RESULTS INCLUDED: Book II- Challenge 1- The Battle for Nocturnus.

Alright, I'll change that too, thanks! -
The Spanish soldiers are actually rather 16th century whereas CBB's tutorial is more 18th/early 19th century. So if you want to build something for these Spanish guys you should focus on a caravel or carack which is doable with two midsections. For example Columbus' Santa Maria (a carrack) wasn't any longer than 25/26 meters and had a width/lenght ratio of more or less 1/3. She's actually what I based the carrack on you can find in my signature. However, it does follow CBB's tutorial as well!

Thanks for the nice comments guys! For some reason I have to dislplay drunk minifigures everyonce in a while, no clue why that is ... @sin: Actually, I didn't want to post the car on its own, that's why I build a little dio around it. Glad it works as a whole scene. @lt: Not quite sure what you mean. It sounds funny though!

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
kabel replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Mitgardians! Say tuned, there will be something interesting in the pipeline for you next week! -
The Seahawks have never won anything in the Kingdome. It was bulldozed in 1999 after Paul Allen had taken over the club's ownership and the citizens of Seattle had agreed in a referendum to raise taxes to pay for a new one. So basicly the stadium belongs to the citizens. (Wich is why I refuse to call it it's official name). So yes, with the new stadium the Hawks started winning.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
kabel replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
If you were Kaliphlin, this would be acceptable behaviour. But we Northerners are actually rather stubborn, ignorant and prefer to stick to ourselves! -
Okay, I'll start a new thread then to seperate the index from discussing new ideas. Oh boy, I'm so glad I found something else to continue procrastinating ...

Well, there are challenges happening (one's just ended) and all you need to do is to participate and enter a (or even three) moc to the competion. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

On the aom scorecard. It hasn't been updated in a while though -
I wouln't stick it itself but add the link to this thread if Z or Eccs allow.

I could think of this to look somewhat similar to my medieval ship index, just linked to the actual mocs a little better.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Well, that particular shield (some of us display) is not to be obtained anymore, as book I was closed half a year ago. However, there will most likely be new tags for those who contribute regularily to book II. There also is the chance to earn a specific shield by participating in the AoM (s. page 1) -

You can of course join Mitgardia and build some cool mocs. However, the shields were awarded for contributing to the first book (chapter) of the Guilds of Historica. So only effort can get you there ... -
Actually Kaliphlin also has all kinds of creatures. The most common ones in Mitgardia are Humans Dwarves Orcs (green ones) Elves Yetis probably the least diverse guild Maybe we could also sort them by Guild

Hey there, I've noticed that there are actually quite a few members from Eastern Europe around here. So I was wondering how you got into contact with LEGO as in the GDR Lego was not available, unless you could get it from relatives in West Germany. Instead I grew up with PeBe, an East German clone brand that looked like this (amongst others): So I was wondering, did you have these too, or did you actually have real Lego?

Well thanks for all these kind words guys. With my current lack of bricks I actually thought I wouldn't be able to enter anything decent. @Emma: With the lime green I tried to refer to ISC's depiction of the Nocturnian swamps. @Gideon: as I've already said, you kinda build what I had on mind, strange thing that! @Niku: more of Grimmson to come!

Well, making such an index would actually be my duty as a regulator, but it would be easier if people posted some of the races they have invented in here. I think it would be interesting if the mocs here actually communicated better with each other, like I did with putting LD's Shraliek tribe into my mocs. Actually the Nocturnus tribes contest would be a good start to collect all these races. An idea to sort these would be like: Hamanoids - men - dwarfs ... Insectoids Reptiloids (or whatever) and so on

Awesome sideways rocks, really looks like the tower was build on a skerry. I also like this autumn tree, seems like I have to get some of those colored leaves too. Maybe the stairs should have a different color though.

Just attend Mitgardia, it's always the best option!

This is so awesome! When I lived in Seattle and the Seahawks still played in the Kinddome, it was the lamest thing when it came to pro-sports in all of the Pacific Northwest. If you wanted to watch interesting football you went to see the Huskies and in general the Supersonics were the team to really get excited about! And now this, never believed that the new stadium would be worth the trouble it caused then. Time for the Sounders to win something big in that stadium though!
