not all items are on sale, despite the clearance label. i know coz i was there. ;-) besides, walmart's selection is very small and in limited quantity. they probably didn't have much left to begin with. at least in my state that was the case. i have to go to a poorer neighborhood since the richer middle class walmarts didn't have much left and even then seige castle wasn't on sale. mostly just the AR, MM, SBSP, EF on sale. The SW, Castle weren't. you can try sears essential. they have 25-30% sale now. they mark up drastically though for some castle sets you can find bargains, like the catapult since they didn't mark that up to begin with. :-P even star wars sets were on sale, but since those have the highest mark ups you might get like 5-10% off depending on your store.

really?? well, i hate to be rude but his mechas aren't exactly WOW. moko's and his are worlds apart. kwi-chang's and his even further. i would give moko more credit than kwi-chang since he works with smaller scale and it's harder to make things look nice at a smaller scale and he did it perfectly. Nabii probably worked on MM as well. I can see the switch fighter model in some of his space crafts. can't say i like it though. :-P

strangely i don't play with them anymore. i build them, then put them in a box since i have no display space anymore. occasionally take them out and look at them again. but mostly after i build a set i have the strange urge to buy more lego! so i voted for "i am addicted to ABS". if i am not shopping at retail stores, i will be shopping online on amazon.com or other online retailers. if they all don't have lego on sales, then i hit ebay. it's a strange addiction. so far i have spent way too much in 2007. by my last count probably ranging in the 5k region (incl tax and shipping). gotta cut back in 2008. maybe go into another dark age. :-D i dream of one day being able to build a natelite town comprised of the wild west district, the pirates district, the classic castle district (together with wolfmen and forestmen), the new castle district, the space district, the exoforce district, etc. :-) somehow i think it is going to be a challenge having enough room for such a large city :-D :-D :-D

couldn't agree more! *wub* i'm also in love with that ship. it's soooooo well done. truly a classic. the denizens of eldorado tremble in fear whenever this ship is near! muAAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! *sweet* *y* :-D oh...and i also love the islander theme. the faces are great as french mimes! :-D :-D ;-)

i actually like them CRAPP or crepes. :-P it was put to good use in the eldorado. i really like that set. the sunken hole was put to good use as a cellar for those treasure and port wine! :-P before getting some of the classic sets from fleabay (i have very few classics during my childhood, the beta 1 command, 924 transport ship, some space police, etc) i wasn't sure what makes a classic a classic. that is until i got a few of them. the yellow castle, the wolfman pack, the eldorado, the caribbean clipper. and BSB, SES. those really took a while to build even with few parts. not only that, they are good as display models too. and playable too. well, not much to do for the castles :-P maybe that's because i haven't won a good set like 6086 yet. but i can see why the pirates sets are so good. looks beautiful as a legorized ship, playable (shooting cannons), and all brick built. my son has an awesome time making them walk the plank. :-P staging mutiny, had cannon fights between the eldorado, clipper and BSB. BSB is particularly beautiful. it has real cabin doors, and galley below the deck. clipper is a little hollow. haven't build the SES yet, but if it is like the BSB, it should be fantastic too. i would imagine if they were to create pirates today, it would have that large thingy as cannon. yuck! i don't think the 70-80s are the golden age. i think the 90s are the golden age. the 90s are way better in terms of design, playability and build. i kept a few classic spacemen and knights (btw, the visor feels like cheap plastics, not the hard ABS like the pointy visor. is this right? don't know if i got a crap pirated version or not). but visually they aren't as stunning as the pointy visor knights or the space police/mtron/blacktrons. same with the castle and spacecraft designs. of course, some would argue the 90s have more moulds. nevertheless, the completed sets are just so stunning, visually. i am going to look for some of these obscure sets from the pirates, castle and space themes. :-P they are soooo good. :-D

i got 3 samurais the other day (set 6013). can't get other ninja/samurai mfs since those cost an arm and a leg.

i love the new batman boxes! so thin. it's half the size of other lego boxes. let's hope they continue to do that for future sets. more shelf space for my MISB collection! :-P :-D misb until i sell them that is. X-D :-D :-P ;-) p.s. i got batcopter yesterday and also advent calendar. :-P also waiting for my classic yellow castle to arrive, which i got from fleebay. not mint, but advertised as in "excellent condition." will see exactly what quality the bricks are in before considering investing in some restoration stickers. :-P

i don't like the movie. it plays like a kindergarten playground fight. the factions switch sides faster than their bed partners. it's almost like they fight because of the love of fighting. it's like seeing the saxons they suddenly said "oh...bigger trophy...yummy....truce?" "okay!" "whee!" "killing time! more ketchup pls!" nevermind that the romans were the real oppressors and those "valiant" knights who were actual roman soldiers. if 8 of them can really take down an entire horde...why even have garrisons? the producer obviously focused too much on the effects and the screenplay and nothing on the plot or playwright (either that or they paid for extremely shallow scripts). gladiator and brave heart are way, way, way beyond king arthur's league. okay, i'm digressing here...so on topic: good moc. :-D X-D :-| :-P ;-)

i got another BSB from fleebay. One of the BSB i scored was almost mint. all the parts are gleaming in like new condition. :-P it was as if i had bought it at the store. too bad 2 mf and the small boat missing but otherwise complete. the mfs aren't rare, about $1-2 ea from BL. i think this will be a keeper. :-P hehe...will sell the other BSBs.
