How do QMs take the avatar pictures for NPCs? I only just finished and uploaded the last of mine, and it is an amazingly tedious process. I line them all up on a brick-built rig in front of a piece of paper, eight to a dozen figs in each shot, and then have to go through and snip a perfect square for each of their profiles, sharpen/brighten it, and add an outline. It takes around three minutes for each one, more if there's manual editing work to do, so in total I've spent around two hours on them alone. Is this normal? Is there some trick I'm missing to it? Do I just have too damn many NPCs?

A distressed-looking woman in red entered the hall, tallying one of the Quest's sign-ups. "At least enough have signed on...still need that knight..." I kinda think they would be overpowered in a reusable once per battle state. Takes some of the magic out of Evokers. Maybe a once per Quest item?

Atramor was quick to catch up with the trio. Way too much time haggling with the decrepit old bastard back in the Hall. "Sorry mates. Here now. What's with the crab?" He glanced at each member in turn. Ellaria looked close to tears for some reason, the berserker was petting one of the horses, and Althior's expression...or, lack of it...was pretty damn unusual. The witch raised his eyebrows, then just shook his head, turning to the barbarian. "You must be Tesni? Good to meet ya'. Atramor Gibbin." Atramor extended on hand, the other clutching the Pheles Rod tightly." I just sold my Heavy Flail for 100 coins.

Atramor grumbled, but time was running out for him to get a move on to the theatre. He handed over the Heavy Flail, taking a pouch of 100 gold in return. "Fine. Put it to good use, old man." With that, he walked out of the hall. Seconds after his departure, a crooked-looking feathery shadow slipped through an open window in surprising silence.

"Ya' hit somebody with it, the next couple hits that land on them will crumple 'em like a piece of paper. 150 gold and it's yours."

I meant as in why did you challenge him if you knew it was going to take an eternity to get rid of his defense?

Poisoned and Badly Poisoned don't stack, JimB. Badly Poisoned takes precedence.

"Dragon-curin' in Dastan? Guess things are gettin' better since I was there," muttered Atramor off-handedly, accepting the gold. He pondered the monk's words for a moment, pulling the Heavy Flail from inside his cloak. "What about this? I wouldn't've been able to use this as just a rogue."

"I'd like to get around 250 coins for it." He paused. "I don't s'pose you'd have in interest in a new weapon to go along with it, would ya'?"

"Try it on and find out," remarked Atramor, tossing him the robe, feeling his ether reserve drop significantly on doing so.

Atramor glances at the monk in rags and lugging around a cart seemingly full of pretzels. He pulls his Robe of the Archmagi off. "How much would ya' pay for somethin' like this? And, er, is that cross thing s'post to be a weapon...?"

I agree. I like having to go into the library and ask to know about anything specific. Adds to the game world.

Jeb had an Expert Class idea kinda like that...which I think would fit better, it's a little too complex for an artifact.

If it makes you feel any better Doc, I'm probably trading the Heavy Flail soon anyway. That's something I've wanted to see for a while.

Atramor glanced up at the Quest board, and grumbled upon noticing Althior'd been chosen as well....he assumed the mage was long gone...at least Ellaria was coming along, who'd he'd just returned from Questing from, and he found reasonable enough. He took a quick look around. He didn't know any Tesni. Whoever she was, though, couldn't be much worse than Althior...he picked up a new bottle of rum, and took a swig of its contents. At least he'd get to chop up some rats.

Don't forget the immunity to the sealed effect.
