great, I'm currently working on a caravell, might as well enter it under this header!!
-
That is truely a magnificent tower you put together there!! And it's also really cool to have my avatar in the build too. As a matter of fact, I like the city wall so much, it just looks really imposing, that I'd suggest we make this the standard wall for our next Mitgardian community build. Lovin it!!

Eric Grimmson, Lord of the Mitgardian Thing pledges his support of Avalonia. He will lead a group of Mitgardian volunteers to help out our Avalonian brothers to the West. Grimmson has always pointed out that the drow need to be defeated, alas noone ever listened to him. SAY NO TO DROW!! -

Lets close the border and fight the enemies within! However, a defeat of Avalonia and takeover of the drow beyond Nocturnus can not be tolerated. But, as long as the Jarl is not asked officially, we must stay out of this!! -
very nice battle scene indeed a nice story too. What I like the most though, is having both kinds of horses united in one moc. I was actually afraid, that the two types of horses wouldn't go together. However, you have shown that they rather complement each other. Great job!!

Thanks for the feedback. And yes, I thought about that too. And I guess it would have made sense. However, the brigde was meant as a crosscut, and so I ended up like this. But right, it does look kinda silly like this! Thank you DG. Looking at it, I even thought of more stories. The problem is that once I get done building I'm usually way too impatient to have it sitting at my desk another day before taking pictures

I think we should stay out of this as long as Avalonia and loyal Nocturnians manage to supress the drow themselves, a victory for the drow however, could not be accepted! I'm more worried about the Werewolves though, as Yvonnel tries them to march North! So lets keep our borders well protected!! -
At first I was a little sceptical about the size limitations, but then I found out that 32x32 actually makes one think about how to cope with limited size and therefore you come up with interesting solutions. I might go for more 32x32 mocs becaue so far those were my best ones Yeah, the Jarl is watching you, hehe, couldn't leave those orcs uninspectd!! Thank you very much for this compliment.

@soccerkid: I think you should mix because the rocks for building a structure were usually broken right from the sorrounding hills. So the color usually fits the rocks the structure sits on. So mixing dark grey, light grey and sand is not a problem! I usually mix bricks and plates giving it a nice look, like here:

this is an awesome brigde soccerkid!! I really like the angle, the landscaping and the minifig action. Looking all really sturdy and in these days of an upcoming war, we of course need well protected borders!! Let the Nocturnians get at each other's throat, with winter coming we better stay out of this!!

@Cara: that's really cool. Have you started build yet though? It'd be cool to see how you worked out the idea! Fellow Mitgardians: All beware, the drow are starting to cause trouble. So far no real threads to our realm yet, but you never know!! -
Thanks for all the comments: btw, the bs folder is public now. It has some more pics and also some wip pics! @HT: thanks for the positive feedback. I also had a lot of fun building this, so much going on in the slum areas of Valholl ... @SK: yeah, if there's a slum, you gotta have rats, and after the orcs got kicked out of the sod house, they now live in this moist cave! @Z: I finally invested the 1,50 € to buy a large piece of white card board. Seems like it works now. I guess the lighting could still be a little better ... @Cara: You know, somehow a man's gotta make a living, even if its selling rats to lazy orcs ... @Angeli: it's the first time I tried to make SNOT water and I'm convinced now! @NM: yeah, that might be Anders, but you never know, it's the wolf pack after all ... @Jareth: I visited a friend in Erfurt the other day and saw this: I didn't have enough pieces to build the whole thing, so I came up with the idea to just make the facade and sure, go ahead and borrow!

the bridge slum area: discussion -
What holds true for live in general, holds also true for Valholl. If you don't really push yourself hard enough, you'll end up beneath the brigde, in this case a build up bridge though: As gentrifications drives out people from the city center, the brigde quarter is where the poor and the orcs end up. It's swampy, it's wet and get's flooded ocasionally. So it's a good place for more or lesse shady ventures, like smuggling in Nocturnian Whiskey: or selling freshly caught rats to orcs: However, the city has set up a tower in order to keep an eye the area

I am too, just had an extended weekend though ... but, here's a wip shot -
sorry for bumping this, but I was gone for a few days and without web access ... @robuko: tanks man, yeah the orient expedition, that's were the idea came from, and it has more than just the yeti from the set @gabe: thank you too, and yes, the guardian is really pissed off, took a while though to get the face really that mad looking

only five points, that will not do justice to alle the good builds ... 6) - 1 pt 7) - 1 pt 11) - 1 pt 16) - 1pt 18) - 1pt

the bs folder is finally public, more pics there @glenpinpat: that really was difficult. And the funny thing is, as I went onto my balcony to take the pcitures,a real strong wind started and the barrels kept falling off. At times I even had to hold the "north wind" with my hand as it was swinging back and forth like crazy. Strange coincidence ... @Erynlasgalen: well, having the one or the other keg of mead with you is always a good idea in Mitgardia. It definetely helps to make friends @DG: thanks man, I always appreciate your feedback very much!
-
@sc: I'm rather impressed to see how your building skills have evolved over the last months! I know I've said this before, but the snot work you did on your base is just great. It's good to know that the core of the Mitgardian contributers is growing again!!
-
Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it! Originally I was going to skip this round, but then I changed my mind again. @Cara: there were so many dragons that I decided to do something different. The wind was actually inspired by comic winds that usually look this: @Angeli: Yeah, catching yetis is actually not that difficult. It's just never been tried like this ... @rogueang: Me being give the eskimo by my sister actually started the creation of this moc. And of course, WINTER IS COMING, so you gotta have those handy as a Mitgardian! @Eccles: I took a look a my minifig collection the other day and realized, that I had all the pieces for your character. So Elon had to in there too. I'm glad you like it!

It's a good thing you changed those photos. Now I can really apreciate this moc. And now I can say that I totally love it. Great build!
