  1. Hey there what would you like to know. I can take some pictures when I get home but there is not much to it it has 3 output ports which can be split to run 6 motors (4.5 volts) in 1 direction or 3 motors in both directions. It has 2 sensor ports which support touch and light type sensor. This can become a rotation sensor of types using a round disk with white/black parts which are in sets like 1090 1092. I think people have got the release date wrong as some people list it as 1992 but its stamped with 1986. It was used with the BBC computer I believe, and used a older version of the parallel port. A friend of mine just created a cable that converted the old port to a new parallel port (just a cable) I have made a simple little vb app that talks to it via NTPort.dll which you can see sensor readings or turn motors on and off. This reminds me, I must finish the Interface B software as not worked out the rotation sensor yet
  2. Hello there I finally managed to get my Interface A working with Visual Basic 6. A friend of mine helped provide the ground work and Cable Does anyone else have the slightest interest in this device? It can run 3 x 4.5v motors and 2 sensors. I can send you the code if interested
  3. Do you? how can people get involved in that?
  4. There is also another company (dexter) that do GPS, themo and all types of advance sensors. I would agree with you comment, to stay with Lego, go Hitechnic, if you want to do some awesome stuff, go MindSensor. They also do custom NXT cables cheap. The PS2 controller is recommended
  5. MindSensor also make some nice sensors but not approved by Lego for some reason
  6. The fact you can't join cables together, you have to buy custom NXT cables to go over long distances.
  7. Love the uniqueness of this and how you did the video. Reminds me to actually find a use for the colour sensor
  8. Well done some more work on this. I had to make the arms stronger to upgraded to 3 actuators per arm. Wish I could get rid of the clutch noise. Also added air tanks and compressor for claws Stream I have plated more of it, I plan to take a video this weekend finally !!
  9. GREAT WORK, love to see studded models, I always plan to do the same to the Test Car
  10. I have made some stuff like this but its always about making it turn etc
  11. I would love to see a Aliens APC
  12. Looks cool and I did not know they did dark green lego.
  13. I own quite a few technic sets and the ones lately I have been impressed with are the tow truck (8285), Bulldozer 8275 and the Williams F1 car which was a lot bigger than expected (older). The reason I have not put down 8421 was the mechanism just never woke on mine I think my all time fav is the Test car as that was my first big set as a kid.
  14. Good video, I hope to start something like this in my area.
  15. I have not seen this one before, I have only seen the direct version where the motor is connected to the lever to change the switch. So far I have not burned a motor out :) Might try this one out. Good MOC!
  16. Welcome, cool Wall-E
  17. Thanks all for the replies, I built a little rover at the weekend, it was pretty good fun but need to make it stronger. The Angled stuff is very useful!
  18. Thanks, downloading now, have no problem paying $10 if useful
  19. What about the 8285 Tow truck, now thats big
  20. Ok so there not any good guides etc. I build hundreds of models but thought there were some cool techniques. I use all the pasts in the picture except the first one all the time. Please don't get me wrong, I am far far from a newbie, just wanted to up my skills.
  21. Thats pretty cool, I mean general technic techniques, is there anything I should know. So if you needed to build a large cube out of studless beams, how would you do it?
  22. Sorry I mean technic studless techniques, your links I believe don't help?
  23. Hello all As you may or may not know I am a die hard fan of studded building however I fancy building something purely studless. Does anyone have any good links to building techniques? I want to build a largish structure which is built up of cubes( for strength) Any tips, tricks etc would be great.
