General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
______ replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Imagine a lego flying dutchman! First official made triple cannons and TLCs' first ever ghost ship, I wonder if you can fire the triple cannons? Man I hope they don't screw this theme up, it has so much potential. As long as it lasts as long as the Indiana Jones theme I am okay. The ships alone make it a worthwhile theme because of the Black Pearl and a chinese junk. -
That sjip looks briliant, it looks like it is lining up to bring death on the imperial flagship. Out of interest, what event is this?

Didn't we hear that the first 3 films will be in January then the 4th film sets will come out in May? If this is true and Klaus Dieter has seen the catalogue with no lego pirates then I am starting to get frightened that this theme could be untrue. On the other flipper, the reason for Lego pirates small hiatus could be that Lego wanted to create Pirates of the Caribbean thus meaning that this picture is further evidence of the new theme. Also did Jan not confirm this theme somewhere in this thread? I have checked but can't find it. -
Which is mightier - Black Seas Barracuda OR Brickbeard's Bounty?

Captain Redbeard is the most ruthless pirate in the Lego seas. . He also has a bigger crew and ship, thus meaning we have a winner. -

Isn't POTC confirmed as well? (Sorry for noobish question) -
I really like how you made your own cannons rather than use old ones of Lego sets, Inspiring Moc.

I don't mind the skin colour change at all really, its nice to be able to tell my guys apart. Anyways I think it would be good for the Black pearl to have a fleshie crew because they are zombie pirates in the first film. . I just hope that the black pearl is a £100-£200 set because the detail would be fantastic. -

I think these sets will be good for you AFOLs out there as well because you get some nice new torsos and new ships and the fans, having already owned some Lego produced pirate ships, they can make the massive battle in POTC3 or make a shipyard. Although I agree with getting annoyed about fleshies I think they are hardly gonna change it now. Imagine the wigs we will get, and the redcoats! -

Yay my wishes came true! Hopefully. The hat looks a bit big but that torso! I really hope it is true. -
Is this what that poll was about a few months back? If so, I am sort of disappointed.I expected the London eye or a minifigure size church. I wouldn't mind if it was half of the bridge but minifigure scale because the whole bridge in minifigure scale would cost hundreds of pounds. Just my two pence.

May I be the first to say, WANT. I only have brickbeards bounty and the imperial flagship.

1. Yes, I buy them because they look really nice on my cupboard. 2.I buy individual products such as the IFS because it is could for play value and just to admire. 3. Buckingham palace or York minster (we really need a LEGO Cathedral) 4.A historical pirate ship, such as Blackbeard's ship. 5. Atheme based on actual history, like the 18th century ships and buildings, including lots of chances for army building like bluecoats and redcoats. -
I have too many redcoats not enough bluecoats, which means if i do join I shall have to think of something incredibly clever to make (well not that clever)

Yes! Definitely joining. -
Create a crew. Like 5 or more minifigs in a crew and you choose the best one. That means people with limited parts could join in as well.
