Ability to group parts into a larger module, would be nice too. -
Even though the LU-mode palette includes a lot of bricks, there are still many missing. However, with a bit of fantasy and creativity, it possible to create and share alternatives to these bricks by making custom variants of the parts that are that available in LDD. If you want to participate and help add custom made pieces, read the rules and post what you got here Rules of the Topic (Please read these guidelines before posting) - Report piece number and piece description, in order to help to generate the index. - Use code and description provided on peeron website. - For example: 73037 - Winch 2 x 4 x 2 - Insert a thumbnail of your original piece, to provide an immediate identification. - Insert a thumbnail (or more, if you create different versions) of your creation, in order to provide a preview. - The thumbnails should be small, not more than 150x150 pixel (if the piece is complex, thumbnails should be bigger). - Report a comment of your work, specifing limits and advantages. - and obviously... Share you lxf file! How does an idea of a MOC come to you?
Zerobricks replied to RoryoCox's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I usually either get idea from thin air, or by randomly playing with bricks, until it hits me :) -
This month (June) the competition is all about Wheels – Whether it’s an offroad terrain vehicle, a large flatbed truck, a plane, conveyor belt or otherwise – your model must contain lots of wheels! The wheels do not necessarily need to be for driving on, they do not all need to be of the same shapes and sizes – but they must have a relevance to the model, and there must be lots of them. For me this is such a random challenge, but who cares :). So i suppose you can make multiple axel cranes, heavy transport units, offroad trucks, trucks with trailers... You guys have any ideas?

LDD Design Challenge #4
Zerobricks replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Close it until there is no gap, and use arrow keys for proper closing-opening. Goona try it in LDD now. EDIT yes, use arrow keys or click the angle tools pointers (the ones that look like lego plates with 1 middle stud). -

TECHNIC Sets from 2010
Zerobricks replied to LordGalewind's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Impressive, but i am a bit surprised by the lack of clutches and 1:1 gearing from the M motor for 3 gearbox switching. They really nicely synced track and superstructure rotation! I suggest you to use google translate, it does its job good. -

WIP RC sports car
Zerobricks replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sadly, i disassembled the car for parts and later better rebuilt. There were no issues that i know off, cause XL motors eat less power than XL's.
