Thats a really creative way to use wheels, but are they considered wheels or just rims is another question. -

I made the model in LDD. There are 12 tooth bewel gears missing (they didnt align for some reason) and some decorative panels and bricks. All the mechanic is there. Remember to use soft springs, so you dont put too much force on the motors. DOWNLOAD HERE -
For the challenge i decided to build a vehicle which uses the tri star wheel concept most commonly find in the trolleys for easyer staricase negotiation. Each hub uses 7 gears in Y shape to power three wheels. If the wheel gets stuck the whole assembly turn, therebye negotiating the obstacle. As you can see the whole body can tilt longitudinaly for best flexibilty. On the rear are the screws for powering the craft through the water. The model is powered by two M motors. The final gear ratio is 1:6,25. Left side houses the battery unit and the right one the PF receiver. For better reception the right side uses transparent bricks. Both can easily open using a folding mechanism. I also made a short video showing off its offroad performances, which are very good for a model this small size:

A really good looking and power full train! Are those bent antennas in the front? How did you power up the wheels from the XL motors?

For the LDD competition i decided to build something small, yet full of functions and as official looking as possible. Basically its a trophy truck with suspension, hand of god steering, working steering wheel and a fake V4 engine. You can also motorize it, as shown by groups. I also had to use some self-made parts that arent inclzded in LDD as the 11x5 frame, differential, fake engine and the front suspension. Front end view: Rear end with the differential and hand of god steering visible: To motorize it, first we remove the front grill: Remove the fake V4 engine: Put the M motor in its place and the battery box on the rear: And reinsert the grill: All colors were checked using LDD Manager. Download the file HERE I am planning to also build a real one, but I am waiting for front suspension parts.

The axles use 4 link suspension. The links on the upper side go like V and the ones on teh botom go like A. Together they form an X, which keeps axles centered. -

I doubt u joints will be broken, because they are all carry relative low torque, and the gearing comes after them. -

2 receivers are for indpendent/left right control. You can set them both to same channel for single channel mode, but you loose ability for L/D control. Wheels are arround 9,5 cm wide, a stud bigger than 8297 ones. -
This is my newest and most sophisticated offroader to date. It features independent left/right side wheel drive, very flexible 4 link suspension on both axels, lighter body and bigger wheels with more traction and profile. All these factors allow it to climb up a smooth surface at 55 degree angle or over boxes the size of the truck's wheels. This may be my last trial truck, because i dont know how to improve it further Mod please rename the title to AVENGER not avanger
