I'm assuming it's in Empire Strikes Back at the end when Lando is wearing Han's clothing for some apparent reason

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Forresto replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Does anyone think Lego will ever produce variant blaster molds such as a Imperial stormtooper variant or First Order Stormtrooper? -
Sorry for my upcoming whinging. May be the first SW film I skip. Han Solo's main appeal comes mostly from his mysterious past that continually comes back to haunt him in the present. We know enough of who he was, that I dont see what this film will contribute to the saga especially with Han being dead now. Han's arc is done. A comic or book? Definitely since we can all imagine a young Harrison in our minds. Theres plenty of backstories that would contribute more to fleshing out the SW universe. Darth Vader in the years between Revenge and a New Hope would be amazing! Especially with James Earl Jones still alive and anyone able to put on the suit. We dont know much about the formative years of the Empire or Vader's relationship with the Emperor.

You know as a kid it was very hard for anything Star Wars Lego realated to not be awesome to have. I remember loving the heck out of sets I knew even then that were not accurate or very good. So yes the set would be awesome for a kid, that in my book does not make it any better of a set. Kids can be very smart and discerning but I imagine most wouldnt have a negative thing to say if you bought them this set. Being awesome for kids is not that difficult to do ezpecially with what amounts to being a playset. Besides I fhought UCS was meant for an older audience so the kid arguement is realatively moot at Lego's own branding.

I beleiev Tarkin shouldve been gray. Im happy though that we got dark tan grand moff uniform because it means we get more much needed variety. I cant wait for instructions on the Acklay it looks awesome even if a tad small

I keep reading people didn't think the comedy of the new film was funny. I know it is highly stringent on personal preference, but I went to see it four times at very different theaters and there were huge laughs at all the jokes each showing. I think a testament to it, although anecdotal so not factual, is my mom went to see it and genuinely laughed at a lot of the comedic elements and she notoriously dislikes Star Wars. I thought Finn and Poes bromance/romance (you never know about the latter happening ) was pretty humorous. Was he thumbs upping or flipping the bird?

The anti Assault on Hoth flak has hit Instagram that is hilarious

I wholeheartedly agree with Venkefedo. Especially when Tarkin forst arrives in the hanger the uniform is exactly the same color as his film counterpart. The uniforms in the first film are a very warm grey that depending on the white balance and lighting can appear more tan/brown then grey. The same problem happens with American Civil War Confederate uniforms. Some were genuinely dark tan while others were a warm grey that could appear brown. I think TLG made his uniform dark tan for this set partly because of commitment to their previous decision on officer color but also that a dark gray variant will appear in the UCS Death Star.

Is her cape in the eclipse fighter set a different material? It appears thicker and of better quality then most other Lego Capes i've seen. Especially when compared to the paper thin ones found in the Shadow Trooper Battle Pack *shudder*
-
If you don't want him i'll take the underwhelming figure off your hands
-
Hey it must be done if only to make TLG realize that much for a set of this price that's so badly done is unacceptable to the consumer. Lego seems to take so few missteps it's necessary to let them know what we all think. I sort've hate doing this, as I don't own it, but I have to down vote it based on the numerous pectoral reviews i've seen.

Really? Fantastic, I always liked him as an actor even if he does get typecast quite frequently.
-
The more I look at my Battle of Endor AT-ST the more it feels lacking when compared to your awesome one!
-
A set where the vehicles are okay but the figures are amazing!
-
I think the drill sergeant actor from that just passed away recently!

Thanks everyone for the feedback, it feels great! Haha excellent to know i'm not the only one then

[SoNE XI] Big Trouble in Little Kuat
Forresto replied to Junior Shark's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I absolutely love the contrast between the colorful tan building and the rundown grey building. Not only that but they both look really good, especially the slummier one! Excellent build and scene, I really feel I need to trim mine with black tiles now seeing how good it looks on yours! A real bummer you missed the deadline as this is awesome! -
Simple build, but sometimes simplicity is the most effective philosophy. This looks excellent, and shows how tedious patrolling must be for the Imperials having to cover vast fields of agriculture filled with nothing but vegetables. Best use of the FO turret I have seen to date! The green water is great! To finish the rhyme there's nothing I could find to hate so good job mate!

Awesome trench! I would love to see what you would do with a Hoth scene using that technique! Poor rebel, so many of us were lost in this operation! Great story i'm going to have read through your entire storyline since you have links to them at the top!- 11 replies

[SoNE Ep. XI] A Surprise Interrogation
Forresto replied to Lord Tyrus's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
You may have captured one of us but the Rebellion will fight onwards to freedom! Ouch poor guy! Anyways your interrogation table looks truly horrible, in that it really sells how horrible it would be to be strapped in it Intriguing story, look forward to seeing how this plays out.- 10 replies

Wowza that mesa looks great and the angled landing pad? So many great techniques! The scene looks lively with all of the different characters interacting separately it really feels like the rebels are trying to get off planet quick! Not too schill my own entry but both of our stories are pretty compatible so for me it made the whole thing much cooler. Not that it wasn't already!

[SoNE Ep XI] The Tip of the Force Pike
Forresto replied to LucasLaughing's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Simply fantastic diorama and story! The layers of building and accruements adorning everything really sell that this is a place people actually live. The shot with the swamp speeders, which are beyond excellent in their own right, is a rather striking display of Imperial military might. Urban scenes can be hard to sell in Lego and you managed to do it! I look forward to future MOCs. -
Excellent walker! Reminds me of something that might have been in the Force Unleashed! For some reason the fact it's open back really sells it to me because it seems to be better then an AT-RT but not nearly on the same level as an AT-ST. Great action packed scene and story!
