What a wonderful idea for a set and well executed to boot! The vibrant colors and 60s styles of the movie (is that when the movie released?) fit lego so well here especially in the way you built this. You should definitely put it on Lego Ideas. I love all the minifigures and blueberry violet is pretty clever too. My one and only qualm is Willy Wonka's face doesnt seem to fit his personality. The current face looks a little too 1950s gumshoe.

Perfect vignette of that scene. You captured it very well!

It looks great! If only there was a cheaper way to get more first order stormies but I think think this as large as any of us can do right now until a few years from now when we accumulate more of these stormtroopers over the course of the new trilogy. Good job man!

"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
Forresto replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks guys. Im going to have to try your technique Chupa. One last question thats probably been asked, how much force did it take to get the printing off? Does the brasso work quickly or did it take a lot of effort? I dont mind putting the work in but if I cant find waterproof tape, most of my nearby hardware stores have closed down, I may try living life on the edge and not use any or maybe just regular tape. -
Mad Max: Pit of Carkoon. I actually feel like Mad Max Star Wars would make an awesome contest for the forum. I hope youve seen the recent movie because you're to get a lot of references to it lol

I remember there was a thread on this a few years ago and if memory serves me I dont think you can remove the head and use it as a regular one. I think many tried at the time especially because of Mace Windu only being available in light up form. If theres a way to, I have never heard of it. -
Such a beautiful MOC! I never cared much for either the snowspeder or the lego first order snowtroopers until this. You make both look very appealing! Why isnt Lego paying you a commission? Because it sounds like youve convinced a lot of people to buy their set of this, if only to make you version of it.

Am I the only one who is basically only buying battle packs now? I got the First Order Dropship (no regrets) but with the outrageous prices for most sets I would rather buy 10 battlepacks and get 30 minifigures for $130 then a normal $130 set which may not be well constructed and have only four or five minis in it. Ive found myself buying minifigures and parts from sets on bricklink or ebay to be more consumer friendly. Even the microfighters are in my opinion overpriced when the accompanying minifigure isnt that special (ATDP pilot, Chewbacca, ATAT pilot, Rebel Pilot). If we are talking one with a new or hardly used mold like the Ghost one, undersrandable but the others should include at least 2 minifigures if its going to cost that much. I dont mean to complain or whinge lol because I know AFOLs have it much worse for pricing in other parts of the world, plus this is a very first world issue but ive been highly dissatisfied with recent cost of regular sets.

I doubt it since it seems like the Knights of ren are supposed to be young at about Kylo, Rey and Finn's age. If im not mistaken theyre fallen jedi apprentices from Luke's new failed jedi order Kylo Ren corrupted.

Supposedly what happened to him is actually fairly accurate to what really happened. The reason he survived the bear wounds initially was because he put maggots in the wounds. If they shortened it they would lose sort of the theme of the movie. He was far away from civilization in the wilderness trying to make it home on foot while wounded.the point of making it as slow as they did was to show to the audience how long it took tk get places even if its oy a mountain between you and your dedtination. If they took out an hour of the film the scenes where he finally makes it back and theres the hunt wouldnt be as effective imo

If you dont mind me asking you posted a pcture of what you used including but I couldnt identify the larger tool. What is it? -
I had hoped the rumors of a Sauron pack were true but this list kindve shatters those apart.

Worst Movie: A Talking Cat? (Frozen is a close second.) I heard about this on a podcast (Cox 'n Crendor in the Morning) and tried to watch it on netflix. I underestimated the capabilities of our species in being able to make a movie this bad. Worst of all the cat, which is where the movie gets it's name, only talks three times over the course of a good hour and a half. Worst Game: Resistance: Fall of Man Technically not a bad game and it has a really interesting concept (an alien invasion set within the backdrop of World War 2), but I bought it when the game was at least 8 years old and it did not age well. It might also be I don't gel with the game mechanics either. I just remember I was very excited to play it because of the story but I was left severely disappointed which is why I consider it my least favorite game. Worst Song: Let it Go youtube it. Just do it and you decide if in some strange series of events you have not heard that awful song by now. If you love it, cool your welcome lol, but if you hate it, my sincere apologies if it was I who convinced you to listen to it

It is awesome you enjoy it! I don't hate it but as a big EU fan I can't watch it without feeling very frustrated because of how much former canon is being rewritten. That leads to me feeling silly at getting so annoyed about changes in a fictional universe. If Thrawn comes back and they do him justice I will watch that episode in a heartbeat. IF Rebels makes Thrawn, my single favorite EU character, canon again I will never say a bad thing about the show again lol

What a neat ship! I love the use of the Alpha Team mech suits in connecting the pod to the main ship. The way you blended the engines is also superb. All around fantastic job! Maybe if you layer the radar dish with a larger one and then a smaller one inside it? Sort of like what TLG does for the Rebel Anti Vehicle turrets in the recent hoth sets.

Haha wow. That actually reminds me of Dengar from the Robot Chicken Specials:

General Magma's LOTR Figures
Forresto replied to General Magma's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I love your Rohirrim Soldiers a lot especially the first batch. The guy with the goldish brown chainmail hood is epic. I like your orcs and I love the crazy weapons you've made for them. I think, and I know it's difficult due to parts available, that the orcs are looking a little too diverse if that makes any sense. There's not as much cohesion which makes a certain amount of sense as they are orcs, but the variety doesn't seem to have as much cohesion. Maybe if you gave the groups more unifying features it could help, but that's only if you feel you should. Otherwise they're all epic. -
Wow these are great especially the second age Gondorian helmet. I would have loved seeing an entire army of them. I will TLG credit in that they did an impeccable job creating new pics for the theme but there were a few molds Lego should've made including Sauron and these two helmets. Through your hard work we get to see probably the closest we'll ever get to these second age helmets. Great job

I just realized that in the London Fair pictures of the set with the black and red color scheme it looks like we're getting a new Dengar miniature woot woot.

The colors admittedly clash a bit. Perhaps Orange, light grey, and dark gray would be the best way to go and ditch the tan. I'm going to toy around with this thanks guys Wow that's getting close to a decade ago. Well it was about time there was a MOC of this. I'm going to rework the details of the tank and i'll try to smooth out some of the bits if it fits in. lol I just hope I have enough orange tiles.

speaking on the subject of yellowing bricks does anyone know if that effect on bricks can be removed or are at least reversed a bit? I have a lot of old yellow grey pieces so is it possible to change that? I remember reading something about oxi-clean years ago but can't seem to find the article. The same is true with mini figures especially the mostly white ones like stormtroopers, but I don't want to mess up their printing. Thanks -
Wait what about a B-Wing? I remember in a trailer they were introducing the B Wing to the series. Maybe Ashoka will be in that? Otherwise a blockade runner or the rebel flagship (It looks like a clone wars era medical frigate) would be ideal.
-
I don't really watch rebels all that much, are there any guesses as to what she might be in? Major ships or plot points lego hasn't made into lego yet?

This is an vehicle I made for the Rebel Alliance when I realized that the poor rebels had very few ground vehicles in comparison to their Imperial rivals. I imagine the Rebels prefer to fight more guerrilla style in cohesive experienced teams and therefore would need a support vehicle that could traverse many forms of terrain. That was when I found the remains of a Russian Jeep from the 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull set. The base vehicle worked especially since many of the weapons, costumes, and even vehicles in Star Wars are based off of world war 2 designs which the Russian Jeep was supposed to be from. This new rebel vehicle which I have dubbed the T-4A Support Tank is often deployed in squadrons of 3 and are capable of carrying up to 6 infantryman. It's single light cannon can pose a serious threat to infantry and most natural and moderate artificial defense. A single tank however lacks the power to penetrate most Imperial Vehicle's armor/shields and must rely on taking out enemy targets in squadrons of other T-4A Tanks. The T-4A compensates for it's light armor with it's quick speed and powerful engine, especially for a vehicle of it's size. Driving into the ambush. On patrol. Infantry can hold onto the sides of the tank when moving through rugged, aquatic, or otherwise treacherous terrain. So in the last month i've emerged from a long dark age and came back to building again after maybe four years or so. This was mostly sparked by the release of the Force Awakens which has gotten me interested in Star Wars again big time. Maybe a week ago I was playing one of the best Star Wars games ever made Empire at War and I realized how amazing a lot of the vehicles designed for the game were. I was more amazed at the lack of MOCs based on many of the pretty interesting designed tanks in the game including my personal favorite the T2-B Repulser Tank. Now this MOC is meant to be mostly accurate to the original design but more in a Lego system scale interpretation of it. I tried to balance the look of the vehicle with accuracy and I think I found a good spot. I am of course open to suggestions and will probably at some point go back and make this MOC more faithful to the original. Stolen with several shipments meant for the Galactic Empire from Yutrane-Trackata Manufacturing, the T-2B Repulser Tank served as an anti infantry vehicle in the Rebel and later Galactic Alliance. Often used during the Galactic Civil War as a counter to Imperial AT-ST walkers, due to the small numbers available to Alliance Command the T-2B Tank had minimal service before the destruction of the Second Death Star. Equipped with Deflector Shields and Repulsorlift the T-2B was invaluable as a support vehicle due to it's versatile mobility and auxiliary defensive systems. Driver and attached Alliance squad. The Imperial and Alliance anti-infantry workhorses square off. Thank you for viewing If you want to see more pictures of this and more MOCs that eventually will make there way here please look at my new Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/139994654@N08/
