  1. great port side and quite what I imagine Nova Terreli to look like. But please let me do the seaside port, I've been working on it for more than half a year already! where in Germany do you live? I've got a big car and can take you to Antwerpen too. Legostone will come with me as well.

thanks dude, and yes it is. Only that I took the small hulls apart and exchanged blue for black!
  3. Thanks for praising her. It means a lot to me coming from an expert such as you! As for story, sometimes there's nothing to understand about it, it was just a fun way to present a ship, nothing more nothing less ... Thanks for the dedication man, glad you like her! well, to be honest, I didn't come up with colors myself, here's what I used as a reference:
  4. alright, I reject my claim and will henceforth not participate in the MRCA anymore, not license a thing anymore and be more happy thereafter ...
  5. Guys, I'm feeling some strange vibes here ... So let me calirify one thing: no the whole King Fernando thing is nothing but me trying to get a little more trashtalk going. It's something that in GoH created a lot fun, inspired some great builds and even lead to a ship building challenge between Mitgardia and Kaliphlin. Maybe the one or the other mate remembers ... It was fun, everybody took it as a sport and at home at our computers we all got a good lough out of it. So me trying to provoke Oleon is nothing more but my personal endeavor to install more fun to this game as I think you guys are all taking the MRCA way to megablocking serious. It's all about building mocs for me, I actually don't care what the value of my ship is as long as you guys think it's a cool ship. So forget about the rest but don't forget to laugh every now and then! Gees, how strange a game that it takes a German to tell people to be funny ...
  6. I'd like to license the "La Salamandra" as a 4A based on the fact that small shooners and brigs are listed under class 4. Futhermore, she's based on the USS Hannah, the US Navy's first ship. Others say she's too small for both an amred ship as well as a class 4 ship.
  7. @Legostone: as weird as it may sound, but I actually based her on the USS Hannah, the first ship of the US Navy! So let's see what the court decides! As for the masts, I've just taken a new look, I think I can extend them without destroying the rigging ... that svivel guns are coming in two colors is absolutely annoying, I know. The thing is that I didn't want to make them entirely light bley as they wouldn't look metallic that way at all.
  8. why would you do that? It's all clearly shown in the paintings ... I humbly acknoledge that the credits for this have to go to Kolonialbeamter as you might find out in the wip thread well, since I'm neither a high school nor a college student I actually have a job that I need to take care of hm, I'm not sure why you tend to underrate your ships, but in the respective description it says that schooners and brigs are class 4. Now since this is a two masted schooner I thought it might fit in class 4. Let's have SKA decide ... haha, it's an uplifting scene, isn't it? you can actually see tan in a lot of ships from that period. The only thing that might be a little odd here is the usage of yellow on the inside instead of red. But I havn't found a good solution of how to make it yellow on the outside and red on the inside. thanks for following me on this project! I originally had longer masts, but they looked kinda odd without the rigging. Now that the rigging is done however, I think I would have to agree with you. But, there is not way I will redo the rigging, no way!

I finally managed to finish this project. More pics here!
  11. As I've said before, you've got a very generous, well king, or something like that ...
  12. ... somewhere along the coast of Eslandola. An Oleander top sail schooner has anchored just outside a secret cove so far away from the capital that no one would expect it to be a secret meeting point for Oleander and Eslandolan diplomats. Here they meet whenever something needs to be done or discussed far from the public eye. Today was a more than just a meeting though. A crew of Oleandor elite sailors has brought the "Le Salamandre" to Eslandola as a gift from King Philip to King Fernando. This is to make sure, King Fernando publicly renounces his claim to the Oleander throne ... This was quite a price that was to be paid but if things became known, King Philip could always pretent that the ship was a generous gift to Fernando as part of coronation festivities. The two diplomats greet each other but, as the deal has been seeled before, there is no reason to talk much. The big grin on the face of the Eslandolans tells quite a story though ... The Oleanders however, do not seem to be too excited about what it is happening. But they now it might save the two countries from going to war with each other As the Oleander flag is taken down, some of the sailors are cramping the fists in their pockets. How could the crown give away such a swift and elegant vessel? But, who were they to question what King Philip was doing. Hopefully Fernando would now take the bribe gift and cease harassing their country. The thing was tough, Fernando's diplomats had brokered out the deal without Fernando's knowledge. Would it be that easy to pacify him ... ? bye bye Le Salamandre - La Salamandra, may you sail safely! OOC: Okay, I've been building on this for quite a while already, but this was the perfect occasion to finally prent the "La Salamandra (Le Salamandre)" to the public. The original plan was to build the best ship that could possibly done on the small prefabs. Hope I at least accomplished half of that ...
  13. What a generous man he is!
  14. that's what it was, and I actually left a link so you can follow it. The reason I did so was that the age of baroque has it's place mainly in the pirate forum.
  15. I can surely rename the topic for you. But it will remain unstuck as there isn't anything new nor important to all of us Lego History nerds that is being discussed here.
  16. Quite some cool ships floating along your coast! And good job on putting together this beauty! Well, let me put it this way. I've now collected certain pieces for some two or so years to finally put together the ship that I really wanted to build. Guess I could have build her in LDD in a matter of days. My fear is now, that if you lose an LDD ship in the MRCA, you just go ahead and put together a new one. You sure have all the pieces in the right colors! I however, would not take mine apart so I can build a new one. Neither will I be able to build a new one within a few days since some pieces will always be missing or arriving too late. And I'm not speaking of the pain in the megablocks some decent rigging causes. So I do see a certain disadvantage on side of those who build in real bricks. Is there any way we can find a remedy for this problem?
  17. The house is great and I love the fact that together we develop a somewhat unique Eslandolan look! - as for photographing, try to shoot in the shade or on an overcast day, don't worry about the brightness, you can easily change that on your comp - use a large piece of white, grey, blue .. whatever oversized paper and take it as a background
  18. Much needed piece of infrastructure in Nova Terreli. And it really is quite fitting to have the church that small! Anyway, good job on it!
  19. King Fernando has barricaded himself in his study ...
  20. Amazing piece that's for sure!
  21. I love bacon, I love these new pigs and I love this build. Now how amazing is that? Shame I didn't get a single one of those farmers, they were all sold out the day the cmfs hit the shelfs ...
  22. We are still not seeing any kind of royalty in Oleon. How can the citizens of Oleon stand living for such a prolonged time without any royal guidance whatsoever? To better protect the good people of Oleon, we once again offer our assistance and are wlling to accept the heavy burden of ruling two Kingdoms under one King!
  23. This is really a great Baroque castle and there are many elements I like! However, I'll move this to the Pirates forum as it fits the timeframe better over there!
  24. Amazing stuff! I've used the game's building for inspiration before but never have I come as close as you guys. Well done!
