"Would everyone please stop talking to the paladins? You're only making them more determined to capture us!" Throlar slumped to the floor, unable to stand. His hands were shaking, his legs felt like they were filled with water, he felt like iron weights were dragging him down. What had that man done to him? "I'd appreciate a remedy here if anyone has any to spare!" His gaze wandered over to one of the remaining watchmen, recognizing him as the one who had come in with the paladin commander. "Hey!" he said, "you're practically dead on your feet, do you really want to die here? Are you really that dedicated to this cause?" Throlar uses diplomacy on Constable Geezard from the front row. -

"Well, looks like I can change someone's opinion." Having said that, Throlar refocused his attention on Detective Lestrange. "Now you, I don't see you changing your mind easily." Throlar attacks Detective Lestrange from the front row. -
We can definitely do that without any difficulties... hopefully.

"We can ask the owner about that after the fight." Throlar gestured in the direction of one of the guardsmen, saying as he did; "Look, I'm not keen on killing you, you're just doing your job, so I'd recommend you leave. Besides, are you really sure that this whole council thing is really for the better?" Throlar uses Diplomacy on the Watchman Arbelist from the front row. -
Last night? No. All day? Yes. Every time it tried to get to Eurobricks my computer told me I wasn't connected to the internet, even though I was. I eventually solved the problem by switching to a different network and then switching back but it was annoying while it lasted.

"I can work with that, assuming you were addressing me that is. While I'm talking, Karie, I see you have a guitar, do you know Murder on the Dancefloor?" Having said that, Throlar aimed a punch at Commander Fervent from the front row. (OOC: WBD; Throlar shouldn't be immune to weakened if he's not wearing the Lion's Plate.) -
I'd love to see Skrall appear, even in a cameo, or Boris too for that matter. It would be nice to quest with you again.

"The Copper Fox taught me how the be a Warden, I owe him for that at least." Throlar turned back to face the two men at the door. "I know I might be wrong, and that I might be siding with the wrong people, but I honestly don't believe that." he said, downing his Soma and his Mulled Wine (and a Mead if he was included in the round Atramor ordered earlier). He then removed his Lion's Plate and equipped his Robes of the Kappa Master and his Counterstrike Gloves, pulling on the latter as dramatically as he could manage. "I am not letting you take these men." (If Throlar still has his shields then he will also equip his Weathered Shield in place of his Shield of Invisibility.) -
Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Throlar sat quietly in a corner, he thought about trying to talk the Assassin around but eventually decided against it, it wasn't like he'd ever been able to change anyone's opinion anyway. At the entrance of the two soldiers his brow furrowed in agitation. This sudden curfew rankled him, everything about this situation rankled him. Everything was moving so quickly, too quickly. In his mind he could see an image of well-oiled iron rails that had been laid long in advance bearing some insidious plot to a terrible conclusion. And on top of that there were these Veterans who had seemingly returned from the grave, he didn't want to believe they were real, something about the idea of these people being the real Veterans made him sick. After all, if that was the case, then not only was one of Titaan's greatest heroes willingly involved in whatever the hell was going on here, but one of these Veterans had killed her own great grandson! He sat in silence as the heroes discussed what to do, until he heard the paladin demand they hand over the veterans. He stood up to his full diminutive height and... turned to face Lawrence Bloomingham. "Before anything gets started," he said, "I just want to say I'm sorry about my behavior at R'kilf, I was utterly out of line on that and I do hope you forgive me." -

"Mister, whoever you are, shut up. I honestly couldn't care less about wether these men are Wolfgang or not, after being stuck working with someone who openly betrayed us to them-" here he cast a meaningful look at Eric and Althior, "-I've become rather desensitized to that. What I care about is that these men have just lost a friend and they are entitled to their grief. And as for Heroica being wanting, who's to say it is? These people who just showed up out of the blue claiming to be the first Veterans right when almost all of the major powers in Eubric have been destabilized? Doesn't that strike you as a little suspicious in conjunction with the fact that they've suddenly declared an alliance with the two most powerful remaining groups to 'build a better Eubric' or whatever it is? Or are you too caught up in founder worship to consider the possibility that this might be a massive setup? And even if they are the real thing that doesn't make the timing any less suspicious." He paused, sighed, and then in a much calmer tone he said; "Sorry if I was rather abrasive there, I'm... a bit confused at the moment." -

"Unfortunately, no." said Throlar with enough venom in his words to kill an elephant. "Have you seen the newspapers recently?" -

"The Veterans? The Original Veterans? Alive? It appears the Miracleworker was successful in his quest." Throlar stared at the newly delivered newspaper with a look of... indeterminate something. He had no idea what to think. "Well," he said, "what do we do now? I mean, the original Veterans have returned, that ought to sound good but... this stuff about joining up with the town watch and the paladins to make a 'more peaceful and prosperous city' sounds rather ominous. And coupled with the fact that the current Veterans have been forced to run away or have been killed it sounds... bad." -

"Oh, I see. It's just that I've decided to give her a few items I got during the Lethauros quest, the lance and boots. It seems fitting considering that she's the one who actually brought him down, I just delivered the coup-de-grâce. What has happened? I have no idea, all I know is that the heroes have been evicted from the Hall for some reason, I met (well, walked in to) an Amphi Croaken who said he used to work at the Hall as someone who was in charge of keeping records of new members of Heroica, he said that everyone had gone to this... dive, and gave me directions here." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Throlar stood looking at the mighty edifice of the Hall. Starting at the top and moving slowly to the bottom, his eyes lingering on the worn, weathered, moss coated bricks that made up it's walls before finally reaching the door (marked by the recent remains of a smashed bottle of alcohol of indeterminate type) and the notice that had caused him to start examining the building so throughly. It said that the Hall was closed and that all heroes had been evicted until further notice. There didn't seem to be anything wrong from the outside, and Throlar couldn't think of any reason why this would happen. After some thought he turned with a shrug and walked away. Wondering exactly what he would do now. He didn't see the other man until he had already run into him. Some time later... Throlar, holding his nose in one hand and a piece of paper with a set of directions written on it in the other, stood looking at the rundown heap called Lady Luck's Locale. Starting at the top and moving slowly to the bottom, his eyes lingering on the... this felt rather familiar. This place, he thought, seems rather similar to the hall in it's construction, which says more about the hall than this place. Looks about the same age too, which is rather reassuring in that it hasn't fallen down yet. Oh well, if this is where everyone has gone... He strode in, handing his weapons over to the bouncer as he went past, and stood just inside the door looking at the bar,* noting the number of familiar faces. One in particular caught his eye, mostly because it was rather far above the others. "Vindsval!" he called, "I'm not the person you're looking for but I hope you're happy to see me." He stopped, looking around him for a moment before saying "Where is Annienal? I can't find her anywhere and there was something I wanted to give her." *For those who are interested in that sort of thing, this is the third time he's stood looking at something, it's getting rather repetitive. -
Throlar strode quietly through the streets of the city, seemingly lost in thought. It had been some time since he had last been in the city, months even. And to be honest his time away didn't seem to have changed him much. (Throlar enters the marketplace with 150 gold) Well, there was one difference, his Elven Longsword was gone. (Throlar sells his Elven Longsword for 25 gold) Throlar suddenly looked up from the ground (which he had been staring at with the intensity of someone who was only looking in that direction because he wasn't looking anywhere else) and found himself in the marketplace. He stood in place for a few moments before apparently coming to a decision and hurrying off to one of the stalls. His first stop was Anwyl's Smithy, where he sold his Huntsman's Bow for 35 gold, his Blackstone Club for 150 gold, and his Viper Scale for 40 gold. Then he ran over to Fabian's Boutique where he sold his Quiver of Homing Arrows for 100 gold and his Monkey Armor for 120 gold. Upon completion of these sales he also asked Fabian what price he would ask for the Lion's Plate and the Crow Helmet. (Remaining gold; 620.)

Is there still time for me to do a few things in the marketplace and other such locations before the quest actually kicks off or is it too late for that?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you. I've been planning on changing my class to Paladin for a while now, and with the end of the game in sight I can't see any better time than now. However I am without my camera and cannot replace my current class photo, would someone be so kind as to provide me with one?
-
I certainly would like to do that, thank you.

I currently possess an item described as being 'worth 40 gold to certain NPC's' however during the quest where I obtained it I failed to sell it to the NPC I was supposed to and subsequently I have been unable to find an NPC to sell it to. Would it be acceptable if I simply converted the item into its stated value?

Hi everyone, sorry I've been away for so long, turns out joining a long mafia game immediately after finishing a quest is a poor way to unwind. Anyway, I'm back now, though a little late it seems as the game is ending soon. It is slightly disappointing, especially as I had hoped to participate in the finale of the Eubric Cemetery arc before it happened. Still I understand and accept the reasoning behind this. Now there are a couple of questions I would like to ask about this last quest, one, will we have an opportunity to exchange Decamon cards for gold and items as was the case in the Decamon Tournament? And secondly, Will there be any opportunity to change a weapon's type/combine weapons during this quest?

Firstly, I apologize for not speaking here in a more timely fashion, I would have spoken, but I was too exhausted and need some time to recover. That being said, this was a wonderful game and I enjoyed playing it, and I look forward to the next game KotZ hosts with anticipation. Thank you for having me.
