LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
the Hamlet dude, the DJ, the Diver, and the Pretzel eater are my favorites. I love the alien queen but I think the lipstick will be a bummer to little blokes who couldn't get the ambassador dude (due to his only appearance in the mostly not worth it mothership) and I'm loving the robot on account of the many who couldn't get the first. I hope the helmet is solid metallic.. -
The tabernacle is my favorite part. really really cool.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
SpiderSpaceman replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't forget we've still got the lagged release of the first ultimate spiderman set coming up this year (and actually already shipped some before selling out temporarily) Yeah I really wish marvel would cut out the middleman. Comic designs straight to the set -

Well the thing about harley is if she's a nurse it's a disguise. Because real name Harleen Quinzel is a doctor. Not to mention, I think at least in the new continuity her face paint is at least partially permanent chemical discoloration, like the joker's. Ooh yeah, that's what I thought was off about freeze. He pretty much always has goggles Penguin is about as good as I think they can do without making him really decayed looking (and more importantly with the inability to incorporate the nose) Gordon is the one I want the hardest. He's fantastic -
Where the everloving hell are you guys picking that up from? There is no such sentiment expressed. Read the three pages, for crying out loud. There is nothing not sensible about gathering requests for the expansion of availability of something. Read what I have said. or you know, just post #26. The one you so obviously missed due to your continued insistance that I'm trying to get them to stop making special edition minifigures. And I'm actually over this batch of exclusives. I won't get them and I'm resigned to and okay with that. I just don't like that anyone would attack a (at least initially) polite plea, request for a change of the way it's done in the future, whatever you want to call it (as long as it actually is the same thing and not "no one else should be happy" or "whining").

No sorry for the mixup man, I was quoting you two as a clear voice of reason to people who DO agree with it (like those I was going at it with in the topic I'd started in the ambassador forum) which I am now knocking off, because agreement won't happen one way or the other -

Behold, ardent defenders of the current screw fans over system, why you are stubborn kiss-ups. don't ban me, I'm done. not gonna be a last word getter -
Nah the way it's linked on top in 4 spots makes me think it's just the 4X4 quarter round bricks seen in the Race 3000 board game, the back of Slave 1, the droid escape pod, etc.

Aanchir, collecting not being a competition should go the other way too. Isn't it the definition of a collecting competition if so many people want the few produced?

Hollow round 4X4 plates? Whoooooooooooooohoooooooooo

Is this what everyone thinks I'm talking about? Because it's really not. We're all passionate about Lego's designs. And some people have characters that are their absolute most anticipated designs. Like I've said I really want Lobo, mohawked Storm, Elektra, and 1996 Aquaman (edit: Oh! and Swamp Thing and Bwana Beast ). These are my most anticipated designs and if they ever happen they're gonna be promos I can't get. I'd just like to see availability become a little more inclusive before we get around to them. And other people's most anticipated designs are the ones out right now, and I can't ask for equality for just my personal favorites, because duh.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Tomorrow was Superheroes all in one, I thought. Then Star Wars saturday, and Ninjago sunday? No reason I should trust my memory though. To the Venom disappointed: Personally, I feel the torso is holycrapamazing enough to redeem the underwhelming rest of it. But I agree, and feel that the Marvel license has largely been handled in a blah way, compared to DC. The tiny presence of X-Men is the only true to classic comics thing we got outta Marvel so far. Though now I'm bummed that Man of Steel is gonna choke out a lot of room for more comic material exploration on the DC front. -
good god, you are a troll. It's not taking anything away from someone by wanting the same enjoyment equally available for others.

Exactly! this is why we need to vocally add to the complaints - this practice is still new enough that they can react in some way if they really get an earful. (unlike horrible companies like blizzard) Oh, oh! Four figures: Do it like Toys R Us' "Bricktober" promotions. Freebie of the week, different each week, for a month. Set a low-ish bar for purchases so people can ignore the guilt

The wing-binding base against base technique is something I can't wait to try out. Not interested in picking up the model, for reasons stated by everyone above me but that has got to be my new groove. And I think I can try it with the 2x6 version of that plate, and possibly the brackets that are showing up so much in the marvel sets. -
See I figured it had to do with making a makeshift batsignal using the batwing connected to the strongman handle (but i couldn't get the handle to work)

Futbol is just a phonetic transform of the term appropriated from english, for languages spoken globally in zones where soccer football is huge. Roast beef is spelled "rosbif" in a lot of places. I mocked up a little collectible minifig for an American football playing kid in protective gear, and decided he had to be called "Gridiron Lad" -
