I think the biggest mistake with Assault on Hoth was simply this. This was the year to come out with updated Hoth battle packs. If there were a Hoth Imperial Battlepack available any concern over the lack of an assault would have dissipated instantly. Motivation to buy the main set would have also immediately increased as one could buy multiple battle packs to create an actual epic sized battle. There was no synergy going on. Because they didn't give us the means to expound upon the UCS besides the meh $25 set, all the main set's mistakes became glaringly apparent. Considering how cheap the book is and the image shows a dissembled trooper I highly doubt that it's a placeholder.

Epicness. The lighting sells alone this whole scene entirely but the build is the icing on the cake!

Ouch. See the problem doesn't seem as egregious for us Americans but it seems like a lot of the world gets gouged. Is there actual reasoning for why prices are so high in some countries, such as shipping or local economies, or is TLG just being a tad greedy? I had a dream last night of a possibly amazing UCS set. What about a UCS Carbon Freezing Chamber? In a similar vein to the current set but much larger and detailed. Possible figures: Darth Vader, 2X Stormtrooper, Luke in Bespin Attire, Updated Lando, Bespin Guard, ESB Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca with C-3PO molded on back, and an Ughnaut.

I finally saw Deadpool. I was expecting very little from this as i've never read the comics, and I'm a big fan of the first Kickass which this reminded me of. However I was pleasantly surprised and found myself really enjoying Deadpool far more then I expected. It's a great movie! However my one issue with the film was perhaps the X-Men. They're inclusion sort of made this feel like a pseudo X-Men movie. Look I like the idea of the Marvel Universe being all connected but I think i've found I prefer it when the film is more stand alone with subtle references or small cameos from the other films. I feel like it may have worked better if they had never outright mentioned the girl's and big silver Russian dude's organization until the end. Sort've how they did Agent Coulson and Nick Fury observing and trying to recruit them for the pre Avengers films. That way comic fans knew what was happening but regular film goers like me didn't have to think about another franchise while trying to enjoy this one, especially as this film is so different then any other MCU film. Nothing would change but there would be an added suspense of who these do gooders are who keep interfering and a nice little end twist. Otherwise loved it!

I was at a local market and was at a jewelry stand. Normally I wouldn't but this time a box of certain plastic figures caught my eye. I immediately walked over and saw all sorts of Marvel and Star Wars Minifigures, mostly ones I don't own (Count Dooku, new yoda, darth maul polybag, New Qui Gon, and many others). I was extremely excited as I've saved up some money from work, set aside for rogue one but i'm willing to dip into it on bargain deals such as these. Surprise surprise much to my disappointment this beautiful array of fantastic and uncommon figures were all refurbished into cufflinks...Cufflinks! Oh the humanity! What cruel person does such an act!

I'm sorry but I read that title wrongly I'm glad my expectations for this thread were proved wrong R5-D4 may be my favorite although I just like that type the most. Regardless all of them are amazing together! Such a cool picture!

So the plot thickens. I feel I have to review the past days to understand what is happening. I dont know who to trust besides Medium Snowman who brought us the head of one of the ultimatio. (My guests departed so im properly free now)

It's still very sad Mako passed on, he had such a brilliant voice and had gave so much energy to every performance he did. I like Greg Baldwin, he's definitely the best alternative I can think of, but he's still not quite Mako. I know that's not fair to Baldwin though

I still think they should just make an imperial blaster and a rebel blaster mold in addition to what we have. That way we have basically three kinds of blaster. The two main factions and neutral (the regular ones we have) I dont think it would be that much more expensive and if they did the two basic soldier molds we would have good army building weapons. Lightsaber molds are much more problematic in comparison. Two new molds for blasters that have infinite uses or lightsabers that show up in one set every now and then? Dont get me wrong I would love unique lightsaber molds and I can see one for Anakain being the most versatile but largely I would prefer the blasters.

You know its small but by goodness you packed this vignette with a lot of nice little details. I feel like i've gotten a really good glimpse of the terrain to imagine what the rest of the scene looks like. Well done, it's hard to capture so much when you give yourself so little space!

I think i've looked at your build seven or so times now and each time I I think i've posted how much I love your build! However I guess I forget to actually post so here we go, I absolutely love the color scheme and you're main character looks awesome! I really like the use of the one stud round tiles as well!

It is a bit barren, definitely could use a little more detail such as rocks to break up the brown, but I like it. What you made you did very well, especially that lava pool!
