Wouldnt stairs take up even more space than an elevator? I still say a nice compact 6x6 elevator car isnt going to take up too much space, certainly not as much as stairs. If you want everything accesible, it seems an elevator with doors on both sides would work well.

I dont want to be a back seat mod but remember what vader said guys. I'm happy BS is back up and running but we dont need a new topic everytim do we? This is the reason i suggested a permanent topic regarding mocpages and BS's status.

oh i didnt think space would be an issue. If it was something specific i thought i'd try to come up with something. I guess a motor sounds like a neat idea if its feasable

This looks like quite a project, i'll be sure to keep an eye out for updates. I like the idea of the holoprojector, to me that's really original, if i'm understanding its function correctly. Also I'm wondering what aspect of the elevator thing your having trouble with?

oh i forgot to order these. -
Divers were the best in my opinion. The subs were well built and the theme introduced some interesting elements. And lets not forget this

make a few presents for her out of lego on romantic special ocassions like valentines and your aniversary, and make sure they're good. This will help integrate lego into your relationship. Then pop the big question, "will you play with my lego?" Except i would phrase it "just give it a try." and remind her of those gifts. She might still say no but you'll atleast better your odds. All in all based on what i here from some stand up comics, its not as hard as getting sex. Godspeed

for some reason this boiler room reminded me of the ducts in the movie Brazil.

Are we talking about the same box here? box

i thought you said your entire sollection fit in a DS box stauder. Thats a limited collection. I call my collection limited and it fits in a big hockey sized duffle bag and a backpack.

licenses, lately, seem to cost a bit too much, i guess its because you're paying for the brand. Often useful pieces are in these sets but i just cant justify paying the price for some of the bigger ones, like puff's boating school for instance (which isnt that big at all just expensive). So generally i would rather lego do only original themes. I didnt mind it when all we had was SW, but now we have SW, spongebob, batman, indy, avatar and harry potter. It's getting out of hand.

this things looking good, but its a little colorful, i know how limited your collection is though stauder, so I can forgive you for that ;-). Also im not so sure i like the bars on the feet, but the rest is *y*.

well i made a topic like this (seen here and i would like to nominate this topic for a pin. I hate searching brickshelf and this could be a very useful tool.
-
try angling a tire for the hat, i've done this before and the only problem is the top of the head, which wouldnt be seen anyway. Right now I have to agree he looks very sherpa-ish

These ship designs are great but these guys dont look suited for space travel. I guess you cant do much about that anyway. keep up the good work.

Well i thought it would be a good idea to have a topic where members could post their favorite mocs. This would serve a couple purposes. 1- If any member has come across an moc they really like and wants to talk about, they wont have to make a new topic about it, which almost never seems suitable unless its your own moc. 2- Let's face it, there are some real stinker mocs on brickshelf, using megablocks, and sometimes they're put together by 5 year olds. There are also empty folders and events and when you type something into the search bar the mocs come up in the same order everytime forcing you to go through pages of crap. This would be a filterer, so only 'moc's of note' would get in. This way members would be able to see mocs they liked but cant track down again, or entirely new ones. Ill start done by our own Baronsat thats all from me for now folks. Hope this will be a useful tool

These guys reminded me of the toa as well, they're simple but that doesnt mean they look bad. might i ask what squids you guys were ranting about?

A little help with the stern if you please
john cleese replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
well theres no answer for such a question, there are many ways of building a stern castle and it's your job as the moc'er to find one. I find I can't answer it myself because you haven't explained which aspect of the stern castle you are having trouble with. I would suggest looking first at the original ships TLG made, youll see that they angle the back with hinge pieces if thats what your having trouble with, however i'd like to encourage you to try to come up with something new and original. -
hinkley seeing you with a collection like that i'm surprised you havent branched out into space mocing yet. I dont know why you doubt your space mocing abilities though.
