that piano is a bit of pure genius, please do tell what part is used for the black keys? I'm racking my brain and I can't work it out?

I've now collected all the 9v trains (9v came around in 1991 from memory) and apart from the holiday train of 2006, I don't recall another one, unless someone can tell me otherwise? 2006 Holiday Train

I like anything technic, but this model looks a little odd without it's stickers, its red and black panels don't exactly contrast well, a bit like the racing truck without it's stickers. Also, I'm not sure if it's my building skills or the design, but the front wheel scrapes on the toothed 1 x 4 plates, when at full travel? Paul

It's not that bad, you have the shop within the Lego discovery centre in Manchester, only 150 miles :-)

I'd love to see this mountain bike released as an alternative kind of cycle Mountain Bike -
I saw a very similar design a couple of years ago on brickshelf on one of the event pages, I think this is definitely a much better scale use of the "inflatable hull" than the original design by Lego. Paul

Why aren't there more UK Lego shops?
paul_delahaye replied to jm28cardiff's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Of course you are forgetting the store in the arrival hall/departure hall of Copenhagen airport! I found that on my trip to Sweden last year :-) -
Wow, for a minute I thought we got 2 x 9v Red micromotors :-) Nice set though

I picked up my copy of this set about a month ago, I really like the set although a little overpriced for it's size, nothing we have not come to expect. What annoys me is how they are using the clutch in the linear actuator rather than putting one of the white clutch cogs into the sets, that noise the LA makes when they hit their limits just does not sound healthy, It's seems such an easy fix on this set, just replacing the dark bley 24 tooth cog with a clutch cog, I'm sure lego considered this, just cut the costs, Paul

Original poster paid 29.99 Euros so expecting to pay £25 - £29 GBP Nearly fell of my chair when I see the UK price!! TRU link So much for an improvement between the pound and the euro!

Why aren't there more UK Lego shops?
paul_delahaye replied to jm28cardiff's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I was a little disappointed with the trafford centre discover center shop, it did not have the newest sets in stock like the lego shops, in BW, MK and Brighton, maybe this is because it is owned by Merlin entertainments and not Lego directly? Or are the Lego shops in the UK franchises? I don't know? I do seem to remember their being a dedicated Lego shop in the Friary centre in Guilford about 20+ years ago. on the second floor. -
I was so hoping this could come with old fabuland bread sticks :-) Bread Linky

Some electrical degreaser on a soft cloth should shift the sticky residue, but don't use any form of scourer, otherwise you will just scratch your bricks. Paul -
OK, thought it was just me that found the screws very tight, I only had one of those little screwdrivers for glasses, after all, most people don't have heavy duty screwdrivers for little screws. It would have been better if they had used a hex head screw, at least that way an allen key would have been easier to use, lego could even have supplied one! molded into a brick :-)

Just built this set and although I am happy with the train, I am a little disappointed with the assembly of the tanker ends, they just don't clip on very well, anyone else notice this? the fit is almost as bad as the old train fronts from the remote control trains. Paul

I think we need something that can fully utilise the other 6 functions on the remote control, I'm sure point controllers or an automated crossing must have been on the cards when they allowed us 8 channels on the remote, surely they were not just thinking of running 8 trains? I'd like to see a freight loading station (not jut a crane), loose freight/car loading A circus train could be fun?
