well I was suspecting you would say something like that. I think we know i wouldnt say such a thing in a real situation. I was never that kind of guy. I was many annoying types of guys but not that type. What i was trying to achieve here was a critique that stayed true to myself, (non-candy coated). This is infact how i try to keep all my responses to mocs, atleast lately. If i told Fartface that i liked any part of the moc, I would have lied and therefore he would be given a false critique. I would not offer him any specific suggestions either as the project lacks direction and the moc could become based on my ideas, limiting his creative freedom. So I encouraged him to fix the moc to a point where it would be accepted by the afol community in any way he pleased. I do think if we have an age limit and expel members who make shallow responses, we would also have a standard for mocing. I mean I wouldnt expect my 7 year old brothers painting of a sun to be displayed at a gallery because it is below the standards of an art gallery. Edit: We dont have to work in absolutes. Theres nothing wrong with standards but i think the standards should remain fairly low. I bet I wont give fartfaces second attempt such a harsh review. Edit: Hinkley are you saying you think im a guy who calls em as he sees them? I try to make my posts to mocs as generous as possible. It makes me sad to hear that, if thats the case.

well you almost have a time-cruiser/ twisters moc there and i would like it if it was fleshed out. You didnt seem to take alot of time in building this and its really REALLY not my cup of tea. I would recocomend researching other mocs on brickshelf and mocpages to learn new building techniques and familiarize yourself with mocing in the afol community. Im afraid this thing is suitable for the official lego gallery but not eurobricks. I dont want to seem harsh but we have certain standards here. If you revamped this thing i could probably give you more specific advice.

they are illegal as far as the companies designers are concerned. Some people like them but i guess hinkley and I arent big fans.

no. nope. Trust me you dont want to say anything like that, ive been in the chamber, its the most <insert that tiresome argument> place ever. Hes doing his job and you arent being mistreated, infact your under the age limit so count your lucky stars. But just take it from a guy whos been in the chamber.

chuck i generally like your creations but i also generally dont like "ilegal" techniques, especially where one takes a tile and attaches clips to it. I would think a proper connection would have looked better instead of your current supply rack design. Also the shovel landing gear looks too much like shovels. The rest is tops as usual. I especially like the tail with the red light at the end.

Doug i have to be honest, this moc isnt doing it for me. Its certainly not up to par with your hovercar. I think i can sympathize with you though as your problem seems to be a lack of elements. Oh the things i would build if i only had more peices. Unfortunately it seems good mocing requires a rather large budget so i would suggest getting on bricklink. Perhaps you need to orginize your pieces, which did wonders for me, even though it was just by colour. Anyway i see a frustrated artist in your case doug. Somebody get this man some pieces quick!

The person below me will no doubt agree with my idea of making this as much a person above you game as an all parties adjacent to you game, to make the game more dynamic.

I hope this doesnt inflate his ego too much but I was surprised to see that lego 2000 or chuck's only 13 years old. He builds like some of the best afols on brickshelf and puts guys like me to shame. I am 16 myself, i think i joined before the rule. At any rate its not a particularly fair rule, especially since it cant be effectively enforced. Some of our best members are under 18 and they can obviously conduct themselves in the mature manner eurobricks expects them to. I could see many of our members ending up on the horrid official lego site forums unable to have a spam free lego discussion and get the underground news we get here on EB frequently. To me a spammer is a spammer not someone who is under 18. Thats just discrimination. The ironic thing about this rule is anyone who would actually take it seriously shows a sign of maturity by doing so. Those who come here with the intention of creating spam will obviously ignore it. In all my time on this board i have seen few spammers, certainly not an overwhelming number.

Actually 4j i find yours to be better than hers aesthetically in many ways. I do like how she used the orange slope wedge pieces compared to your tiles, but i like the weaponary, color scheme, landing gear and what i assume are boosters on the back. I think the ultimate version of this would combine certain aspects of both designs myself. Hows the big ship going 4j?
