  1. I was trying to make instructions for my crane, when i found these bugs: The axle cannot be spin smoothly in this bracket hole: And LA cant be tilted no matter what you try... Also I had crane some 20% complete when suddenly almost all bricks dissapeared... No undo could help...
  2. I mean the extension boom. What holds it from sliding back?
  3. An option to mirror brick assemblys. Great for bigger models with repetition.
  4. It worked good for me, great little crane you built! What holds the foldable arm from sliding back?
  5. I used both functions independent on purpose, because this allows you to put the second arm in horisontal position, while the main one acts like a pillar, which allows you to reach some 50 cm from crane's base. Yeah the second boom is bigger, but it also has the extension part inside. I dont know if there is room to add more stuff on first boom, because it needs to fold back too. Yes its white wedding day instrumental
  6. Trying to build an unique crane can be quite a challenge, but I managed to think of something which I think is unique enough. This crane is a mix of a crawler and mobile crane, as it uses the tracks and multible booms from a crawler crane with a combo of extendable booms from a mobile crane. The two booms are places on top of each other. The first one is lifted with two LA's, while the second one uses worm gears and a 40 tooth gear for lifting up. Also the second boom can be extended to maximise the reach of the crane. When folded the model emasures 28x19,5x13 centimeters, but when fully lifted it reaches 67 cm height. The lifting functions are powered by 4 M motors hidden in the body, while the drive is powered by 2 Xl motors. The tracks have bogies for flexibility: Start of the lift: Half way lifted crane from side: Maximum lifted and extended booms: Various gear details: The model uses 48 gears Cabine uses the so 90's popular city truck grill for roof: Crane close to its max lift capability: And a video: What you guys think?
  7. Did you guys think of changing the both 20 tooth idle gears, so they face the same direction? Right now when the LA's rotate through the idle gear's axle, one LA slightly shifts one way, and the other reverse way, because the 20 tooth idle gears are not facing same direction. This amy cause the LA's to lock up...Try moving one idle gear in the contr position, so they both face same direction.
  8. Save the file and use 7 zip or a simillar program to unzip it :)
  9. Here's a bug i found when trying to insert an axle3L stud-wise in a half beam....both 3 dissapeared, menaing its an illegal connection.
  10. This is just crazy!!! So much chrome, contrasted by orange chassis and a black body....SUPER EYE CANDY Is there enough room for a motor inside the sleeper?
  11. Thats very smart! I also like, that its simple, and therefore reliable!
  12. That chicken sure rocks! Nice use of the bionicle parts too.
  13. Where? There are new dark colored tan 3L axels with stud though...
  14. Simply amazing! but isnt handbrake for rear wheels only? Nice to see some old school styling too!
  15. I am a bit worryed how your wheels bend like at 1:06 and misalign at 1:36. Reinforce steering and it will be perfect!
  16. Looks like plain old LDD to me
  17. The first video is simply amazing!!! That was at least NXT's performing on the instruments! The most impressive was the catarpillar track, which played on the xylphone (i think)! That was simply stunning!
  18. Dluders, couldnt you find something safer, like a giliotine to post? Yeah good way to hurt yourself, bricks or anyone...
  19. So i decided, to totally redesign the layout for an experimental trial truck. Normal steering was ditched in the favour of skid steering, and the susopension gave way to a longitudaly tilted two sided body. The egaring from both Xl motors is 1:1,67, which amkes truck fast, yet strong. There are few problems to fix though, the turntable pivot point seems to be too high, which makes the truck tilt both sides by heavy steering. I am really interested in your opinions! Added a photo showing the driveline:
  20. They look for ages over 15 I think... And I think you are a bit harsh....
  21. Looks cool so far! Cant wait to see how you make the cab!
  22. I voted for the walker, because its the most unique one.
  23. These deserve my votes: EntryID: 126 Name: Vietnamese Bus EntryID: 146 Name: Circus Arena EntryID: 144 Name: Irish Troubles Others did great too! (wish i had more points to gibe )
