Right on guys, I'm glad you like this. Hopefully you can come up with a whole lot of good stuff. I also have one more piece to finish up. @Buurli_Burri: Well, let's put it this way, your main focus should be on what it behind the wall. But of course, if you got a wall section in shambles, or people refurnishing it etc., it should do as well. However, it'd be cool if you more or less stuck to the standard wall. There is more freedom with towers or gates though!

Hey, this is really cool. I wonder why I havn't noticed this earlier. Awesome idea, I love it! I especially dig how you took on stories from all parts of the realm. Well done! The only thing that is kind of annoying though, is that comments and stories are intermingled in this thread. Maybe some mod could take this apart, I don't know.

Water Elemental Attack on a Mitgardian Outpost
kabel replied to Torgar's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is a really great moc. The water, the building, everything seems really nice. I also like how the wave is causing desctruction and the building collapses. The only thing I have to nitpcik on is the choice of colors. To my eye your building seems rather Kaliphlin or Avalonian due to the tan and green that you're using. But anyway, I guess this is just a matter of taste. So all in all, it's good to have another great builder with us in Mitgardia!! -
This is a really cool build and I totally dig all of these smaller mocs you're doing. They usually have so much athmosphere! I really love how, with such a small ammount of bricks, you are able to tell a really good story. I think I have to get into this stuff as well. Great moc!!

Thanks Torgar! BTW, today it was sunny again so I was finally able to take the picture some of you wanted to see:
-
thanks guys! @robuko: you'll never know, but to this point the cult of the yellow and the green light had been concieved as rather fake by the people. And they had thought that the Jarl was trying to force a state ruled religion upon them. But maybe there is more to it ...

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
kabel replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow, this current challange has brought so much awesomeness to GoH. It's really quite amazing how people around here have evolved in terms of their building abilities ever since the whole project started. Viewing it from that perspective I'd say, goal achieved!! One other thing, it seems to me that the GoH subforum has now turned into the regular castle forum, whereas the history is being swept by LOTR. Strange how that happened. -
Nice entry here. The fire effect is really great. I really like how it's scorging the earth! I can totally understand what you mean. Ever since GOH I can't be dragged away from my LEGO table!
-
I really like this moc too. The choice of color is simply superb and looks ever so Kaliphlin. Great entry!!
-
the idea itself is already genius itself and the way you carried it out as well. If they had had lego in Mediavel times this is what the mocs would look like. Perfect!!
-
Great entry Cara, your beast is great and the town has got to be one of the best micro scale mocs I've ever seen. And the bridge is really nice to look at too. All in all and awesome build. Great to have such a great builder with us in the North, Go Mitgardia!!
-
Oh wow, thanks guys, I would have never thought that the mirco build would be liked so much as this was my first shot at. As for the minig action, well, TLG has been doing a pretty good job with putting interesting facial expresssion on the minifigs. It's only a small step to go from there.

Yeah, I actually feel the same, some really high quality stuff our members have put out so far! @Torgar: Great first entry for Mitgardia! I'll comment on it later today -
Thank you guys for all the positive feedback, I appriciate it a lot! - the elemental: actually wind is a rather light and fluffy element, so I wonder how you could make the moster more scary, suggestions perhaps? - the micro scale: thanks to the mods for this challenge. So far I wasn't interested in micro scale at all. Now I really liked doing it. As you can see, I ran out of white slopes though. Otherwise the landscape would have been a little larger. - the spet: putting the tower and the building together took only one afternoon. Putting the wooden battlement on took more time than the rest of the building. I'm glad it works though. - other perspectives can be found here

the dark blue house is it, I mean yes, the rest is awesome too, but the dark blue house is one of the best half-timbered Lego houses I've seen so far!! Gonna be a tight race between Avalonia and Mitgardia this time!!

Great Moc there Legonardo! Lots of good stuff but what I really like is the shape of your base and the way you made the ash cloud above the volcano. Very creative!!

St.Ansgar is a fortified sept located high above the valley of Helgestorp and dedicated to the cult of the yellow and green light. Normally it doesn't see too many visitors as most of the locals are too pragmatic to believe in anything supernatural. Furthermore, the cult of the yellow and green seems rather artificial to them. So they only visit the sept on Sundays when required by the Jarl. today folks are in a panic to get in though: as the wind elemtal is upon them: freezing people as they run: the septon and the guard are trying to fight it: but it seems their chances of success are rather small, the entire valley and even castle black are already frozen in: So some are giving up: whereas others fight till they drop: Could fire be the weapon of choice? Or will the Septon finally proove that the cult of the yellow and green is not just something the Jarl had invented himself?

Mine is about ready too, a few notches here and there and then I'll be able to take pictures. I'm glad I was able to come up with something within the timeframe, never thought I'd be able to do so ...
