I really wished the ATST had an additional minifigure. For instance a second pilot. The only unique part of that figure is face print and goggles printed on the helmet. A second one wouldnt have been too difficult. Oh well still a great set and a definite buy

I really dont mind as I love seeing Star Wars customs always but I thought the idea of the thread was to update SW figures with already existing Lego parts? Otherwise its not so much updating and more altering. Maybe we need to have a thread devoted to SW customs. Im just worried if we did the mods would move it to the minifigure customization forum and not many people who come to this forum would see it. Thats why I dont entirely mind the customs here.

That's because Palpatine is the real villain of the entire PT. Everyone else is a pawn, a minion, a tool. His motivation is unlimited powwwwweeeeeerrrrrr! General Grievous had an extraordinary story line and back story in the EU until the Clone Wars (which otherwise is a pretty great show) completely destroyed him as a character. Still a little bitter over that Count Dooku had Christopher Lee which was awesome and the whole backstory of being a fallen Jedi and formerly Yoda's apprentice was cool, but again they never full explore it. Actually I think the Darth Vader comic series that is now canon finally revealed Palpatine's underlying motivations. He wants immortality. He wants to do what Darth Plageius did but on himself.

In regards to the death star, I just want good minifigures. I'm simply worried after the lackluster figures from the Assault on Hoth set that we'll only get a couple awesome ones and a dozen meh figures. The Hawaii 5-0 reference is a little weak then. If they want to make the reference clearer, as they did so well in the Clone Wars, they should have done it as K2-5O. As yoda once said "so begin the which name is it wars!"

My concern about the Death Star is how quickly antiquated many of the figures from the original became. Or is that just my imagination? Maybe i'm wrong, probably am, as the death star has been around for a while.
