  1. Very impressive for such a large model! How is the steeing? I suppose you didnt use differentials?
  2. Got one, you can delete this thread!
  3. This is a hack, i didnt make. It adds a lot more pieces and colors to LDD. Use it for modeling only! Download this file and place it in "C:\Documents and Settings\name\Application Data\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\Palettes http://www.medvedek.org/browse/LDD/Fa... Check this link regulary for updates. If you wanna see instructions or examples, go here:
  4. That sound isnt slipping of the driven gear, but slipping of the second gear, which isnt engaged. The ouput never slips :)
  5. Didnt you visit nicjasno for a while? Anyway welcome, and your MOC is in great scale!
  6. I voted for the red plane by Luc, because its the most functional one!
  7. Well the slipping is not present here at all. Because as soon as the first gear is disconection the second one kicks in. This was just an expriment, which actaully succeeded. Comapring to CVT, this gearbox doesnt need any friction to work, but is louder.
  8. So i was thinking od ways to make an automatic gearbox and came up with this simple, yet effective idea: Basically the gearbox changes gear when the force on the gear shifting lever is too high, which causes the lower gear lever to kick in and so on...
  9. Mines are here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=287995 Basically i use the small boxes for smaller and rarer parts, and a big box for the usual parts.
  10. Amazing looks of model team with workings of technic! Superb job!
  11. The differential compares the actual steering angle with a desired one and turns the switch. The M motor does the steering, so you dont need to steer manually (usefull in bigger models like 8466).
  12. Well by upload, there was written which file types were accepted and size. Anyway i'm glad i made it to adult side of the challenge :)
  13. You are a very rich man. In the crane picture, you can see a new gearbox, which i suppose is also used ine excavator tread drive.
  14. Very messy :)
  15. Does anyone have a RC unit with auxiliary output lying around, and doesn't need it. I desperately need it, because mine broke during repair...
  16. Great job! Reminds me of the rescue helicopter lego relased in the 90's. So many functions, and details! The competition is really tough!
  17. You have any video of your automatic machine?
  18. Its not RC, because i dont need for that. Rotors are 'flimsy' because they are held to body in only 2 points, because treads have only 2 axleholes.
  19. This is my entry for the competition. I hope you guys like it! It features motorised contra rotating rotos, joystick control of both rotor assemblies and a rear opening hatch.
  20. I suggest you to use a clucth gear, because a stalled motor can get warm quite fast.
  21. I dont think it would go out much faster than by regular use.
  22. This sensor uses the PF's own weakness for its good. It uses some basic PF parts with a couple of black plates.
  23. Whata bout simply attaching cylinder to a normal lego 3 way valve, and when the pressure is high enough, the valve opens and air escapes...
