying what you were playing, to be honest.
-
Both entirely plausible if you're not careful.

I don't know if anyone else does this but I just run all new items by Sandy in the quest pitch, and that pretty much resolves most item-based issues...

That's something I don't understand with Siercon's weapon.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion
CMP replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hold on, are we sure these are CMFs? A LOT of those seem like monsters, and we know there's supposed to be a Scooby Doo theme of some sort later in the year, right? -
No.

She needs to take a look through the Heroica archive sometime.

"Like Vind said, we're waiting to see if we can help out this little island again. You should consider signing up as well, you'd make a hell of an addition to our team, you're better in a fight than I would've thought. The three of us would have no problem handling things, whatever they are..."
-
"The dissidents would've been killed the moment they failed in their duties and cost the entire group their chance of escape. In such a situation, survival would've been the priority, even young orcs could see that and act accordingly. The rest of it would've played out far differently if they had," explained Miderun, with a nod.
-
"Would not surprise me. Might be an interesting fight...couldn't say about that kuai. Lots of strange people here." "Annienal. Good to see you. Was just talking to Vind here." Miderun nodded, waving over her friend. She thought to herself for a moment, and then reached into her pack, pushing the book she had borrowed across to her. "Finished this by the way. Interesting insight. Though it would've gone a lot differently with orcs."
-
"Well, some strength clearly wasn't enough strength. This job looks more straightforward, but who's to know? Maybe it's a dragon hoarding the berries or something this time," shrugged Miderun, with a snicker. She looked sideways at the cloaked man scampering away from Annienal and the quest board, and a glance at the latter explained why. "It looks like we won't be headed out to the mountains. Maybe we will see Tridentia again after all. Nice place, if a little colorless."
-
Yes, but they take up a job trait slot, when Necromancers and Evokers (apparently) can do so without the associated job trait.
-
That's not what I'm talking about. Pet Dragon and Decamon Summon are job traits. I don't believe Evoker nor Necromancer have job traits that let them use summons outside of battle.
-
Yeah, but then that totally defeats of the purpose of 'Pet Dragon' and 'Decamon Summon'.
-
"What do you mean? We completely killed that uzardtirn, if I remember right."
-
Miderun blinked and shook her head almost disbelievingly. "Damn. I wouldn't've let him off so easy, personally. But then I know how you are with children. We nearly had to fight some in my last quest. Zero respect for their elders here. They would not be so arrogant in Baltarok, I will tell you that. Well, seems if all goes well we'll be returning to Tridentia once again. Trouble seems to follow that place around." Atramor nods to Tesni, taking up a chair by her and Skrall, McCafferey settling down on it comfortably as he leaned back in his chair with a bottle of rum in hand. "Aye, good to see ya' again, mate. It's been a while. Where the hell'd ya' get off to after we took down those Stars?"
-
Miderun looked up at Vindsval as he approached. "Pretty well, Vahlorocand. Took care of some traitors to the Bonapartes, the Mougano. It disturbs me how quick people in this city are to sell eachother out. I suppose loyalty means more to orcs." She shrugged. "I learned quickly I shouldn't pick fights I don't need to and aren't exactly ready for, even before I came to this place." She nodded towards her bandaged arm. "Most heroes probably know how to put up a good fight anyway. What about you? What exactly happened to your arm?"
-
Atramor nods and hands over Sylvania's Cowl in exchange for the Decamon cards. "Sounds good to me, mate. Aye, I've been trainin' to use these cards in battle. What about you? Ya' don't look like much of a dragoon anymore."
-
Miderun blinked as even more people approached the Quest board. She did the same, curious as to what drew them, before finding a name of a familiar place listed on the most recent Quest. She scribbled her name down under Quest #126, under those of two of her former questmates, and then turned to go back to her chair, having at long last finished the book given to her. Now she was familiarizing herself with orcish runes again as she scrawled down a letter. Along the way she bumped into a rather odd man in a cloak, hat, and some kind of bird. She gave him an odd look for a moment, then just continued on by. Atramor Gibbin shrugged it off, only mildly annoyed. It felt good to not have the weight of whatever power Regulators wielded on his shoulders. Bouncing between chaotic and orderly got tedious after a while. Now everything just boiled down to playing cards. Life seemed easier that way. He took up his favorite seat at the bar, ordered a rum, tilted his hat to those familiar around the saloon, and got down to the real purpose of those that came to Heroica Hall: enjoying the never-ending steam of booze.

I take it you don't consider yourself part of most QMs, then.

I found the undo button and became more or less okay with it a month or so ago.
