  1. According to everything weve heard it sounds like we're only getting specialized stormtroopers such as the ones pictured several posts above.
  2. Still these are things that annoy me about TLG's move to decreasing mini figure counts in sets. I adore the higher level of quality they make figures now but this leads to a severe underrepresentation in many characters. Connecting this to the Marvel and DC sets Princess Leia is sort've a crucial character to SW. Imagine going years between having a spiderman or batman figure. Or having a set with a scene that spiderman plays a massive role in but there's no spiderman *cough cough* No Leia in Assault on Hoth*cough* My thing is if adding two really cool or important mini figures will make a set cost $10 more, and it's already a $100 set then just do it. I wouldn't mind if that meant we got more characters to flesh out a collection for a nominal price increase. Imagine the UCS Slave 1 for $210 and it came with an additional bespin guard and Lando or just Lando. Its only egregious in a set such as Darth Vader's Tie Advanced vs A-Wing where the price point begged for an additional figure or two to be added. I know we are not entitled anything but it would be nice.
  3. Haha nicely done! It works that theyre in lego since thats about as slow as the Gorn Captain's puches!
  4. Wow just wow! You've made these spot on! I cant believe I missed these when you originally posted them. The solution for the warp coil and schematic table are perfect and very cool to see in brickform. Your use of those Lego black computer slope bricks are the best i've seen short of decals.
  5. Wow that looks spot on! Thank you so much for making this in lego form, its very enjoyable to look at!
  6. At least they have figures. Ponda Baba is perhaps one of the most iconic OT aliens and he's never even gotten a figure. Agreed. He's only in two sets right?
  7. Whoa! Well I heard rumors saying Thrawn was returning! I think Filoni is a big fan of Heir to the Empire and Thrawn as well. In a behind the scenes for Storm Over Ryloth (First season of TCW) he said he took Ashoka's strategy for beating the separatists straight from a similar maneuver Thrawn made in the books. With the opening episodes being kept a close secret I wonder if the first two are going to be based around Thrawn in the same way they brought Vader and Tarkin in to be badasses.
  8. Season 3 is coming to Celebration Europe! Link
  9. It's not that we're trying to be haters on the haters. The opinions of those who disliked the movie are valid and if listened to (at least the rational ones like you Nom Carver) improvements could be made to make the next movie one even better. However not everyone who hates the movie are polite and unfortunately on the internet there is a strong contingent of haters that are so vocal and kinda nasty that it makes everyone who dislikes the movie look awful. These people will always exist so you're right we should not label and shove those with a dissenting opinion in with the extreme actual crazy people. That's certainly not fair to do. That being said let me rebutt a couple of your points that are shown in movie, although not all of them are arguments as many are just difference of opinion and totally valid either way. 1) The First Order placed a large bounty on the BB8 unit, and they seem to have tons of money and exert a significant influence on a galactic scale. Apologies for the weird analogy but when the US was hunting down Bin Laden, most people in the world knew or heard about it. Bounty hunters and criminals like that would live for the opportunity to capture something of that value, and it's implied capturing BB8 would make them quite wealthy so of course they would all know. 3) Fair enough. However it is a spaceship and a freighter like the Falcon would be designed to take a lot of damage. What I hated was where it almost fell off the cliff, i'm tired of that scene being in every action film. 4) The theory is he was programmed to wake up in the presence of a Skywalker, specifically Luke's child. Again though that is a plothole until they do or do not explain it in the next movie. 5) I didn't mind them, that's just me though. My favorite aspect of SW is that in each movie there is the scene with strange monsters. If that scene had not been in there they would have broken a long SW tradition of having that scene. 6) Luke with no training except for some advice used the force to make an impossible shot on the DS. Watch the movie and you'll see Rey is never that good at anything she does, just adequate. Her whole duel with Kylo Ren she's running for her life. She in fact loses until she's reminded of the force. That moment of overwhelming Kylo is no different then Luke making the DS shot without training, it was just a moment where she realized her power with the force. 7) Personally I love that aspect of the film. Everyone except for the old guard (Akbar, Nien Nub, Leia, Solo, Chewie, etc..) all are playing hero and villain. Just like younger kids today know about the OT but not in the way we older fans do. Everyone sort've stinks in this movie and that's amazing. The First Order, the resistance, all of the young people are trying to emulate the glories of the past generation (the OT) and while better equipped are not as good. In regards to specifically Kylo Ren, he hasn't been trained yet. He has more experience then Rey but remember the only people he's ever fought in years are non force users and people who don't wield lightsabers. Like I said he still beats Rey in the final fight, and he's not even going all out because remember he doesn't want to kill or injure her. It's just he's not as strong in the force as Rey is. We won't know why until the next films but it's probably because she's the true inheritor of her grandfather's power and not Kylo.
  10. Thank you! I can't wait to see the three figures in Lego form! Would love to see a battle pack with 1X tank driver, 2 X Shore troopers, 1 X Death trooper
  11. Write the word. Then highlight it. click the link icon that you use to attach the link with the word still highlighted. Then put the link in the pop up window as you normally would, click ok. Then it should work! That looks a lot better. No side printing. Another way Lego cutback on the latest Hoth sets.
  12. I'm the plebe still planning on playing it on the PS3 I hope its not cut back much for that version. Does anyone know how much the season pass is going to cost? I tried to find it but couldn't anywhere.
  13. Always start with the oldest I think because the older ones are slower paced and its much easier to start of slow and work your way up to faster paced movies then the other way. My goal is to kind've expose my kids to Star Wars the way I was. Start off with 4, 5, and 6 and only let them watch those until they're in elementary school. Then i'll let them watch the prequels and the sequel trilogy after that. Then in junior high or high school we can do marathon of watching them all in order. 1,2,3 Han Solo, Rogue One, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Good lord that's a lot of star wars.
  14. Ahh the question is will Lego give Director Krennic the correct pants? After all his uniform is of the same cut and style as Yularen. White tunic, black pants. #GiveKrennicTheRightPants I've heard mention in the past that Lego bases their designs off of concept art. Is this true?
  15. Same here, I have fond memories of the VHS box that was gold with an engraved Vader on the side!
  16. Brothers Brick posted a review of 75150 Vader's TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter
  17. Well JJ Abrams did something very smart and its the same thing he did with the Star Trek movies and that got a lot of fan hate the same way TFA is getting (Which as a self professed mega trekkie I adore those movies). He retold the original in a new way to make sure that people knew that the franchises direction is going more old school and less prequel era and to reintroduce the movie to the younger generations. I'm not sure that a lot of kids today have seen the original films and if they have at least not in the way most of us on here probably experienced it. I think our generation of SW fans, 20's and up are the last group to as a majority have watched the originals in a time where that was the only SW that existed. Sure we would have grown up on the prequels being our movie theatre SW experience but we still enjoyed the originals. I know at least in my experience the originals were the only ones my family owned for much of my childhood. When I went to TFA opening day with my best friend we brought his little brother who had never seen the originals, just the prequels so we were explaining to him what happened in the OT. After seeing the Force Awakens he got really excited and wanted to watch a New Hope so I lent them the DVD and apparently he loved it. I think TFA did a lot to draw an interest amongst newer fans to the older movies more so then the prequels did. Let's also not forget internationally not everyone grew up on Star Wars either such as China. I wouldn't worry about the haters. As a trekkie i've felt like i've been in the trenches of nerdy arguments for the past five years because i'm on the side of the fanbase that loves the new movies. The same goes for The Force Awakens. Here is my number one complaint about the Force Awakens that I didn't have until I looked through the art book that had so many fantastic interesting designs. The locations they went to such as planets and buildings and stuff were cool but nothing to write home about. Jakku only felt interesting because of the ship graveyard, which was a total nostalgia fest. Takdonna because of Maz Kanata's castle with all the cool crazy aliens. Starkiller Base, not because of how it looked as a planet but when you realize holy carp this is a massive space station capable of blowing up multiple planets. Where are the Felucias and Dagobahs where the planet's themselves are full of character and not just backdrops? (apologies if this doesn't read well, I have a cold right now )
  18. In regards to free builds, if we make more then four are we allowed to choose which ones we want judged? I don't plan on congesting the forum with dozens of free builds, or do I? I joke, but I might do two extra for story cohesion to explain why my character is where he is that I don't know if i necessarily want judged. If not that's cool too I just want to make sure i'm following the rules.
  19. Don't give up hope yet, there could be. However if they follow the trend of the Force Awakens sets I wouldn't count on these sets being useful for army building unless you're prepared to buy multiple copies of sets for stacks of money. Fingers crossed Rogue One isn't simply limited to the Fall and continues on beyond to spring 2017 with battle packs and the like.
  20. Really? Oh well. Thanks for telling me i'll remove it.
  21. Well just for the convenience of those who may not have been reading the thread RONYSTEVEN's list is as of now unreliable. However Just2Good's information seems to be the most up to date we have, you can find those posts two pages back. Based off of the recent SW Celebration Europe 2016 poster, as much as my opinion on the AT-ACT has changed around (I can totally see them as cargo transports and love them) I still don't see them lending themselves to Lego. The closest colors would be mostly dark grey hull with large bright orange rectangles. SW Celebration Europe 2016 Poster Of any of the large vehicles we have seen so far the Imperial Shuttle thingamabob probably is the best suited to being scaled down in a similar manor to the FO transport last fall.
  22. Im very curious to see how Lego is going to pull the large imperial shuttle off. Its a pretty cool design and I could see it looking very cool in lego. Even if its smaller I hope it at least stays proportional. Where on earth did that come from? You are writing this on the Internet on a forum exclusively to Lego and AFoLs of course everything on here is a first world problem. I suppose that is the fallacy of relative privation. Im fairly certain your arguement collapses in on itself as there is always someone who has a worse life. Plus you make a lot of assumptions about other peoples lives.
  23. Well we can only hope for battle packs. Were the figures prototypes or were they finalized? And if so how do you feel they compared to the high quality of the Force Awakens figures? I wonder if Jyn will really be as central a character as they have made her out to be or if the movie will focus on her but really be more of an ensemble piece.
