  1. I may hold out on buying any of the first wave Rogue One sets until after we get leaked pictures on January's wave.
  2. I see what you did there
  3. The closest they ever got to D&D were those board game sets, heroica or something? I never played them so I assume theyre very different but they do remind me of them.
  4. I would actually be okay with that. The ground crew is a cool mold. Still though i'd be a little incredulous they refuse to let us have OT stormies cheap. For me it's the hull that looks bd, the wing placement is cool for me. The weird bubble sausage doesn't look that great.
  5. Overall this is an excellent wave with some pretty awesome sets! However I do have some problems. -Imperial hovor tank is great although a little barebones. Some cool techniques and good figures. -The AT-ST is alright, the head is awesome but the legs look awful. 3 figures for a forty dollar set though? Really? They could've thrown in a second pilot especially considering the print or mold are fairly common. -I abhor the tie striker design now that i've seen the set. It's not Lego's fault but to me that is a really ugly tie variant when there were so many awesome ones in the EU. Hopefully it looks better on screen. -The U-Wing is overall pretty great and lots of interesting figures. The carrier part is a bit boxy though. -For me ironically the best looking set is the shuttle although I hate that it's all black. It would have been a must have if it were in white or grey. This set also has the best mini figure variety. I really hope we see an Imperial Battle pack with shore troopers and death troopers. What I think we'll get is 1 OT stormtrooper, 1 shore trooper, 1 tank trooper, and 1 death trooper.
  6. I always viewed the jedi in the prequels as being the product of centuries of unchallenged (and unchecked) power and influence. With the threat of the Sith gone there was no legitimate threat to the order so all the Jedi would have to do is maintain their position in the galaxy. To me the Jedi Order had peaked many centuries prior to the Phantom Menace and as a result plateaued and stagnated. With no external threat and no significant internal threat that we know of, the jedi of course would get lazy and rigid.
  7. I concur and in this case it's been nearly a month with no right answer.
  8. If you ever get a chance and your a fan of the books, watch the extended editions of the Lord of the Rings Movies. Even if your not a fan of the books, if you like the movies watch the extended editions. They add a lot of flavor to already fantastic movies.
  9. Any Armada players on here? Theres a sale on amazon and I just decided to get into the game. I prefer the big ships so I decided to not go with X-Wing. The game looks complicated, ive never played this kindve strategy game but im excited to learn. The models are fantastic.
  10. How sturdy is the head? I might use mine for more then display and If the head is strong I may only build that and then some legs to go with it.
  11. If stormies have hip printing I hope it matches with the current OT stormies torso print so we can retroactively update our armies of battle damaged ones.
  12. Those hands and finger nails...gahhh!
  13. This is beyond fantastic! Your builds are always so awesome, and I always nerd out looking at all the details you include! Beyond well done!
  14. Alden Ehrenreich has signed on for three Han Solo movies.... I'm sensing Disney has seen how successful Star Trek was with casting the new movies and thought, hey if they can do that with Captain Kirk why not Han Solo? While it works for Star Trek because they got incredibly lucky with their casting (Any complaint about nutrek aside, the cast is excellent!) i'm a little more worried about Han.
  15. I live in the Chesapeake Bay region, US east coast and I have not seen any of the new series yet. Does anyone know how common hikers are? I want to outlit rebel troopers with his pants. Oh my god the symbol in the penguin loop is rather unfortunate....Who would have thought adding a simple stud onto the back of a lego penguin could do that. The swastika is even the facist direction and not the buddhist way
  16. The lava looks awesome as does the terrain! An excellent rendition of Mustafar, well done! However I would like to third the steeper hill suggestion because as it stands Obi Wan and Anakin feel basically on the same level. "Anakin don't try it! I have the...slightly higher ground!" Changes the scene a little
  17. Star Trek Beyond a second time. Loved it!
  18. Well the show runner also did Hannibal which may be one the highest quality television shows in regards to production so I have high hopes. Hes written for Star Trek before and the fact the show is called Discovery gives me hope. Still im not digging that ship design, its okay. I like that theyre trying to do something different but it looks so drastically different to any other starfleet vessel.
  19. Doctor Strange seems to be the most artistic of the Marvel films so i'm definitely in! I get an Inception vibe from it. I'm curious how surreal they will go with it? I hope they just go nuts with the MC Escher wackiness, this would be the movie to do it in.
  20. The recent dimensions Gremlins pack shows extensive printing on faun style legs. Hopefully we see similar dedication to accuracy and printing with a pair for Zeb next time we get him as a figure!
  21. Does Bricks and Pkeces still operate in the same way.
  22. Im not going to lie when j saw the thread title I did a double take. Sti that figure is pretty good wven if its Jar Jar
  23. Ahh the Rebel Frigate, the set that keeps on giving questions for Lego Pricing. I could buy the set being a little underwhelming for the price point jf the minifigures werent as lackluster as they are. No dual molding, no correct skin tone for Ezra, and still the wrong uniform for Kallus. Sato is way too simplistic to be that interesting. Besides Ashoka its a poor showing.
  24. Good let the hate flow through you Columbus :P Actually in terms of world building and introducing new designs the prequels are perhaps the best in the franchise. Okay the CGI isnt great now but at the time they were cutting edge and without them paving the way how might the Force Awakens look? Writing is not the best but the story was awesome. They did more to expand SW positively then they did to bring it down I think and thats whats important. Just because the prequels are bad doesnt mean people will suddenly hate the OT.
