Loader Someone elses Flickr image of the ballest loading device, looks to be adjustable in angle, maybe just by moving the red technic pin?
-
Look closely, this just looks like a regular grey ir receiver, with red 1 x 2 tiles on the top,

This so has to be real, that red battery box could not be faked, it has to be moulded by Lego. It does cause train fans a small problem, the lithium battery pack comes in power functions grey. If we use this style of battery pack, the train will loose it's style somewhat.

Exclusive Train 10219 Maersk Train (Exclusive 2011)
paul_delahaye replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
So I'm thinking and by looking at the picture, the carriages are likely 8 wide, I think I can almost count six studs between the 2 blue tiles, so do we think this is a new drop neck carriage moulding, or is is brick built or the regular 6 wide modified to 8 wide? Paul- 379 replies

I will get it at some point, as I like to collect technic sets, but wow, what a pointless use of power functions, I think more people would have been impressed if that medium motor had been used to operate the front steering. Even if they had left a big hole at the back for us to retro fit a second motor for the drive train. I hope there is a white friction cog in their somewhere to prevent that little motor grinding all those gears when they reach their limits :-) Paul -
So at long last they are releasing Lego Harry Potter for Mac users, something we have been waiting for, for a long time :-) January 14, 2011 Paul

REVIEW: 8803 LEGO Minifigures Series 3
paul_delahaye replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just picked up my first 20 figures from Argos, I'm aiming to collect 2 complete sets of these as before, by pure luck, I got 20 with a maximum duplication of 2 which is what I'm aiming for but wow those dots on the packaging are almost impossible to see. The one thing I noticed straight away was there are no accessories included with any of the 20 figures I got so far, this is a shame, but as the price has not risen, even with the VAT rise I can accept this. Paul -
The last one was only £55 GBP from memory, much as I would love several of these to make a minifig scale model, my wages just have not gone up by 50% in the last 5 years, come on Lego, be realistic.

mmmmm, was I the only one expecting to see a Canal in this city?

I'm wondering if the lighthouse light will actually rotate, it looks like there is a black cranking handle on the back of the lighthouse? -
I'm really pleased to see printed road signs again, it really annoyed me when they changed to stickers, as I tend to not add the stickers to my sets, most of the time you can still see what the set is without the stickers, but when it comes to road signs, you are limited. This is good, but still not worth the price, I'm really hoping these new prices are already set at the higher rate of VAT for the UK and they don't intend to add another 2.5% to the prices on the 4th Jan! If they do that, this year will hurt my wallet. Paul

Years ago, black pins were a bugger to remove from technic bricks, the tolerance was very tight on them, they later added slots in the pins, this made them easier to remove and insert. I think they also made them safer if swallowed by people, light grey however was like a frictionless pin More recently, like you say, tan has become the frictionless pin, blue has become the medium friction pin, still leaving black only found occasionally now as the maximum strength pin. That would be my taking on it Paul -
Well 2011 looks quite good: We get a farmer, female farmer and a scarecrow in the community figure set, We get chickens and goats in this kingdom set to enhance the range of animals Chickens and Goats And then there is the farm ship and loading dock which was leaked the other day, all in all, a good year for the farm me thinks, a bad year for my wallet! Hello another White house with a red roof and a lighthouse? Hill House Credit to the owner of the Flickr account, :-) -
Purely Sceptical, but these could be small sets from 2011 or parts of larger sets featured and screen grabbed from the videos posted earlier, there was a small green truck as well, but it was a bit too blurry Nice little forlift Delivery Van Looks like a small crane or road repair crew Looks like a cafe? Could be some off road vehicles

Nice bit of minimal cost product placement for Lego though, only 20 Million people saw it :-)
