Throlar nodded to the man in the blue shirt. "Hello." -

"Really? Your council seems to be doing a rather shoddy job of giving you orders if they can't even be bothered to tell you what the people you're looking for look like." said Throlar, attempting to use his diplomatic training to surreptitiously make those listening start to doubt the council's competence. "But then again what do I know? It's was probably a minor oversight that will be rectified shortly." he continued. He was about to smile disarmingly before he remembered that the mask he was wearing obscured his facial features completely. "Yes, this encounter has lasted far longer than necessary methinks. Well, it was nice meeting you all, we'll just be on our way now, goodbye!" Hiving finished speaking (diplomatically of course) Throlar turned to leave (hopefully with the others in tow). -

"Well that seems like a major oversight, did your superiors actually bother to give you any description of the people you're looking for or did they just say 'here's a list of names, find the people on it'. Who gave you these orders anyway?" said Throlar, trying to keep up his diplomatic tone. -

"I didn't know him, not in a personal sense, I've only heard of him." said Throlar with a palpable amount of irritation. "And for goodness sakes whatever possessed you to use my name? Now we're going to have a whole load of trouble we could've avoided otherwise." "Actually it is a rather common name in Titaan," Throlar said diplomatically, "and honestly, do I look like the fellow you're looking for?" he said, tapping his Skull Mask in an attempt to use it's ability to disguise it's wearer as undead. -

"Certainly not!" said Throlar, continuing his diplomatic tactic, "Why, wanted criminals just waltzing around the streets in broad daylight? That's just daft!" Giving a slight nod to the detective he continued, "Glad we could be of assistance to you sir, and I have full confidence in your ability to get to the bottom of these nefarious doings. And thank you all for your untiring efforts in keeping the city safe." Turning to the others he said, "Come on everyone, let's go." -

"A-hah!" said Throlar "You must be that town watch detective I've heard about. Tell me," he continued as diplomatically as possible, "how is the Shadeaux murder investigation going? Or are you looking into the allegations against the Ziegfrieds? or perhaps the Hinkwells or the Guild of Invision? How about these reports that the Ji Pei is orchestrating some sort of invasion? You must be looking into at least one of those, right? you're not just leaving them hanging?" -

As Dracula hasn't seen fit to comment on our current situation I'm going to follow the Bride of Dracula's example and vote for him. For now at least. Vote: Dracula (Rider Raider). Care to explain the reason for your vote? -

Throlar took a look at himself, he wasn't wearing heavy armor of any sort, and the skull mask he was wearing should prove an effective enough disguise. "I'm good." -

"Well, there are a couple of things I'd like to have a look at, especially that temple beneath the city, but I feel that heading to the Winking Gargoyle Inn is the best corse of action right now." -

Throlar, having removed his Amulet of Elven Loyalty, equipped his Gloves of the Hippocratic Oath. "You know what I think? I think that Heroica's decline recently has nothing to do with any 'corruption' or internal conflicts between supporters of the different factions. From what I've seen those groups had absolutely no problems working together, either through professionalism or because personal friendships were more important than faction loyalty. Hell, I've worked with Althior Emorith without any issue even after he sided with the Wolfgang during the Babeleth quest. I think the real reason that Heroica isn't what it once was is due to most of it's members realizing that they had better things to do with their lives and leaving. Have you seen the Hall recently? It's practically deserted. I've been reading through the Heroica Archives in my spare time and there was a quest from before I joined, Quest Forty-Four I believe it was, the party for that quest consisted of seventeen heroes, the largest single party in the history of this organization and only a fraction of Heroica's strength at the time. The only other time that number of Heroes was at the same place at the same time was The Battle of the Bridge in Baltarok, and that was three parties at once! Wear-as the heroes at Lady Luck's locale today only numbered thirteen, and that's practically all that's left. The fact is recently the organization has been hemorrhaging members left and right. At this point the return of the Founders is basically the death knell of Heroica as it was, or just Heroica period." Having said all that Throlar opened the copy of the Herald he had taken and opened it to page six to read the rest of what this mystery contributor had written. -

Throlar didn't respond, if the man chose to willfully ignore that the Heroes at the Founders ball had singlehandedly defeated all three of Ulric's major lieutenants then that was his affair. -
Well, seems I'm late to the party, I do hope you lot haven't eaten all the food already. There is food, right?

"Aha!" Throlar had been closely examining the Herald for some time now, seemingly oblivious to everything around him. "Right on the front page too," he muttered to himself, "Blonde. She's always depicted with black hair, but she's blonde here." Throlar suddenly lifted his gaze, staring straight at Rook. "With all due respect sir, the reason that the Wolfgang's leadership is so decreased is due directly to the efforts of Heroica, not the Town watch. As someone who prides themselves on being a seeker of the truth I'm surprised you didn't know that." Throlar shrugged briefly, turned, and followed Karie away. "I presume that we're going to this Winking Gargoyle place now? That seems like what we're supposed to do." -

Throlar equips the Skull Mask. "Honestly, I never noticed any politics aside from the Wolfgang supporters. Wish I had though, politics are essentially my job. Not that I"ve ever done my job, but still." Throlar perked up when he heard Karie mention the number of founders that had returned. "Wait a minute, does anyone have a copy of the latest issue of the Herald?" -

Throlar looked at the man with an expression of unease, wondering how a man could be so possessive of a pice of cloth. "Well... okay then." "Acctually, If you could lend me your Skull Mask for the duration that would help me immensely." Having said that Throlar removed the Greaves of the Wolf and the Gloves of the Hypocritical/Hippocratic Oath and equipped his Amulet of Elven Loyalty. -

Throlar looked at the coat that Pretzel had just given him. "Uhh, Pretzel? I can't use this. I could however use that Cloak of the Grand Vizier if you're willing to part with it." -

"Hiding and being stealthy isn't really my strong suit, but I'll see what I can do." Throlar removes his Infernal Armor and replaces it with his Robes of the Kappa Master, while also removing his shield. -

Throlar shrugged with a palpable air of 'eh, whatever'. "Well I'm ready to go at least. As for leadership, while I would find it a novel experience I doubt I'd be the best choice, so I'm fine with you being in charge for now." -

"Thank you, I'll remember that." Throlar gazed up in awe at the glowing celestial figure. "And thank you too." he said as it faded from sight. Hardly had the etherial vision faded when Throlar set about altering his equipment, removing his Robes of the Kappa Master and equipping the Infernal Armor and the Gloves of the Hypocritical/Hippocratic Oath in it's place. He then used his grating stone on the Unicorn's Horn, unceasing it's WP to 10, and his bright polish on his Weathered Shield, increasing it's SP to 16. Throlar Wineghilm 138 year old Dwarf Paladin. Health, 49/49. Ether 20/20. (OOC: I'm fairly certain that this is correct, feel free to point out anything I got wrong here and anything else I should've added.)
