Jim, Blakbird and other staff are the only one who can decide if this will fit into the rules. I think it has around 500 parts. It is bulky, but pretty hollow inside. My model is similar in size and it has 500 parts. Nice entry, btw :)

A lot of effort gone n this model! I like it. Chassis is a bit sagged, right? I like the color, too; -

It does not spin tires when pulling car? Ok, not pulling, but it moved the car...! -

One of the best so far! -
There is interest. People are just not yet posting their WIP. There will be enough entries at the end of November.

New-holland excavator
Milan replied to GuiliuG's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This triple-articulated booms are not much harder to operate compared to mono-boom variants, mainly because the extra cylinder in the boom is used only when operation on site needs different angle, so the operator can just use the triple articulated boom as easy as monoboom. Otherwise, machine is used as standard excavator. There even are models of the excavator which has quadre-articulated boom, with extra cylinder attached to the stick (dipper arm). Operator can use that machine as simple as the standard model, too, because he is using the machine as it is monoboom. But it is nice to have more degree of freedom when needed. -

So now when you have finished the tracks, can you make comparison...pros, cons of both plastic and rubber tracks? -

They are impressive but they are made not from rubber connectors, but from 1x2 black liftarms. Am i right, jorgeopsi? -
Is it allowed to insert sound of engine, wind, construction beep beep etc into the triplets video presentation via computer? Or at least just one sound?

Pneumatic switch

There are 3 types of white gears, with different resistance, maybe the strongest one can pull the lever of the switch. -

What is the black part? Rigid hose? Just plastic and no rubber may not provide enough friction. What are the problems when machine turns? Tracks tend to fell off the sprockets? -

Put four fake wheels with fake tires. If you make roof high enough (almost cartoonishly high) you probably could get in and out easily. I dont think cannons guns and turrets are for this vehicle. To me this screams to be a small cartoon car :) -

Maybe you should try combination of big tires at the back and small ones at the front. Great buggy. Awesome performance! -

I think that model can be great regardless of number of PF elements. Winner from the last challenge was not the biggest model :P How could someone determine what is the cost of finished model? There is challenge for just that you mentioned in small contest. Pro contest can be made so people can throw in a model everything they want.
