  1. so many great techniques, a pleasure for the eye. Awesome entry!!
  2. beautiful stuff here. The falls are amazing, as is the cave. It's going to be tough to decide who is going to win this round!
  3. This is just so beatiful. And its rather crazy what kind of shapes are possible with LEGO bricks. I really love it and I hope this is going to put Mitgardia back on top, where we belong to!!
  4. extending the deadline would be great, then I could enter some stuff too!!
  5. thanks for commenting on this. I know it's not a masterpiece at all, but with my reluctance to tear down Valholl, I was left with too few bricks. At least I wanted to enter something. However, I think I did better with photographing this time.
  6. The waterfall is it! I mean the rest of the moc a pretty nice too, but the waterfall does it for me! It's always amazing to see with what kind of interesting ideas people around here come up with, and then I usually woder why I didn't think of it either. Well done!
  7. nice Mitgardian moc, great job on the broken chapel. Lookin' really great! I also like the pond, looks like a nice place!!
  8. Cara, this is amazing. Great to have such an awesome builder in our ranks!! My entry is up too now: discussion
  9. It’s finally sping in Mitgardia! And even the cold blooded Northerners melt in these rare days of sunshine and warm temperatures(in Mitgardian terms!). So it’s not uncommon for our brave Northern heroes to relax, sit back and enjoy a good cup of mead with their friends and neighbors. So one day, as Steen was having a Barbeque party in the garden of old corner inn, where he was staying during legislative sessions. Surprisingly Elon Chorian, although not a member of the No-Nonsense Party, attended the feast too. After the 10th cup of mead he finally started talking about what was on is heart: Elon: "Well Steen, I’ve always considered you a smart boy, and quite frankly, I have no clue why you joined the party of this idiot. Can't you see he's ruining this city with his plans to bulldoze everything?" Steen: Now Elon, what is it. What do you want me to do? Elon: Steen, I've just heart the other day how Grimmson wants to break down the last sod house near the Thing-Hall. I don't like that, I mean it's part of our heritage, this being one of the first houses to be errected in this city. You have to save it!! Steen: But why me? And, most important of all, how? Elon: Steen, your the only one old Grimmson still listens too. He's an ingnorant old stubborn fighter, but if you tell him that you need your own house here in Valholl, I'm sure he might sell it to you! Steen: Well yes, getting my own place was definetely something I was gonna do. I'll see what I can do! Elon: Steen, I'm really glad! As fate has it, Grimmson, who considered Steen the son he never had, let Steen have the house. And Steen actually really liked the place. It was warm, cozy and really close to the Thing Hall as well as the inn. A perfect place, and as it turned out, there was nothing a good carpenter couldn't fix. One good cleaning and he would start living in his snug littel sod house. However, during this clean-up Steen found something that was going to change his life for the month to come. Behind an old and rotten cupboard he tore out he found an old map. ... 3 month later, with the last days of the wanig summer, Steen finally arrived at the peak of the "Frozen Moutain" in Northern Mitgardia. It had taken all his will and money to get here, and now he stood at food of his final climb. Amazed he looked up the face to this giant made of ice and rock, where, stuck in the ice, he could see the remains of the once glorious wind temple. However, as he was about to pick his iceaxe, a Yeti stood in the way and shouted scaringly at our exhausted hero! But Steen knew what to do. Following the advice of this grandfather, had taken two barrels of the fines mead with him that took care of the matter: "Finally", thought Steen, "this must have been the guardian the old tales warned about. I would have never thought it would be so easy to apease this monster!" So he took his axe and scaled the last meters to the top of the mountain. Finally he found an entrance to the old temple. He went in, and after a few hours managed to get out again. Triumphantly he waved the ice cup with the air crystal on top in to the thin and cold mountain air! Maybe he should have thought twice about it! The stealing of the air crystal had woken the Northern Wind, the brother and guardian of the air crystal. Filled with rage it started blowing the strongest and coldest ice-storm Mitgardia had ever seen. Would Steen be able to survive the descend with the ice-cup in his hand? pic of the mountain without Steen and the Northern Wind:
  10. australia would suck, hawaii is better!! I'm on my way to buy blue cardboard ...
  11. Soccerkid, this is really cool! Functional Moc are so much fun, I guess I have to build some too!!
  12. Wow Z, this is so great, I don't quite know what to say. As a big fan of the Wolfpack I had hoped, that more of them would one day join Mitgardia, where they have made great sailors so far, but alas they were rescued and have to follow you now. I just hope that they woun't take up the sword against their brothers in the North one day. So in short, your interpretation of the wolf pack castle is just gorgious. I now feel like I have to do a moc about the Northern branch of the pack! And yes, thanks for the advice on lighting, I'm on my way to more natural light too now!
  13. yeah, steen has started growing a beard after he was elected into the thing. He wanted to look a little more mature
  14. so, I've been playing around with lighting, and sunlight seems to have worked the best:
  15. some cool stuff has come up here recently and it's a pleasure to see Mitgardia flowering again. Unfortunately real life is really buisy these day, and I don't have the time to comment on all the great mocs. Sorry for that For Mitgardia Steen
  16. damn, now that you guys mentioned GoT I'm out there consumining everything available about it, whereas I should correct class work!! Gonna go and get the books tomorrow!!
  17. small moc with very nice effects. I really love it Horry! Makes me wanna build in the Pirate realm again ...
  18. the funny thing is, that these are pics I took last year August for the first stage of my Stoneroda MOC, which never gained much attention though. However, since GOH started late in the fall, I was not able to use these kind of lighting conditions again until a few days ago. Now that the sun is back on my balcony, I will redo the pics of my cog as well as of the Valholl series, as I haven't ripped them apart yet!
  19. well, I guess where you guys are headding, this is the one I took out in the shade I might simply retake my latest mocs with the sun that's out there right now, and get the right background ... (and a new camera)
  20. alright, my guardian evolving:
  21. One question to the big boys: I guess so far my biggest obstacle in the way of becoming a better mocer is photography. I realize that I've used a lot of white lately and will be doing so in my challenge III moc. So my question is, what's the best background for this, and how should I do the lighning. And yes, my cam is a piece of megabricks, so that has to be taken into account too.
  22. oh my, what a day for mitgardia!! I've just finished reading all the chapters of this story, and right in time you there with another chapter. How cool is that? I's quite amazing with how much stuff you can come up. How often are you skipping class?
  23. good to see, mitgardia is kicking butt again, great stuff there guys!!
  24. soccerkid, this definetely the best thing you have build so far. It's actually rather amazing to see how your skills have improved so far!!
  25. oh wow, eccles, that is truely an awesome moc, and a nice story there! Your guardian is simply too well thought of to be true! Too bad you had to hurt the ent, I actually like them
