  1. I'm unconvinced that Mr. Schauer is scum however we need to vote someone off. There's very little evidence but with no clear person in danger of being mob killed I will cast my temporary vote. Vote: Clifford Schauer (LegoMonorailFan) I'm prepared to change as the day goes on.
  2. Incredible Cross Sections for the Last Jedi. All of the cross section books are fantastic, couldn't recommend them enough!
  3. Has any of the citizenry not yet massed here with the rest of the angry mob?
  4. That sounds awesome! Now I suppose my other question is do our characters transition over or will we be making new characters?
  5. Keep with the times pops its called instasnapgrambook....you know the one with the blue bird logo.
  6. I would just like wood. Is it so hard for a man to get some woof in this town?
  7. How much for a log or two? We need to make a new distillery in the back lot- er I mean we need to make new counters and stools for the store...heh heh no illegal booze operations here
  8. He's literally the immaculate conception. There is no set up for Anakin's power other then that the force willed it, spoken by Qui Gon Jin on screen in the Phantom Menace which is the exact same thing with Rey. Snoke says as much "Darkness rises and the light to meet it." I enjoy the world of the Force Awakens and the characters, I just don't think it built its world enough. What's the political situation of the galaxy? I don't need twenty minute prequel-esque discussions but I need at least a two minute scene to give some significant clues. I'm very immersed in the new canon so I wasn't confused at the state of the galaxy in the Last Jedi one bit but I should'nt need to read comics and books to get the gist of things. However I respect that you love the film and I don't hate it in the least. However JJ never intended to answer any of the questions he asked so I think its unfair then to blame The Last Jedi for doing its own thing when that's all it could do. There was no direction moving forward. What's disappointing about Snoke isnt that his background isn't explained, its that he was never given a background in TFA other then enigmatic fascist leader.
  9. Glad I only ever got six troopers. I actually prefer the new design, if you don't focus your eyes you can see the illusion they're trying to create with the nose/middle faceplate more layered over the the upside down black V grill. The old one feels cubby and unrefined if that makes any sense. @BacktoBricks Thanks!
  10. My grandfather always warned me about the Bellagios ever since as teenagers the Bellagio boys stole candy from the shop, candy liqueur that is.
  11. News update since I last responded yesterday from the new Darth Vader comic. Jucosta Nu (the jedi librarian from Attack of the Clones) tells Vader its impossible to snuff out the light side of the force as the force will find a vessel. Basically like the Avatar in the Avatar the Last Airbender series. This would imply that in the galaxy you can never wipe out the light or dark side as its implied if the dark side is wiped out then the force will raise up a darksider. Its basically the Star Wars version of the conservation of energy. Rey is powerful because the force determined that she is the balance to Kylo while Luke was the balance to Snoke. She was just fortunate an inciting incident happened at her planet. You have a problem with some boulders? Anakin survived pod races that kills most sentients, builds fully operational droids that are sentient I might add, and is one of the galaxy's best pilots at the age of ten blowing up a massive flagship while he's a slave with zero support and training. 100% Canon. His whole story is how he's meant to be overpowered as all heck. Anakin is a war hero because he constantly won battles no one else could win. The Last Jedi addresses how much better Kylo is at everything. She can't even pull a lightsaber out of his force pull, demonstrating that he can match her strength. She kills a few guards? She was fighting them one at a time while Kylo was taking on three at once and still kicking their butts. The reason he lost their duel in the Force Awakens, which is addressed by both films, is that Kylo is unbalanced and unfocused. He's fully capable of squashing Rey but his lack of focus, arrogance, and desire to turn Rey to the darkside (and not fight to kill) was a disadvantage against Rey who knows precisely what she is and can strike without conflict. Kylo is arrogant in the first movie, and as a massive Imperial fan myself, I hate to say it but that's the one theme for the Empire and their equivalent organizations that leads to their downfalls. ~ I disagree that Rian Johnson threw everything that the Force Awakens set up because JJ Abrams set everything up with no answers precisely so the next director could write what they want. All of those mystery in the Force Awakens aren't real. They never had answers. I cant convince you to go see the next trilogy film nor do I particularly care to, do you. I love the Last Jedi because it did its own thing rather then Empire Strikes Back 2.0. I don't really like the Force Awakens and TLJ has made it so JJ can't just do Return of the Jedi 2.0. For the first time in a long (long) time Star Wars is open to something entirely new and different, and that potential is exciting!
  12. Wow i've been out a good while Oh well, life happens. So I thought I read briefly that this part of SoNE is coming to a conclusion and we're transitioning into the New Republic era? Is that correct? Is the war ending at Endor or will we be building towards Jakku next?
  13. Really? Now that's fascinating. I hope there are pictures. The Executioner face prints are kind've strange.
  14. Upon a fourth viewing of the Last Jedi you realize that while it may seems like there was an over subverting of expectations, the script foreshadows a lot of what happens at the end Sure but every movie introduces a new force ability or two, at least the movies of any significance. Heck we did'nt know force lightning was a thing until Return of the Jedi, and even then not until the very end of the film. At least the Last Jedi foreshadowed all of the later force abilities earlier in the film. What Luke did was what Snoke did earlier with Kylo and Rey. When the emperor electrocutes Luke its a total WTF moment, at least prior to the EU and prequels making the force lighting synonymous with the dark side and not unique to Sideous. As for Darth Bane we don't know much about him in canon but he's an extremely popular EU character. The reason I bring him up is because his story shares a lot of similarities to Rey's. He was also overpowered as heck before he received even a lick of training. I brought him up not to deflect your point, but to demonstrate Rey isn't an anomaly. Rey I don't think is a jedi in the sense that she's finished her training more as she has everything she needs to teach herself from here on out. Which I may point out is what happened to Luke in-between a New Hope and Empire, and in the months between Empire and Return of the Jedi. Luke barely gets much formal training.
  15. Dez Hunter here. As a small business owner its bad enough i'm being crushed financially by the big wheelers and dealers up North, so i'd like to pipe up and say I'm displeased, yes very displeased I must now be wary of being crushed by the mafioso as well. It's bad enough what prohibition has done to honest purveyors of liqueurs like myself. The law enforcement need to step up and do their jobs.
  16. I'm in! 1) yes. 2) I'm hehere to stay. 3) As long as the book is thrown at the perp, and by book I mean Crime & Punishment. That's a long book and I imagine would hurt bit.
  17. Snoke got bested by his own arrogance. Luke used an ability that essentially killed him due to the exertion. Kylo hasn't done anything that extraordinary considering he killed an entire generation of Jedi. Rey is the only puzzle but I hold that she was on Ach-To for at least a week. She also isn't that overpowered as people claim. Take Darth Bane that dude had next to no training when he was doing far more stuff with the Force then she ever has.
  18. In what way? Rey and Kylo got the snozz beaten out of them by Snoke. Snoke and Luke an Yoda are at this point far past the top masters we see in the prequels and the only ones with amazing force powers. Also people keep glossing over that force astral projection is an old ability from the EU that Luke used in Dark Empire.
  19. I might be blind but i'm not seeing the new Stormtrooper helmet mold. The Mimban Trooper definitely is specialized so it makes sense it would be slightly different, as Mimban is a muddy, swampy planet. However the patrol troopers don't seem to have a mold that exceptionally different then what we currently have?
  20. The Stormtrooper in the tie is most likely a specialist as it has helmet plate similar to the FO Pilots on the forehead. I can't tell if the battlepack stormtrooper like troopers have a new stormtrooper mold or not. Could be.
  21. EDIT: Officer in BP has regular printing. The best thing is we now have a lieutenant rank officer. That style astromech is extremely similar to one I did for Nar Eurbrikka but never posted. Those tattered Imperial uniforms will be brilliant for Imperial collectors.
  22. If we're making suggestions I'd clamor for the Tie Bomber. Lego hasn't produced one in years, we have an updated Tie Advanced already, and its a somewhat underloved canon Tie in MOCs. It'd also serve as a threefer since the Tie Bomber, Tie Shuttle, and Tie Boarding Craft all share the exact same exterior design.
  23. In what way is it actually a failure? Its the second highest grossing Star Wars film. Even if you adjust for inflation it made far more then Rogue One, and all it had to do was make at least as much as RO to show success by preventing a downward trend. It absolutely panned out for Disney. Half the people didn't like it? Where did you get that statistic from? Can you please cite sources because if you're going to make such a broad sweeping statement you ought to have something to back it up. Especially if you're veiling them under the guise of facts. ~ If I sound a bit snippy its because I am. My problem with the Last Jedi Divisiveness has nothing to do with people disliking the film, man if we all thought the same we'd still be living in caves. Disagreement and divergent ideas are brilliant (as long as you know they aren't harming other people). Its the extreme manner in which it has been done with total disregard to those who may have found joy in it. Such as this. Its not enough to simply dislike the film, you have to say its a failure? That's like the people who say it ruined Star Wars or Star Wars is dead. I'm not going to say most people loved or even liked it because theres no way of knowing just as there is no way to know the reverse. However in my personal, anecdotal, experience most people I know who saw it loved it or enjoyed it. That does not give me evidence that is the great majority's opinion, but merely illustrates the opinions of those in my sphere. EDIT: Much of this isn't directed at you. Its just impossible to go anywhere on the internet without being able to say "I love the Last Jedi" and not be responded to with angry comments.
  24. Beautiful model! I saw the video last night and was blown away and I still am. Not that you would really ever want to, nor risk it, but is the ship at all swooshable?
  25. I have bought the pieces and the instructions and cannot wait to build one of your Tie Fighters. I was waiting to see what Lego would show us with their Tie Fighter in the Han Solo line up and while there's is alright for a commercial ship i'd rather spend more to get an aesthetically pleasing model.
