  1. I really like this one. It's small and copmact yet it is beautiful. Ver clever cart and a niece landscape. BTW, where did you get the hairpiece with the three braids, I've never seen it before?
  2. maybe its because we're too cool ... BTW, how about us getting back to the top again, any ideas? Currently I am modifying Ecclesiastes Tower moc so that the wall could be become the standard wall in a possible Valholl community build. How would you guys feel about that? Just a small 16x16 piece of the wall, small enough so you can spend your bricks on challenge 4.
  3. the challange itself sounds really great, and yes, like a real challenge. The only problem I have is the due date! I'll be gone most of July and doubt that I'll make the deadline
  4. Nince tower sc. One can now clearly see that you have evolved your own style. I espcially like the statue and door. I wonder how you manage to have all this time for building tough.
  5. This new interest of several Avalonians in Mitgardia is rather curious, I hope only good things will come out of it. So far we welcome you openly, but do not fool us, we're not as naive as many think we are!! BTW, nice build, it has this certain autumn feeling to it I really like. And what kind of animals are those Mitgardians riding? cangaroos, in the North? Hillarious!!
  6. until when do guys think challange IV will run? I'll be gone most of July, but I wanted to enter anyways
  7. Great Moc z, I really like it and I think it will represent Mitgardia very well. What I really like the best is the dwarf cave! Too bad we can't come to the event ourselves.
  8. @darkdragon: Ah shoot, I forgot to pm you, is Steen part of it anyways?
  9. well, that's the heavy burden that comes along when working in the field of education. Even when I build LEGO, I can't shut of that damn brain ...
  10. that looks nice and rather Mitgardian already. Some nice ideas to depict snow, although I think the fence doesn't neccesarily work as such.
  11. Z, this is looking extremely well, there is one thing I would change though. Most of us use dark tan for the ground instead of brown.
  12. Yeah Z, I really like how you tried to stay true to Angelis vision of the drow, yet put in your mark!! Diversity in the drow realm, I think I'm going to start something like this too!!
  13. Nice ship you've got there! Looking extremely realistic for a Medieval cargo ship!!
  14. great little build. As everybody else I like the balcony and ouf course the floor is just awesome!
  15. cool idea! I'll send you a pm later that day!
  16. thanks for all the positive feedback guys. With all the Historica action going on, there is hardly any time for me to work on piraty stuff. Thus I started focusing on late medieval ships. @dg: thanks man, alays apriciate your feedback a bunch! @direlda: I guess the ship could use one more mid section, other than that, I tried to stay close to the original @nm: coffee man, its your plain old coffee stain, and it's great you finally got yourself some hull pieces @eccles: you may have notice the wolfpack in several of my Mitgardian mocs before. The serve the role of good, but never fully to be trusted Mitgardian citizens, working as sailors, spies smugglers etc. @fbw: I'm glad you liked my homage to your homecountry, which I actually love dearly!! As for the front mast, it's a Mitgardian caravel after all!! @natesroom: go ahead, it's always good to see more ships around here @niku: As I only had a Spanish dictionary I used a Spanish word, hoping for it to be similar to the Portugese version, as is the case with so many words. In English it means black swallow, named after one of the most beautiful birds flying to inhabit the planet. They are fast, they are black and they travel back and forth between the North and the South. So I decided that it would make a good name for a fast ship!
  17. Actually there are plenty of good ship building tutorials in the pirate forum, so this was not my invention. Except for the bag though. As for the other thing, well I guess it's spring, more time in the beer garden instead of hanging infront of your computer ...
  18. thanks guys, for the kind word, well I guess I have to be more patient. But I guess you know this feeling, your ready putting your moc together and taking the pics, and then there is this hole, you fall in ... until the next wip of course the ship itself is based on a 1450sh Portugese caravell design, something like this: not very fantasy like and rather simple, I know, but I was trying to be close to the real thing. So my question was, where to put Spain/Portugal in our Historica world, and thought that it would have to be Kaliphlin. However, as its a Mitgardian caravell, I made the first mast have a sqare not a lateen sail. @DM: I took your average German cloth shopping bag, cut it and dyed it in coffee. I don't know whether you have these kinda bags in Belgium. But an old t-shirt should do too!
  19. Thanks Soccerkid, its good that at least one person commented. Maybe I should retake the pictures and/or move this to the pirate forum.
  20. looking pretty good there. I'd say stay with the costum sail, it's become sort of a standard in the pirate forum to do sail like this. It'd also be cool to tile the deck, like I've done with both my ships. Are you also going to add a stern castle? If you need some reference you can also check out my cog
  21. stunning as always, and quite a bit to read. I really like the orc fortress the best!
  22. My contribution
  23. So far the Mitgardians ship of choice was the cog. However, due to their presence in Mpya Stedor Mitgardian merchants became aquainted with the latest Kaliphlin maritime development, the caravell. After fooling around a little, the Mitgardian shipwrights were finally able to create a Caravell of their own, the "Arandela Negra": officially it serves as a trader transporting goods that decay rather quickly. Her speed thus allows her to transport whine to the North and mead to the South: However, as most Mitgardian sailor are members of the Wolf Pack, it also serves as a spy ship that collects and transfers all the information the Jarl would like to aquire as fast as nobody else could do it: the little smuggling activities by the captain are therefore usually neglected by Mitgardian authorities, as it is the Wolf Pack after all!
  24. very nice build there dg! I always like your stuff you just have a really nice style. It's hard to describe what it is I like about it so much, but I guess it's the overall composition of your mocs that is really great. Everything fits right in there, full of detail, but not too much either!!
  25. cool stuff, nice visual effect, tempts me to start an attac on the drow as well, SAY NO TO DROW!!
