  1. I was planning to go to Finnland next summer, but I might reconsider and go to Sweden instead ...
  2. Funny how tastes differ. Whereas you collect as many troops as possible, I try to get as many civilians as possible ... Nice Collection though. The only thing I'd nitpick on are the red and blue coat torsos, they don't really fit the topic
  3. I' d like to enter but i got all my bricks stuck in thorshaven ...
  4. so what happened to sebeus?
  5. This is actually looking pretty good. And although one can clearly see the "DC-DNA" its got enough character of its own. Time for you to join the guilds of Historica I'd say!
  6. hey guys, thanks for the feedback @Nightstalker: being part of this community helps tremendously to improve one's style @Yooha: Well, once again it wasn't me who came up with the color sceme: @Gideon and Soccerkid: That's exactly how I did it! @Z: higer angles would show that the modules aren't 100% done yet, so I'll post them once I'm done with the whole project!
  7. Hey there, I managed to finish module 3. It's not as spectacular as the others, but it's important in order to connect other modules to it. So see yourself: The harbor master's house: a small harbor crane: a ship from Kaliphlin has arrived: modules 2 and 3 connected:
  8. in case anybody was wondering: both cities are free cities within Mitgardia, that's why the colors are reversed!
  9. wow, brilliant indoor scene. Awesome furniture!
  10. My sigils are done, have fun formating Stoneroda: Motto: Non est Vita ante Portas Moc: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=490810 Thorshaven: Motto: Adest Tempus Navigandi! Mocs:
  11. congrats eccs, I bow before you!
  12. well, my sons are 7 and 4 by now and I have them play with my mocs or I build stuff for them to play with. It's 3 vs.1 now! So guys, this is the best way to get your wifes to accept this crazy hobby of ours!
  13. Nice clean look, great usage of color in short: great moc as always!
  14. Great looking tree and nice treehouse. One minor detail to keep in mind though: the medium green your are using is the green of Mitgardia!
  15. @dm: I will do that for thorshaven and stoneroda, helgestorp is only a tiny village
  16. My mitgardian cities are rather democratic and have elected mayors more or less independent from the overlords
  17. Dude, i was off for a week, so sorry to hear about your family. I told my wife that other guys my age buy old cars, she accepted that
  18. man, my dsl was down for a week, now I'm back. Did I miss anything important?
  19. So Soccerkid, what's happened to you? It's been more than a week without a new moc from you. Are you sick?
  20. Ska, I think you'd make an awesome Kaliphlin leader!!
  21. Hey Ska, very good comment. I was about to write something similar but was not getting the right words. So in short, I really would like both Z and CBB to stay here and work things out peacefully!
  22. interesting build, I do wonder though, where do Avalonia and Nocturnus actually meet? I would have thought that either Kaliphlin or Mitgardia would be in between ...
  23. Only half true. There are distinct styles in half timber structures that vary from region to region. As Scandinavia and Germany were mere united than devided by the Baltic Sea (and parts of Northern Germany even belongend to the Swedish Empire for a while) the style of architecture looks rather similar. On the other hand, there is a clear line in Germany that in many ways differenciates the North from the South. Be it language (I can't understand most southern dialects, but have no problem with the northern ones), beverages (wine vs. beer), food (noodles vs. potatos), religion (protestant vs. catholic) and half timber architecture. So as we said in the beginning of GoH that we refer to late middles ages (ca. 1450) the Hanseatic League always served as my role model for southern Mitgardia and that's how I came up with the red colored plate technique in the first place. And that's also why I started getting into Medieval ships and such. So most of what I've freebuild for GoH so far centers around this idea. Anyway, there are more modules to come, and you'll see what I mean.
