  1. Thanks Erynlasgalen, the bend in the river had actually really given me headache because plates in snot do not work when turnig the direction. So I'm glad it looks alright like this!
  2. I'll do so in my next moc, promised
  3. crownies are all cool, actually most of us use them. BTW, plenty of green arms in the Toy story soldiers set, maybe you can still get them for cheap, at least in the Lego store of my choice they sell them for 5 €. Another thing you ought to do is check out what the guild members have posted for this guild so far. The links are to be found in the index. You'll also find some ships there. Geez guys, I really like how our guild is coming back into full swing!
  4. With assasins creed taking place in Florence a trip to Tuscany helps wonders too ....
  5. welcome Antonio, it's always good to have new members, and I really like your fig's background story and the figs you have created. Well done
  6. Torgar, this is awesome! The waterfall is simply outstanding, and the rest is great too. Seems like Mitgardians have become infatuated with dwarven sites now!
  7. DG, I'm so glad you also came to Varlyrio seriously, this is just another great moc from you. I really like you this too fits the description of the country yet is a typcial DG moc at the same time. Looks like we'll all have a great time building for the new guild. As for the lady on the balcony, I hope she gets cought before she can do any harm to DG or Lena
  8. Mikey, this is beautiful I love it. So much activity goind on, such a nice collection of minifigs. I also like the palisade and the icing on the cake is of course the old oak!!
  9. alright, today you get to vote in the final round of our little Mitgardian Valholl Wall challenge. The winner is going to be the Master Mason of Valhol, the other one ... oh well, you'll get to know once this is over. You have a week for this, meaning the poll will be closed and the winner announced by Wednesday November 14th! So, here are the builds: Soccerkid:http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=75722 Ecclesiastes: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=75787
  10. thanks guys, I'm glad you like the vines because this is how everthing started. I really wanted to do your typical Tuscanian sloped vineyard and I'm glad it came out like this. As for the roof, I was trying to get across that aged roof tiles take on all sorts of colors in between red, organge and dark red just like in this picture (Italy): or this one (Spain): maybe I should use smaller roof bricks or use the round brick roof technique to get this across better. However, I just don't have that many round red, organge and dark red bricks.
  11. Makes me wonder why he's in Avalonia where instead he should belong to Mitgardia!
  12. For me Varlyrio is actually the way to go after the last challenge is over. I mean, yes I'll continue to build in Mitgardia too, but Varlyrio is such a nice place that I might linger there for a while. And finishing of my James Cook Endeavour project is also due, after it having collected dust for more than a year!
  13. Hey so cool you guys did this little extra challenge! I certainly think we should do things like this again, maybe have a moc battle between the guilds would be even better! Anyway, now that the challenge part of this community build is over, I hope that we may still see some more mocs contributing to this project. So we really need to discuss whether to open this to participants from other guilds. Personally I would be inclined to do so.
  14. alright, this is really great, so we can finally conclude the challenge! Awesome design as always. And it's great to see how it fits your other pieces of the wall. Awesome job!
  15. alright, I aplied too, although directly to Big Cam via PM, anyway, my two findings: awesome skull design by LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya: http://brickartist.c...lls/?ref=recent interesting rendering of the VASA: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5659962
  16. I certainly know that, but what you may not have noticed is that he had to redo all the links after the forum software was changed, at least that's what it looks like. And I guess that this was a hell of a job to be done!
  17. There have been a few ldd free builds since this whole thing started. Just go through the Index and you'll see! edit: sorry, posted the same things at the same time
  18. Since nobody has done this yet, since it's impossible to comment in the thread itself and since positive feedback seems to scarce around here at times, I really would like to take the time and thank rogueang for putting together the Historica Index. I'm sure it is a very tideous work to keep up with all the mocs that are being placed here, especially since after the software change you had to do it all over again. So once again, thanks a lot man!!
  19. Ah I shouldn't have started this discussion, at least not here! All I meant to say is, that with building in Varlyrio and Mitgardia I have the opportunity to shell out even more mocs, thus improving my skills even faster than I did so far ...
  20. Wolf Pack are the best castle faction ever. And them having so few sets makes really kinda special I guess. Anyway, I love this one too. It is a very unique style yet it also reminds of the classis Wolf Pack castle, including the ghost door! Awesome! PS: that is indeed a pretty tricky word for us Germans!
  21. Oh right, forgot about that, still, we are on our way again, back to where we were a year ago: the guild leading with mocs instead of fancy words!!
  22. I'm having so much fun with this guild and am working on my second moc already. It's running outside the challenge, but I don't care. It'll count as an Mitgardian free build then. I want one of those nifty tags below my avatar!
  23. Really cool, this time we're really back on track: three Mitgardian entries, one Avalonian, no Nocturnia yet, nor Kaliphlin, you guys rock!!
